Great video. Quick one on the background layer though - seems like the colour and images were done on the background layer initially but then shown under the images and colour layer later on? Had a slight issue with the off-white text showing against the off-white bg but managed to sort it. Not sure if I understood why there's a background layer..

When I scroll down to Page 2, the margins, borders, and guides are not reflected on the second page, it's just a blank page. What am I doing wrong?

Did you put the borders and guides on the Master page or on Page 1? If you put it on the Master did you apply that Master to page 2?
If you set it up on the Master it will show up on any page you apply the Master to.

You mean where she got the numbers? I think its an average size of a 3 panel brochure you see out in the wild. Probably measured one or got the numbers from somewhere
*Edit: This would be the size if you folded an 8.5x11 paper in three. The numbers would change if you used different paper size
