I am JW for 20 years, but my spirit is away from them for some time. Already going to one church where I feel closer to Jesus and where I do not feel oppression and fear. I do not care if I get shunned soon. I was so happy to partake bread and wine after so many years.
i grew up as a jehovahs witness all my life. But a pastor asked my friends to bring me in. He's never met me before and my childhood friend who became a pastor convienced me to come. Come to find out an ex friend of mines was doing witchcraft on me and they basically delivered me for more than 15 years. I was so naive but i did suspect but didnt know how to explain without sounding crazy. I also feel more drawn to this church but im torn between living the religion i grew up in and chosing this. My entire family members are witnesses and I still live with them so you can only imagine the drama that would ensue from switching over. My mother keeps drilling into my head never to go back there, ive been back three times and I feel guilty. How did you feel when you switch

I remember there was one moment I was “praying”, because how they teach to pray is not how you actually pray (you pray to the Father, in Jesus name - that’s how Jesus taught us). Even in my blindness God preserved my life and years later I was able to hear the real and true gospel of Christ which lead me to have thirst and hunger of him to the point that I had an encounter. At first it was hard because I was partially indoctrinated, but because my heart was willing and I really wanted to know the TRUE God of the Bible it was easier to let him into my heart. I read my Bible, not the JW one because that one altered and NOT the word of God (they change scriptures, add and take out which is a sin per the scriptures), I prayed and listened to sound doctrine preachings. And I’m going to be honest with you, ever since I started praising The Father, The Son (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit I felt what Jesus said, you will have a river of water flowing through you. I had internal peace and this is something I don’t change for nothing. I tried to reach out to a couple of the old folks I used to congregate with and as soon I as I told them I believed more in Jesus they blocked me. I want their souls to be saved, but there is so much I can do. I planted the seed, now it is in Jesus hand to continue the work. My dear, don’t be scared for what your family may think or what they may do to you. Don’t think that just because you visited a church and you enjoyed it that it stops there, start having a relationship with Jesus and LET HIM take control of everything while giving you strength, just have a willing heart because he won’t do something you don’t want. Keep in mind, your SALVATION is more important than anything and so is your family’s, so do it for them and for yourself! God bless you and may the Holy Spirit keep guiding you! I was a jehovah witness most of my life was a auxiliary pioneer and was baptized in 86 and dedicated my life l was on private reproof and l was disfellowship but l wrote a letter to the elders and told them why l need to be reinstated but something in my spirit was saying this not right something is really wrong and l begin to see this was an organized religion and l love them but they have to come into the truth and that not it lm 60 years old now and l can see clearly now
As an awoken JW of 25+ years this resonates! Happy to see Danell didn’t give up on God and Christ as many JW’s have. I think the Watchtower organization has sadly created more disillusionment with God because of the destructive nature of the organization’s dynamics and it disillusions many who wake up and leave JW/Watchtower. This story is inspiring. Just seeing this in January 2022.

So according to the bible there will be a judgment day in the future so if someone wants to be covered, you would need a savior or lawyer or substitute. So if you accept Christ as savior or Substitute in judgment day,you will be covered.

That’s a good story, since being away from church, when I started working part time in school, and being away from the church for 40 years or so, I nevered gave up my faith, and felt his presence, and last February 17/2021 my wife had passed away, and I week later I had a bad fall and fractured my left hip, and had emergency surgery, 3 1/2 weeks in hospital, and in rehab for 2 months, I was searching on line to find a united church, to carry on my Christian faith, the church that was interesting is Burton Ave, united church, and I found the church in Toronto that I grew up in. End of January of this year, and met a couple of missionaries, from latter- day saint, I was going to there church upto 2 weeks ago. Easter Sunday I started going to Connexus Church, and still going strong attending every week

Everybody talks about having a relationship with Jesus. You can't have a relationship with Jesus until you have trusted Him alone for salvation. Jesus is Lord God Almighty clothed in unsinful humanity and He is the author of "eternal life" to all who trust Him alone for salvation. This means that saving repentance is realizing that you are a sinner deserving of God's just punishment in Hell and turn (repent) from whatever you trusted in before, if indeed you trusted in anything; to trusting in the person and finished work of Christ "alone" for salvation.

It is sad that you can hear the happiness in his voice once he recounts leaving the Jehovah's Witnesses. I'm glad it didn't break up his family. All I seem to see is achieved from being a Jehovah's Witness is a life of oppression. God loves you unconditionally as long as you repent and make a commitment not to repeatedly sin without repentance. The rest is a mystery. We can't judge God by human standards.

For decades the Watchtower taught (under the guise of the holy spirit) that the "generation" of Mat 24:34 was the generation of people who, having seen and understood the events of 1914, would still be alive to see paradise. Today this generation no longer exists. Over the decades, all the "divine lights" that will follow one another (10 in all) to artificially stretch this "generation" in order to keep it afloat will turn out to be without exception all more false than the other. In order not to sink with this "generation" that no longer exists, the Watchtower has been forced to teach since 2008 that the "generation" of Mat 24:34 is no longer a single generation as taught for decades, but double and superimposed. The passage of time reveals the pride of this society which, instead of humbly acknowledging its inability to understand this "generation", prefers to persist in its false teachings, going so far today as to twist the meaning of Jesus' words in order to keep this "generation" that no longer exists. Stubbornness in error to the point of absurdity is a characteristic of proud humans. Today this "elastic generation" demonstrates the die-hard stubbornness of this American society. My best friend/bf was a 3rd generation. He slowly faded and doesn’t participate in the organization’s expectations. He’s been “out” for 2 years now & has found true Christianity. It was a long & gradual process, you can’t force it. But, if you love her, be patient, be understanding. I’d slowly bring up verses that aren’t in her Bible (NWT).
My bf is a JW, and I’d really love him to understand the true nature of Jesus. Sometimes I feel lost, and forget that it is Gods will not mine. But I really love this boy and I want to share every moment of my life with him.

When you know Jesus personally you know what is meant by the truth setting you free!

We don't understand many things, but the bible says without the shedding of blood there's no remission of sin. This is God's way, this is a spiritual thing. So according to the bible there will be a judgment day in the future so if someone wants to be covered, you would need a savior or lawyer or substitute. So if you accept Christ as savior or Substitute in judgment day,you will be covered.
Left JW's in 2002. Disfellowshipped in 2008, after becoming "awakened." Left my wife's household in 2009. Lost my mom then my job in 2012. Had multiple relations for 10yrs. Moved to VA in 2022. Totally free from all scrutiny, ostracism, and false hope in 2023.

That’s a good story, since being away from church, when I started working part time in school, and being away from the church for 40 years or so, I nevered gave up my faith, and felt his presence, and last February 17/2021 my wife had passed away, and I week later I had a bad fall and fractured my left hip, and had emergency surgery, 3 1/2 weeks in hospital, and in rehab for 2 months, I was searching on line to find a united church, to carry on my Christian faith, the church that was interesting is Burton Ave, united church, and I found the church in Toronto that I grew up in. End of January of this year, and met a couple of missionaries, from latter- day saint, I was going to there church upto 2 weeks ago.
Easter Sunday I started going to Connexus Church, and still going strong attending every week

Everybody talks about having a relationship with Jesus.
You can't have a relationship with Jesus until you have trusted Him alone for salvation.
Jesus is Lord God Almighty clothed in unsinful humanity and He is the author of "eternal life" to all who trust Him alone for salvation.
This means that saving repentance is realizing that you are a sinner deserving of God's just punishment in Hell and turn (repent) from whatever you trusted in before, if indeed you trusted in anything; to trusting in the person and finished work of Christ "alone" for salvation.

It is sad that you can hear the happiness in his voice once he recounts leaving the Jehovah's Witnesses. I'm glad it didn't break up his family. All I seem to see is achieved from being a Jehovah's Witness is a life of oppression. God loves you unconditionally as long as you repent and make a commitment not to repeatedly sin without repentance. The rest is a mystery. We can't judge God by human standards.

I am definitely glad that he and his family are no longer Jehovah's Witnesses. Religion as a whole is a business. The beliefs maybe different, because Religion is derived from man. Being a spiritual person is what matters overall, not what Religion you are associated with. Religious cultures are very deceptive and distract people from the real TRUTH. PSLAMS 146: 3-4, Acts 17: 24-25.
My heart is so happy maybe God is is guiding you to help the others that's in that godless place to the Trinity that they absolutely rebuke but is the agent for them to be saved and to see the truth and finally know the truth and😅 be saved and finally be free

I was wondering what is it about the Jehovah Witness order that makes it seem so uncomfortable to me, I mean everybody is in Alliance with each other everybody is walking the same, thinking the same, acting the same, they are united. isn't that what we what in the world unity right God? God said no! look at the animals they're all different, look at the flowers they're all different, look at the birds they're all different, look at people they are all different. when the Tower of Babel was being built by men, they were all united and than God said no and divided them through their language. Did God create confusion among men? Yes. Was it wrong?

You will be even more confused with the teaching of this absurd "elastic" generation which puts reason and common sense to shame. LOL.
For decades the Watchtower taught (under the guise of the holy spirit) that the "generation" of Mat 24:34 was the generation of people who, having seen and understood the events of 1914, would still be alive to see paradise. Today this generation no longer exists.
Over the decades, all the "divine lights" that will follow one another (10 in all) to artificially stretch this "generation" in order to keep it afloat will turn out to be without exception all more false than the other.
In order not to sink with this "generation" that no longer exists, the Watchtower has been forced to teach since 2008 that the "generation" of Mat 24:34 is no longer a single generation as taught for decades, but double and superimposed.
The passage of time reveals the pride of this society which, instead of humbly acknowledging its inability to understand this "generation", prefers to persist in its false teachings, going so far today as to twist the meaning of Jesus' words in order to keep this "generation" that no longer exists.
Stubbornness in error to the point of absurdity is a characteristic of proud humans. Today this "elastic generation" demonstrates the die-hard stubbornness of this American society.
I can easily conclude that this fundamentalist “religion” is not ruled by the spirit of a god but by the conceited and proud spirit of 8 men. If we had told Mr. Russell and then Mr. Rutherford that the world which was to end in 1874 then in 1914 then in 1925 would still be there 140 years later, they would have quickly understood that they were not directed by God but by their own vanities.

I don't understand what does it mean to be Jehovah's witness??
Doing what the Bible says and not claiming to be holy when you aren’t like the majority of religions do. Jehovah’s Witnesses are the only religion that even uses God‘s name! That’s how you know it’s the TRUTH.
Living a lie. Letting 8 men in New York dictate your life. They changed the Bible as well. They shun and destroy families if you don't comply with the organization. The people are generally nice but the leadership is narcissistic and spiritually abusive. In short, it's a cult.

This girl I’m really in love with is JW and she very kind spirited person I just wish that she decide to hear and listen and think about the things Christian’s believe I’m just keeping her in pray and having faith in God to convert her so I’m still praying for her cuz I really want her to be my wife if it’s the lord will JW has always been shady to me because it seem like a cult the way they operate
My best friend/bf was a 3rd generation. He slowly faded and doesn’t participate in the organization’s expectations. He’s been “out” for 2 years now & has found true Christianity. It was a long & gradual process, you can’t force it. But, if you love her, be patient, be understanding. I’d slowly bring up verses that aren’t in her Bible (NWT).
