OLD SCHOOL HAMBURGER/GROUND BEEF SOUP/ SUNDAY DINNER RECIPE IDEAS SEGMENT

- This is an easy soup,you can add any thing you want to this to make it yours
Very simple and will diffidently warm your insides on a cold winter or fall night
Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1 tablespoon chopped garlic
1 small onion chopped
1 ( 28 oz.) can crushed tomatoes
1 can tomato sauce(12oz
8 oz dry pasta uncooked(i use penne)
8 oz sliced okra
8 oz chopped Yukon gold potatoes
4 cups beef broth
1 bag frozen vegetables
2 teaspoons cavender greek seasoning
Instructions
Brown ground beef in a large saucepan over medium heat until no longer pink. Drain grease and return meat to saucepan over medium heat.,add onions and garlic and cook 5 minutes
add tomato products,okra,and potatoes
cook 15-20 minutes or until l potatoes are cooked
add pasta and cook 15 minutes
Add in , frozen vegetables and seasonings. Continue to let soup simmer over medium heat for 10-15 minutes.
enjoy with crackers or cornbread

I love soups they freeze good I must try this one. I like that u speak out because u have helped me I wish I knew u when I was younger then I would have prepared better the best thing I did was buy a house with everything on one floor because I'm now disabled stay blessed until another time

Watching you put that together literally brought tears to my eyes. It reminded me of the many pots of hamburg/veg soups mom made us when growing up, it certainly warmed our tummies during the winter. She would make corn bread muffins with it too. I couldn't get enough of it, one of my favorite meals as a child and teen. Thanks for reminding me that I need to make some soon. Edit: I was a bit premature with my comment. I'm anxious to hear your Black History video , I'm sure it will be great. I grew up here in (then a small town)TX but didn't go to school with black kids until Jr. High in the early 70s. Although when my older brother played peewee baseball there were a couple of black boys on his team, while he played the game I played with their brother's and sister's at the ball park. It never occurred to me as a kid in elementary why I didn't go to school with those I played with, I guess I thought because they lived in a different part of town with one of the other schools was why. As I got older I realized most all the black folks lived in their own section of town. My mom had said when she moved to TX in the early/mid 50s from New England, she got on a bus to go to work and the bus driver told a black person to get up and give her the seat. She refused to take the seat telling the bus driver they were there first and she will stand for the ride. As a kid I couldn't believe something like that would happen. I'm glad i grew up towards the end of desegregation.

Hello, Chef! That's a good looking pot of soup. I haven't made my hamburger soup this winter, but I've made my chicken & veggie soup. Love the noises you make tasting the food. When the person who cooks really enjoys their food, I say that's good eating.

Got hamburger soup in fridge and frozen okra. Going in and bring to a boil, toss in okra and thank you, sir! God is good. I watched your dumplings recipe 3 wks ago. Made it twice. Looks wonderful, Chef!! This is just like the hamburger soup that I make!! I add cabbage and zucchini to mine! I enjoy mine with a little hot sauce and some Jalapeno Cheddar Cornbread!! Great video as always!!
