Nice documentary man! However I do have a few things to point out since you wrote that you would appreciate some feedback. The opening montage is great but I just felt that the opening narration had a lot to cover and a lot of things were told at once and sort of broke the rule of films, which is - Show, don't tell. And I just felt that I had to swallow in a lot of information. However, I guess since you were covering an entire place with such a vast history you did your best. Another thing that I felt odd was the abrupt ending of the background noise during the narration, that I thought you could have handled better (and were there different mics used for the narrator?) and also the shots were you showed the food from AMA Cafe could have used a bit more colour to make the audience feel tempted towards it, like the shot of the chicken which were being fried during the interview of the lady who ran a small restaurant and had come to India 6 months ago. I do have to appreciate the voice of the narrator, it was very soothing to hear her voice and the well pacing of the film, it didn't feel like a 15 min documentary. Anyway I know it's a long-ass review and I am no critic, I just gave out the points that I felt because we both are studying film and we both have utmost level of love for them. I hope you take this review in a positive manner and review my documentary soon! Cheers!
Sanjit Mansingh Hi! To begin with, we wanted to cover most of the history of the place through interviews and stay true to a documentary style narrative. However, thanks to CAA/NRC - people in MKT were extremely apprehensive of talking anything about their own history, who they are or anything in specific regarding their own lives because they kept mistaking us for media professionals/government agents and despite showing clear proof of our identification - we couldn’t convince them. Hence, we decided to cover the entire history through a narrative voice-over which even when I was editing, did feel a little too long as well, but as I said, I wanted to cover the topic the utmost entirety I could have, and hence we w went ahead with this. As for sound, everything that you see in this documentary - audio or visual was shot on my iPhone, entirely. The abrupt ending was a problem I faced while mixing sounds in the editor. Still learning it. This is my first attempt at film editing, so yeah. Ama Cafe food - we were so hungry that three out of four days we had our food and then went like - SHITTT. WE HAD TO RECORD. xD So, Yeah, I totally agree with you. And yes, this was a very detailed review. Thank you so much. Does really means a lot to us. P.S. can’t wait to see what you guys have come up with !

Hi Tenzin! Thank you letting us know and we apologise. We included what we were told by the people who we spoke to in Majnu-Ka-Tila. Thanks!
