Very informative video! Did you consider the whole life policy that can be tagged onto the maternity insurance to provide coverage without any exclusions?

Thanks for the informative video. You mentioned can use integrated shield plan to claim for pregnancy related? Is that only applicable for complications during the pregnancy or even for a normal pregnancy/ delivery process? Thanks

Hi Calvin, apologies for not being clear!
Integrated shield plan is more for complications. While normal pregnancy would fall under the maternity package under Medisave (so basically you deduct from your own MA account).
For complications, it depends on what pregnancy related conditions. What i understand is that Medishield life also covers a list of pregnancy complications (www.moh.gov.sg/home/our-healthcare-system/medishield-life/what-is-medishield-life/what-medishield-life-benefits/serious-pregnancy-complications) so that's why we decided not to get any maternity insurance.
I've also found out more information via this website - plannerbee.co/best-maternity-insurance-policies/ and I recommend to check in with a financial advisor to review what are the existing policies that you might have and get what you need.
      Hope this helps!

Wow your package was actually really cheap. Mine's $1,000 and excludes supplements.
