This episode will ensure that Mike, Ify, and Siobhan will remember the capitol of Burkina Faso and the 1970 Nobel Laureate for Literature for the rest of their lives.
not to mention the element with atomic number 87.

I was over here like, "Yeah, we all saw it spelled out like a billion times in the episode" ...before I realized that not everyone watches everything with the closed captioning on like an old person.
Can’t wait for Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn and Ouagadougou to be recurring in jokes for the rest of dropout history for these three the way roseate spoonbill is for Brennan
Sam, where are you from?
THAT'S how you spell it?!
@@jackcarlson4358 uhh… don’t take my word for it? 😅 I’m 90% sure this is right but I didn’t exactly google it
@@jackcarlson4358 A lot of languages get weird when spelled out in roman letters. Look at Aztek or Mayathan names in Latin America. They look like someone barfed up a bunch of random letters but once you hear them said out loud, you totally get it
@@jackcarlson4358 it's actually spelled Александр Солженицын
Man, those podiums are a mess, they should have random inspections so these kinds of things don't happen anymore.
And use podium prophylactics.
the inspection agency for that is super corrupt, they can be bribed really easily
@@TheGIJew. Yes, but not until one of them actually has some sort of protection against messes, so the inspector ain't all that bad.
Siobhan got very British at 1:41
Her hooligan came out
She is right, though
Her inner Jaysohn came out
Big Hermione Energy
@@grantgates9164my partner said this!!
Brennan, Siobhan and Vic in a single episode will be the most cutthroat this show has ever been. A game that they can only win as a team and there can only be one winner would make their spirits explode.
We can only hope
They can’t win points for themselves only the other players. So you have to do well so the others are also motivated to do well but not so well that they get ahead
@@kayv8593That would be absolutely brilliant and I can't wait to see how it plays out.
And it should be...a Sam Says
I love that Siobhan gets more British when she's angry. Play back the "No, you can't buzz in if you don't know the answer! I know what the answer is!!!" bit and you'll really hear it come out lmao
Siobhan's NO and Ify's I know the answer Twerk are my two favourite things from this episode
🤣🤣🤣
And then Trapp coming in to clarify the name was icing on the cake
My favorite part was Trapp's Ladder
Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn is my father's go to answer when he doesn't know what the real answer is 😂 Seeing the three of them losing it trying to say it is way too funny as a result.
That's hilarious, I do the same thing with John Petrucci of Dream Theater fame just cause I like saying his name haha
I laughed so hard at Siobhan getting pissed at Ify for buzzing in and not answering right away and then him twerking at her because good lord I was not expecting aggressive twerking used like that
Shioban loosing her mind the entire episode 😂
Francium! Ouagadougou! *ALEKSANDR SOLZHENITSYN!!!*
Solzhenitsyn Is my besty’s favourite author I guessed this one immediately (though I was a little unsure of the year), it felt incredible, thanks game changer crew!
@vyhozshu Which book was his last?
Please edit some of these out of context to make these people seem like trivia wizards, instantly buzzing and saying the answers lmao
I wish Trapp had said um actually when he tried to answer after someone else got it wrong
Or Ify.
This is frustrating to me because they never pronounce it right. Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn has a "zh" that comes from the letter ж in
Александр Исаевич Солженицын. The ж is pronounced like the letter s in "pleasure" Actually 2:11 basically has it.
That bugged me, too. It's like a "dzh" with a very soft d.
Yes! That bugged me too
@@ololo518 thank you for validating me.
yeah, it's zh, not dzh
Siobhan really needed to tell us to Get In The Comments
Yes, but she also specifically said "This is fucking Um... Actually"
I can't believe they all got it wrong, the answer was of course MALLARD.
"WE'RE CHANGING. THE. GAME." incredibly underappreciated
There's a million things I haven't done
But just you wait!
What's your name, man?
Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn
In a later season they need one segment of this just to really mess up the players
I can totally see Game Changer doing their own version of a cheesy flashback episode, whereby they literally change the game in different rounds, to things they've done in the past.
There will 100% be a callback to at least one of these questions in a future episode.
Respectfully: Siobhan looks hella good here. She always does, but especially.
I have talked about how great her outfit looks to multiple people 😂 But yeah dude, it almost weird how she seems to be getting more beautiful over time
at 2:14 trapp says it almost perfectly
AP Lang Coming in clutch: One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich
I looked up aleksandr, and dude got married to a natalia, divorced and remarried said natalia, then divorced and married a different natalia. Just something interesting i found. He was also a critic of stalin.
I'll never forget Solzhenitsyn's name cause I had to write an essay on one of his books in high school and managed to misspell his last name 20 different ways through the course of writing it. It's burned in there now
Very ready for the number of extras in Ben Hur and the length of Gone With the Wind to be featured in Deja Vu Pt. 2
It's eas to say, really. Just say Александр Солженицын

There is no G in that name. Sol-zhue-neet-syn. Points away from Sam!
I love the players slowly figuring it out
is this the first time siobhan been this competitive?
absolutely not, the escape room was intense lol
@@starfrog1999 this time Siobhan had to compete against other players tho. It’s more cutthroat this time.
No, she's maybe more competitive than Brennan at least with trivia, whenever she's done Um Actually she gets just as worked up.
@@JoshityJosh forgive me if my memory is off but i'm pretty sure she started out that episode not wanting to share clues with the other contestants lol
I feel like she's always like this and is being heavily contained by the fact that dungeons and dragons is a mostly a cooperative effort.
Me uncovering a memory of randomly reading The Gulag Archipelago at the public library at the age of 15. Real bummer.
I went on vacation to the sea when I was 15 and that was vacation read... Yeah...
As a native russian speaker, i just want all of you to know that Solzhenitsyn is a really fucked up name even by russian standarts
Trapp got the redemption arc we didn’t know he needed but he definitely deserved
They’re all so god damn smart that this was just a "who can press the button first" competition lmao
Damn, I knew the answers for the first two questions. Had I known Solzhenitsyn as well, I might have thought that Sam was purposely fucking with me for this episode.
I just want to know about the underlying creepy cuts to home video!
Ify twerking OMG
Solzhenitz TELL 'EM!
YOUUUUUUUU!
Siobhans Adine was coming through strong on the Equation.
Move over, Alexander Hamilton. Now is the era of Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn.
I read about Solzhenitsyn for the first time today in an academic paper and now this....
Ify throwing it back towards Siobhan was fantastic lmaoooo
What a wild ride this ep is!
another classic episode
The fact I knew it wasn’t Truman Capote because if it was, we would never hear the end of it
I love how the podium changes and deteorates
Siobhan is so competitive, I can't wait to see her on more Game Changer
Trap is so funny omg
as a russian speaking person, it's so funny for some reason to watch them try to pronounce a russian surname
Soldier neetzen
Siobhan should play a reptillian, element-breathing character in the next d20 campaign so it'll be the Siobhan Dragonborn. *does a stupid dance*
Why does the video get crunchier the longer it goes on 😂
Its part of the actual episode, as they continue to loop through the same prompts, the episode begins to get crunchier and there are visual glitches and such, as if the episode were breaking down as the loops kept going.
it gives very cool analog horror vibes, i grew more unsettled watching the ep
The quality of the "Deja Vu" episode worsens with each "replay" like its a VHS tape, either breaking down from multiple rewinds or as if it's a copy of a copy.
Game Changer us up for an Emmy this year, and this season alone makes he think they've earned it.
Think they made a musical about this guy
That was such a great episode, the Groundhog Day idea is amazing! I'm sure they were also inspired by "Edge of Tomorrow" 🤩
Died laughing from Siobhan's joke about learning the piano by the end of this episode
Trapp's last guess was the closest
Goddamnit, this is that feckin’ Roseate Spoonbill all over again!
Idk why I'm reminded of Jeremy Berimy
Why does Siobahn have a blood splatter on her podium?
It's tomato sauce from Grant O'Brien's spaghetti
@@janNowa tsk, very bad form to leave it like that, i hope there's not a podium inspection coming up any time soon...
@@janNowaYeah he needs to carbo load for that marathon!
Because of Grant O'Brien
I haven't seen the episode yet, but I do enjoy seeing the set get stranger as it jumps forward. Why are there stains on the podium? What's with the plastic cover? Only one way to find out!
The plastic cover is to prevent it from getting stained, obviously!
With a podium prophylactic, you can practice proper safe podium hygiene!
Siobhan's accent makes me feel at home
I thought I recognised the name. This is the guy who wrote Gulag Archipelago, which was praised as a historical account, which his wife described as "folklore" and was generally against it's reception as a historical account.
"that's how we pronounce it in England" I can't 😂😂😂
omg, i was pronouncing ouagadougou incorrectly my entire time
i dont normally say this sort of thing but DAMN Siobhan
2:13 holy shit he pronounced it better than sam lol
"for the ethical force with which he has pursued the indispensable traditions of Russian literature." He didn't get to pick it up until 1974 or the Soviet Union would shoot him for it.
as a russian, it’s kinda hilarious how they struggle with his surname
Солженицын, easy
everybody do the wenis
If you go by Russian pronunciation rules, none of them(including Sam) got it right.
Have they genuinely not heard of him? I get picking an author with a difficult name is the joke but he's like, incredibly famous
I heard he won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1970
Siobhan hemming and hawing on the first round and loosing her mind whenever anybody else takes more than 2 seconds to answer is something else lol.
Fun fact (besides me knowing both these things) they are not pronouncing it correctly, even Sam. It's not like "j" in jackal, it's like in "j" j'ataime in french (I'm not French, I dunno exact spelling)
oh I always pronounced it oh-ha-doh-goh lol
ga*
In the future, please edit without using a single vhs static + loud as hell beep for transitions. And if you do, at least try to mix the audio so it doesn't blow up my ears. Thanks.
I more or less laughed throughout the whole episode because of how redicolous it is
HOLD UP WHY IS Z = X - Y, 2?? WHAT?
X = 8, Y = 6
why do you have *two* separators??? Either snow effect OR color bar effect would suffice. I recommend not using both because it makes me think the latter one is part of the next clip.
I like that it's both. Feels like static is the signal being cut and the bars are the default that the system goes to
Fun fact: Solzhenitsyn was a fascist sympathizer and wildly exaggerated the gulags because of that.
Can you please not use that ringing sound? It's very painful for people with tinnitus.
Solzhenitsyn's "Cancer Ward" is 😗🤌
