Good gawd, it has the same exact colour as Kamen Rider Ex-Aid...
And YES, more M.A.S.K. please. Hardly anything impress my manchild side as much as masked dudes and transforming mechs.
Glasses&Mouthplates ex-aid had a lighter shade of pink and a the green on this is a smidge to bright

Checked this figure out on ebay, wow, more then $500, and not many choices. Excellent toy. I had totally forgot about this one.

It's come to my attention that there's 3 tiers of thew portmanteaus, 1st being the ones that he thinks are so stupid and unclever that he just laughs them off, 2nd the ones that work but he's not sure if they're funny so he just says them, 3rd the ones he's Clearly proud of and even presents in a funny clever way
I know it's been 4 years but for what it's worth, DEFCON 1 is highest.

For some reason as a kid, when ever I had something like a birthday wish I would always wish for every MASK vehicle. Not Transformers which I loved. MASK. It just made sense to me. Hurricane was my fave!

Frankly the best time to relaunch M.A.S.K., C.O.P.S. (later CyberCOPS), and even another G.I. Joe line would have been with Transformers: Animated. The setting just seems perfect for it, since you've got a setting where some advanced tech is already standard and where the rest is just part of that group's specialty. In terms of toys, overlap them with each other, perhaps using the different size classes to your advantage if standardization across the board isn't an option. Most of this could still work with Prime/RiD15, I suppose.
Anyway, enjoyed the review as usual. ;)
I wish I still had all my M.A.S.K. toys. All I have left is my first MA.S.K. toy Thunderhawk with Matt Trakker.
Oh hey. After a video about old 80s British TV shows, I finally understand a joke from Thew in a new way. Trapdoor was weird.

It's totally awesome. I'm a 90s guy, and I have no idea about MASK, but this vehicle was awesome. I'd rather have it in deep blood red than hot pink, though!
EDIT: I changed my mind. It looks great as is.
Alright so time to be a bit of a teacher here, first let's talk about the concept behind split second, lord it was a bad idea, but they did the clone thing because in the comic book at the time there was an issue where the M.A.S.K. team and V.EN.O.M. team had clones of them selves that fed of electrical power to remain functioning, it was a one shot story so one issue and never spoken of again, really wish they would have gone with the even ninja killing robot figure, or heck make the V.E.N.O.M. agents seen in several eps.Now as for M.A.S.K. one a whole, it was designed to kind of compete with G.I. Joe and Transformers at the same time, please remember this for later. the toys sold and the show was pretty good, if not heavy on exposition, sort of a Indiana jones meets mission impossible kind of thing, the first season was one of the best, however for some unknown reason the second season both sides became race car drivers with each episode having something hanging in the balance, and all characters knowing who everyone was. So yeah they through out the entire Secret raider thing during the second season, oh and the entire world knew who both teams where and who was apart of said teams. The cartoon failed as did the toy line shortly after, mostly because once the show got canceled the only thing the toy makers could base the line off of was the shorter lived comic book series that lasted longer in the U.K. then it did in America.Jump ahead many years, G.I. Joe released a figure of Matt Trakker, leader of a faction of G.I. Joe made to combat the evil forces of V.E.N.O.M. another secret faction of Cobra. So think about this, you have a secret faction of agents fighting inside an already secret faction of military personal, and same for the bad guys. Not a bad concept but confusing to say the least, no other figures of M.A.S.K. appeared in the line, however it did kick up a lot of talk about the characters being pulled into G.I. Joe and other figures being released, as well as vehicles. Look to the doom cycle, and the Cobra Steel Crusher, each one loosely based off of M.A.S.K designs, Steel Crusher off of Jackhammer, and Doom Cycle off Iguana. Normal looking Vehicles that transforms into battle ready instruments of destruction.Jump ahead just a little bit more, to the combining of universes thing Hasbro tried to do, now remember I wrote M.A.S.K. was made to compete against G.I. Joe and Transformers, well here's where one major problem comes in, G.I. Joe/Transformers done, add in micronaughts, not really hard, Action Man tossed in as well, along with Action force and the Red Shadows, alright all together not big deal mostly because Action Man/ Action force, and the Red Shadows are pretty much the same as G.I. Joe and Cobra only I think the Red Shadows are a little more BA thanks to the Rise of the Red Shadows mini series in the G.I. Joe comic line, Micronaughts hey it can happen and blend in great, Rom the space knight no problem because the Transformers are from outer space and proves to the joes that there are beings out there that they don't know about, that an Rom is pretty cool in the comics. and then comes the next part M.A.S.K. again made to go up against G.I. Joe and Transformers, pretty much through in all the Joes and bad guys from one toy line and it's counterpart from another country, top it off that you re-write the entire story and characters of M.A.S.K. only to give different characters the names of the originals, as well as change entire ethnic backgrounds and make the first issue kind of racist, you put them in a world where again all the enemies know who the good guys are, and the good guys are looked upon as enemies from the other lines until the second run of the smash up not giving really any issues to that line because the sales tanked after the first issue thanks to very poor and misguided writing, but also turning one of the main bad guys into a half cyborg, I was seriously half expecting Vor-tech to show up. Although the fact that they had Visionaries on the line to be added into the smash up made no since at all. They tried to smash groups of characters and franchises together with out thinking weather or not they would mesh at all. Again most of the mashing works when done slowly nope fire ball right out the gate, could they have done this, yes they could have a list of what could have worked with the titles they have has really already been done. Transformers, G.I. Joe, Jem and the holograms, and Inhumanoids could have all been put together because in the 80's / 90's they already where in the same universe and it was all thanks to a very annoying reporter known as Hector Ramirez. Want to talk about fake News this guy was the walking version of it, in each series he framed the heroes as being the bad guys in the battles. So three series that already have a linking point, Add in Micronaughts Not impossible, add in Rom fine since it would only be expanding on concepts already established by the main core lines. But again Hasbro did not go this path and shot their own horse in the head as it was running the race. Think about it, Metlar working along side Megatron, Optimus prime fighting Decompose, Jem putting on a concert at the end of all the trouble. The Granits fighting against decepticons, G.I. Joes and Transformers trying to be careful not to harm innocent people that have been changed by Decompose. Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow cutting Tendril down to size. And don't even get me started on the characters they could have pulled in, Dr. Mindbender meet Dr. Herman Mangler or what he's better known now a days by Nightcrawler something you swear came out of a Lovecraft Story.
This is fun! Doing something different than transformers is a nice idea. Are you gonna do some Gundams On this show?

Long ago i had all the M.A.S.K. vehicles...the Split Seconds line had nine of them.
I don't think I've ever had a complete M.A.S.K toy before. way to many easy to loose bits.

My dad has this and many other mask,star wars,he man and a transformer figure too this caught my eye as the one in the thumbnail he had too! Personally I liked the Condor the best.

I remember back when my old neighbor gave me a nearly complete GI Joe USS Flagg and some Star Wars stuff with a free General Veers and Pierce and Honneycut from MASH. It's too bad I sold it all off in exchange for a complete G1 Sixshot.
