Camped this exact spot almost 2 years ago. Part of a two night trip. First night I was on sca fell then worked my way over great gable and to here. Only stumbled on it as was looking for somewhere sheltered from the wind. Was a gorgeous evening but it turned through the night and it was raining and very windy in the morning. Still a great trip!
New sub here, fantastic pitch you got there with all the boxes ticked, also, very well edited and nice relaxing vibe. Love it that folk across the pond use the term "nippy" for it being cold. Haystacks will definitely be my next wild camp when I get off this hamster wheel, thanks for taking the time and effort to share. Chin chin
As I have been there before it was very interesting to watch it. Nice camping spot. When I was there Blackbeck Tarn was also occupied so I went to Innominate Tarn. Well filmed video. Enjoyed watching it very much :)
Many thanks Linda! Innominate Tarn is lovely. I might try that next time in the Lake District. It’s just a beautiful area all around there. No wonder Alfred Wainwright had his ashes spread around there… Cheers
Nice wild camp Alex . I'm also a fan of the Evernew gear and those Sea to Summit mats . I find them the perfect width , where the thermarest are too narrow making my elbows rest on the ground .
Hi Mark. The silicone handles on the Evernew pots are fantastic! As for the sleeping pad; I was having the same issue on my old Xlite, so I’m very pleased with the Ether being wider and more stable. Cheers👍
There were some lovely colours in the sky, that evening. A nice little film.
Thanks Grant! I finally found the time to edit this one…
Hope all is well buddy! Cheers 🍻
“If we are lucky, we will get a little cloud conversion” says only Alex! Lol great video. Absolutely loved your site!!
Hah! You know me!
Thanks Nichole! Hope you’ve been well!
Cheers
Excellent video. Thanks for taking us on the journey with you 😊
Thanks amigo! Glad you enjoyed 😃👍

Many thanks Dave, glad you liked it. To date that was on of my favorite camps. The weather and everything else was spot on. 👍
Another great vlog Alex. Excellent spot for a pitch. You can't beat chilling with a mountain view. Glad you got a nice night for it.

Out of interest - when was this filmed?
Thanks Gary, much appreciated!
This was filmed way back in April actually. Unfortunately I didn’t find time to edit until this past week.
