    MOBFAX, that was a great video. I have to laugh a little when I think about how a 30 year old news story is hands down more interesting than anything else on TV. Good job!

    It surprises me how people can come to a channel like this and not see the connections to the mob and politics especially in Chicago, New York ect.. and then want to argue about it. The Outfit back in the day was certainly pretty well put together. Pat Marcy and crew had things working quite well.

      Young man, you are wise beyond your years. Read Ovid Demaris' book, "Captive City:Chicago in Chains". The Outfit used political influence, threats and extortion to reward their family members' companies. The Outfit taught the Chicago Machine, who taught Clinton, Obama and Biden. When Biden first ran for President in the 1988 primaries, who squired him around Chicago? Bill Daley.

    Aleman was subsequently retried for the murder and was given a 300 year sentence. The double jeopardy thing didn't come into play because the whole thing was fixed from the beginning. I believe this action was the result of legislation, and Aleman was the first person to be retried for murder.

    • @SayerofThings
      @SayerofThings ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The problem is Cooley himself said he didn’t know if the judge would find Aleman guilty or not. I’d say his book disputes his claims the double jeopardy case
