They are all the way down here in the foothills of the Appalachian mountains in Alabama…I’ve seen them all different sizes and at least 4 different colors red, white, green, and gold…
This is incredibly cool. My buddy and I were up hiking in the Blue Ridge Mountains yesterday and he was talking about how he saw these lights in the Linville Gorge. I will certainly be going to this spot on the parkway to try to see these lights. Thanks for sharing!
Take a strong laser with you and when they start lighting up, shine your laser on them and see if there's any response? I have a feeling they're supernatural.
my sister and I spent much time at this look out when camping in cherokee in the early 1990s...we went up there about 10pm to 3am in the morning. One night we told stories and the lights came closer and closer...they came right up in front of us...we knew they were there and we just kept telling stories and laughing about embarassing times in our lives...times of humility...the lights seemed to like our stories
Did anyone notice how these lights, at least in this particular video seem to mostly appear in the same horizontal level along the crest of that mountain? Makes me wonder if like I had stated in an early comment if these aren't a piezoelectric discharge occurring along a crack, fissure or fault within the mountain. The fact that these lights are occurring mostly along a horizontal level makes me believe this even more because that may be the fracture line between plates of rock, some sort of vein system where a less residual rock type separates the rock strata comprising the mountains geology. Possibly an intrusive layer, most likely high in silica quartz. Quartz will produce an electrical charge when under pressure, stress, vibration. There could be veins of it within the mountain and if these veins are being subjected to fault movement, even so slightly that they aren't felt it may be enough to cause an electrical discharge and ionization of the atmosphere above the fault. Who knows, these lights may be precursors to future seismic activity, a warning that the area may slip and cause a small noticeable quake? I doubt that there is any uplift causing it more likely it is a slip fault of settling basement rocks given the age of these mountains. Who knows?
There is tons of Quartz in these mountains. Gold was discovered here back in the 1800's. This land is home to some of the most ancient mountains in the world.
Then, why do they only produce light during the dark? Why haven't hikers over the years stumbled upon these fissures during the daylight and witnessed them lighting up, thereby clarifying what they are? Personally, I think they have something to do with Sasquatch hybrids that are able to cross back and forth from our realm to their other dimension. I witnessed a video of a hunter capturing a Sasquatch on camera pass by him and turn away from him and as soon as the Sasquatch stepped into some pine tree branches, there was a red and white flash and it vanished before the hunter's eyes and the camera. These lights look exactly like the red and white flash I saw in that Sasquatch video also.
My suggestion on something like this would be to observe that area and see if there is a pattern or specific point on the mountain where these lights occur more frequently than others, then hike to that area, plot it on GPS and bring scientific equipment that can measure seismic, electrical and atmospheric conditions along with cameras to record the event close up. If it happens while the equipment is there, the argument over what it is might be finally settled.
I myself would try and figure out the area and go explore it eventually you would have to get close to it or at it either way. That’s what I would want to do. To get to the bottom of it
When I was 10 years old Coon Hunting with my Great Uncle, we suddenly saw 2 Bright Orbs of Light about the size of a Volley Ball chasing each other through the woods going around trees like two kids chasing each other. We watched this for about 30 secs. and they just disappeared. Uncle mentioned that there might have been Spirits of Dead Children as the Orbs. acted like children. People who attempt to take Bigfoot Pictures at night often see Orbs. when pictures are Developed or Downloaded for Viewing...
They're possibly light being that live in our forests all over the entire world. Some Sasquatch families and little people beings are able to change into these light energy balls and have actually been photographed and videos many times.
I agree. I watched a hunter's Sasquatch capture on his video and as it passed about 40-50 feet in front of him, it turned away from him and started to walk through some pine trees. Just before going completely out of view, there was a red, then white flash that happened right where the Sasquatch stepped and it vanished before the hunter's eyes and the camera view. They're supernatural creatures.
One thing for sure. People have to question! If these lights have been reported for hundreds of years. There has to be something to it! Orbs are common often with paranormal activity. Seeing is believing! You still have to question. There's many places in the world people see strange things!
No this is a completely different phenomenon. The Brown Mountain Lights are in the Linville Gorge near Morganton, NC. This video was taken near Cherokee, NC on the Blue Ridge Parkway looking west into the Great Smoky Mountains. Thanks for asking this question. We realize now that we need to add this information to the video description.
I suspect that there is a Ridge Road around that Mtn. where maybe Soldiers were Killed during the Civil War. Someone needs to try and get to that area and have a High Power Light and Flash Back at Viewing Area to Locate the Exact Area of Mystery Lights. Having the Spirit World Lights All around you would be a Glorious Thing...
Amazing that it's 2023 yet we truly have no proper explanations to how or why or what these lites are, freaks of nature abound!, why is bigfoot not seen in the area of this phenomena?
Wish i could visit this place. But are u sure it's not car lights? I mean is there any road accessable there? I've read that you can't drive in national parks during night I don't know if it's true
Great video Dave, but one suggestion: Next time hire a real camera man. Whoever was trying to film these obviously couldn't figure out how to use the focus.
Didn't scientists debunk this years ago as not being paranormal, but in fact is a naturally occurring event that has to do with gas or pockets of gas coming out of the Earth? I remember something along those lines as to what the mystery lights are.
Then, why aren't there any fires that start in that thick forest during the dry seasons from them? I don't trust anything scientists say, 'cause they're either out to gain publicity for themselves, or hiding the truth about things, just like how "scientists" told everyone to take their covid vaccines, then a lot of those who did started falling over dead from blood clotting. Yeah, they sure know a lot, don't they? I'll stick to my OWN analysis, thanks.
The larger lights look like an emergency vehicle of some sort like police or rescue. The smaller lights are most likely other vehicles or maybe four wheelers driving around. That & having convection with the cooling nights & warm ground will distort lights & make them appear to flicker & move. 🤷🏻
You need to witness this for yourself. Your theory doesn't explain the fact that these have been reported to be seen for over the past 100+ years, and move through the thick forest and the steep mountain sides with no roads or trails, as well as high above the tops of the trees.. I know, we humans like to believe that there is an obvious explanation for everything, when in fact we know very little about most things on this spinning ball we all live on and call home
@@Aranck-kcnarA I agree that we don't know everything there is about this world. It also doesn't mean that there isn't an explanation either, even 100 yrs ago. It could be gasses seeping up out of the ground or could be a form of electrical discharge just as it could be lights from vehicles. Even 100+ yrs ago the natives may have been seeing lanterns or torches from other tribes or people. It doesn't necessarily have to be due to some sort of paranormal activity.
@@michaelmartin4816 .. Daniel Caton, a professor of physics and astronomy at Appalachian State University, has been studying the lights for years exploring different theories, but concluded the lights remain a mystery. He has been visiting Brown Mountain since his family took him camping there as a kid. On one camping trip he witnessed a ball of light climbing up through the trees and ascending into the sky. This was his first experience witnessing first hand this phenomenon, and he's been returning with equipment and other expert scientific investigators from various universities ever since. In one interview he stated that "it's not a question of whether this phenomenon exists, it's a matter of figuring out just what it is".. So I suggest you go there to witness this phenomenon for yourself Martin, you won't understand the magnitude of what the thousands of other witnesses of these events are speaking of until you do. I know, because I once shared the same opinion as you until I went to see this in action for myself
Then why do they only stay lit momentarily? An emergency vehicle would keep their lights on til they got to their destinations and even leave them on after arriving and thereby the light orbs would stay lit much longer than momentarily.
They are in the area of Browns Mountain NC!
I'm from Australia so I've never heard of this place truly amazing and educational please make more of these amazing videos thank you
I live in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Parkway, and I can tell you they're real. It's cool that you watch this from Australia.
If you ever get a chance to come to the u.s.a. you could visit
Back when I was on the family farm I could lookout of the front door to the left over the grain shed and I saw ghost lights there
Anyone else hear the ticking/whining in the audio when the lights are visible? Is that just the equipment adjusting to the brightness?
I noticed that as well. Interesting for sure v

Ive been going to mile high campground for years and never heard of these... ill have to check it out next time i go.
Wow!! Glad to see this video. Now i know I’m not crazy

How close did they get and did you hear any noises coming from their direction?
Which lookout is it
Saw same strange lights over my house

Perfect place to use a quality drone with a 4K video camera.
Or, take a high power laser with you and hit the lights with the beam and see if it responds in some sort of action?

Where at?
I think it's Bigfoot trying to light his cigar!
Very interesting 4:32 is where I’m at I’ll finish watching in the morning GOD BLESS
What if I have 10-20 friends on the mountain with lights at different places while I'm filming it from somewhere else.
Dude someone needs to send a drone over there!!!

The old-timeers called the mineral lights they would follow you as you walked down the road.
Marfa Lights, Marfa, Tx.

Headlights from cars on road?
those are obviously car headlights, they're all appearing on that ridge line and moving in a pattern consistent with traffic

We call these min min lights in Australia. They are in the outback. I understand that our aboriginal people are afraid of them

Could be projection of a flickering light
You guy need to talk to them

They're not cars. They're also white, blueish, orange and red ones here. They are even in the sky and will come pretty close to people at times.
The people holding flashlights on those other mountains must think this film crew is "ghost lights".
Definitely a straight path
Great video Dave, but one suggestion: Next time hire a real camera man. Whoever was trying to film these obviously couldn't figure out how to use the focus.
SASQUATCH. WITH. A
CANDLE.
They’re moving to fast to be somebody unless it’s a bunch of people strung out around the Mt
Cars on the Road
It's just Ghost of the mountain people ghost come around at 3a.m
Seen them myself...at Linville gorge.... quartz compressed by tons of granite...I believe
Yeah, but only flicker at night? I doubt that it's gas, or electrical fields, otherwise they'd happen during the daylight also.
Didn't scientists debunk this years ago as not being paranormal, but in fact is a naturally occurring event that has to do with gas or pockets of gas coming out of the Earth? I remember something along those lines as to what the mystery lights are.

Fire up the stills
Got to be underground base there why don’t you head over there or move closer get drone go camping there u mite find out get better camera 😊
Are those not vehicle headlights?
