My favorite is when they’re getting ready for the Third Quarter Quell and they have to do this thing again (I forget what it’s called). But Katniss takes a dummy, writes Seneca Crane on the forehead, hangs it, and bows.
(But I guess another one of my favorites would be whenever Peeta comforts Katniss)

That scene is brilliant on do many levels. Storywise and for the dramatic of course, but it is a very important scene for the second book/movie.
Beetee explains to Katniss, how a force field works, because there's one in the training area to keep the game keepers safe.
That's how Katniss finds the force field in the arena and destroys it.
This scene made me laugh so hard. This whole time Haymitch is like “ No no your doing it wrong “ and as soon as Katniss let’s the arrow go he’s like “ Now that’s Katniss.”

I remember reading this book and was weak for both Cinna and Haymitch. Then I saw the movie and went well I was right. Also they nailed his beard. I remember reading it and visualizing this cool beard and being annoyed how cool he looked too and was like this book is so dang stylish I love it. Then I saw the movie and was like dayum. Everyone is on point. Effie was so on point too. She's politically violent. She knows how to play the game so well she seemed like a villian too. Until we saw she wasn't. Man I love this so much

Haymitch doesn’t really want to make a relationship with the tributes anymore because of how many of them he lost so if he doesn’t get close to them it won’t hurt but Haymitch and Katniss they have a relationship( in a friend way)

It’s sad but that’s deliberate 😭.
The thing is book wise, Haymitch always says to Katniss that he prefers Peeta and likes Peeta more but Katniss and Haymitch are similar, which makes them argue all the time but they understand each other more.
The movies cut it out, but there’s a whole thing of Peeta getting mad at them for always leaving him out of stuff and then haymitch promises that he’ll tell Peeta stuff from now on… then he doesn’t and Peeta gets captured and tortured and hijacked and Peeta is mad at Haymitch… and it’s nothing to do with the hijacking
Katniss and Haymitch are the same and get each other
