    And also for the metro that will extended to Bankstown next year, the metro could have extended to Sefton, so platform 2 will the metro platform to Tallawong while platform 2 be train platform to Liverpool and city.

      Reason for it because people that lives birrong and yagoona still have direct and fast metro services to city instead forcing people to change at Bankstown and have to tap off and tap on.

    And another suggestion, for the t2 line that is leppington line, they should have express train to city from parramatta/leppington stopping at Granville, Clyde, Auburn, Lidcombe, Strathfield, Redfern and then onto city circle, while for t3 Liverpool line from Liverpool/ Bankstown let them make all stop between lidcombe and Redfern or maybe make one of them stop all station either from Bankstown or Liverpool.

    And also, they also need to have train from Bankstown to Liverpool as well

    With the city circle part they do a box around it and then in a blank space they show it up close, including the light rail lines. As for the T3, it was originally going to be a branch service of the T2 via regents park but to avoid confusion they decided this service would remain to be called the T3. And then you have the T6 which used to be used for the carlingford line, now been used as the Lidcombe to Bankstown shuttle. It is a little too congested to run it all the way to the city, however what they could do is send it the other way to Parramatta which is Sydney’s second CBD. A direct rail service between Bankstown and Parramatta would be of decent value to many commuters and be much better than just a stupid little shuttle to Lidcombe. I won’t be suprised if the frequency on the T6 is extremely rubbish with the oldest trains on the network, only 4 cars long and the lowest patronage on the network. I think the eventual plan is to build a Light rail, Rapid Bus or a rideshare service to replace the Bankstown Lidcombe shuttle. There are also talks of a metro eventually linking Kogarah to Parramatta or Castle hill which will most likely go via Bankstown and regents park, so that could replace the T6 shuttle but that is like half a century away, so I don’t think the T6 is really going anywhere anytime soon. I think they should improve parking at Bankstown station for all the residents of Birrong and Yagooba who will now be opting to drive to the metro at Bankstown instead of taking the crapshoot shuttle service to get there (now known as the T6)

    They should add some of the trains that’s gonna be dispatched from t3 Bankstown line from Bankstown and Sydnehan and add that to train from Bankstown to Liverpool, Bankstown to city via regents park and rest of the dispatched trains add to it to leppington line and revesby line.

    • @TransitSydney

      This is already happening. Dispatched Waratahs will add to the T8 and hence the T3/T2 via the City Circle.

  • @SheikhMainuzzaman-ei2di
    @SheikhMainuzzaman-ei2di 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I think they need to have changes for t3, like for train going to train, they should have train from Bankstown/Lidcombe to city via regents park instead having t6 shuttle services from Bankstown to lidcombe as people in yagoona and birrong wanted to have direct train to city

    Btw why can’t they have Leppington trains go via the new t3 line where name will be t3 leppington and inner west line while the Liverpool trains service go through via Granville where name will be t2 Liverpool and inner west line. I might sound like nonsense but the people that lives in between leppington and casula experiences longer journey to city which goes via Granville (except glenfield as it has faster city devices via the t8 line.

    • @TransitSydney

      Whilst I do agree with you I also think we should note that Liverpool often serves as a terminus for T5 trains too. It definitely sounds like a good idea from you though, but its also why the cross platform transfer at Glenfield exists so commuters who want quick journeys can use the T8.

    I think you would have been better to focus on the map, and you've made some really good points about it. Extending the discussion into things like what to do wth 'past Bankstown' tracks gets into areas that need a deep knowledge of how several lines interact with each other to make sense of the best things to do with it. You simply can't satisfy everyone's needs, so it should be based on satisfying the greatest number of people.
    The shuttle from Platform 5 was originally a Clearways initiative, to get the old 'full circle' Bankstown services off the very congested Lidcombe to Strathfield quad tracks. It would be a possible to engineer Platform 5 at Lidcombe to dive and connect to Olympic Park and close 'Platform 0" but the value is questionable given OP will also have a metro service in a few years.
    The return of the Liverpool to City via Regents Park services (by far the biggest demand in the 'beyond Bankstown' line area) is most welcome. It gives Liverpool back a faster option to the harbour city than the via Granville route. It was correct of "N S Dollars" (as you call them) to give this priority over a Liverpool to Bankstown service, or some weird three way shuttle. Historically Regents Park was the main change station between Liverpool and Bankstown services and it worked well. Also need to consider that Liverpool - Bankstown also has a 10 minute peak frequency M90 bus service, and Chester Hill and Bankstown are connected by the 15 minute peak frequency M91.
    The disproportionate space depicting the inner city lines really annoys me. It helps perpetuate the 1950s thinking that the harbour city is THE centre of Sydney (it's populated;ation centre is actually at Rosehill and heading for Parramatta). Instead of depicting each line with a separate colour, perhaps they could be represented as banded multi-coloured lines, indicating that they are actually multiple lines using common tracks in that area, and creating more white space for displaying the metro stations. Better still, have a separate inset map that depicts the harbour city area at a more detailed scale.
    I confidently predict that once the Metros are running through the old 'harbour city', they will loom much more in people's imagination than the Sydney Trains lines, and they should reflect that in how they are depicted. At the moment they look a bit weak and ghostly.

    • @TransitSydney
      @TransitSydney  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Like you said, engineering a Lidcombe dive would really be pointless, as it would end up leaving either Platform 5 or Platform 0 abandoned, which is unnecessary.
      "NS Dollars "was the AI voice generator trying to read NSW lol!
      Imo Liverpool to Bankstown having a shuttle service is not a must, but a potential idea. Bankstown to the City Circle should definitely be considered because not only does it add services to the inner west, but it gives direct City Circle services to Yagoona and Birrong passengers, who can choose between train OR metro.
      Transport for NSW definitely won't change the colours of lines in favour of a new idea, since Sydney is accustomed to that design now. White space is so necessary!!!
      Imo the map simply makes the Metro look like a regular train line. It doesn't stand out to anyone as a special line until you actually go to ride it. This is also why people living in the south who have never taken the metro don't end up doing so, and end up intrigued once they actually do! With better display of it they could easily boost usage and encourage people from other lines (e.g. T8 commuters who live near the T3) to take the new metro in favour of the T8 trains!
