hey jeff, I as well as maybe others would love to see a video on the 30" scale vaders. the 4&5 perhaps to hear the difference (due to tension change). plus bass could always use some extra love! :D this assuming both basses in this great video were 34" scale. thanks guys! hoping I can save up for some keisel goodness soon! :P

Just received the VB5 I ordered. This will be one of my go to basses. Love the bass for how it sounds and plays. The big reason I ordered one was because I sometimes get so busy playing, I need a bass that's easier on my shoulder, etc, but no compromise tone wise. Plays like a dream, and sounds amazing. Happy.

Didn't think I'd like the single coils. this video proved me wrong, I love them. OK, so the playing is pretty awesome as well. :)

I personally only use single coil for bass, but the humbucker sounds nice if the tone isn´t so fat.

So the Freeby dude certainly has some cool technique, but shouldn't a demo video show off tones using uh...techniques that people actually use?

+Dan Wasko Hi Dan Wasko, it's nice to meet you. I lost use of my middle finger about 8 years ago now do to a neurological problem called focal dystonia. All I'm doing is using my thumb and index finger in an alternating fashion, just like the traditional index/middle finger technique that we all use. The intro was something that was made up on the spot that Jeff really liked, at 3:06 is a more traditional bass line approach al "modern rock", and the outro at 10:40 is more of a single note finger style soloing approach. Thanks for the compliment on the "cool technique" though, I really appreciate it!

      @Freebybass 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

+Dan Wasko No worries Dan, when something goes up on youtube you kind of expect some criticism lol. At first I hated the technique myself but the better that I got with it I realized that it gave me a sound of my own, for better or worse. I've been a professional freelance/studio musician for over 14 years and when I had to make the switch from the traditional approach most people didn't even notice the difference tonally. Think of it like a palm muting technique with the muting optional. lol

+Kevin Freeby I didn't notice a thing besides great playing on a great sounding bass. I just joined the Kiesel club about a half hour ago. Ok a couple of months from now really but this is an inspiring video. Thanks for participating.

The guy on the left has no clue about dynamics. better to have someone like Darrell demoing the basses. The guy on the left has to much ego, and quite frankly can not groove at all

I JUST BOUGHT AN ORISIS FRETLESS FIVE STRING BASS.
    PLAYS GREAT.
HAS THE HARD AS NAILS FINGERBOARD.
Think should I buy an Orisis fretless bass or the Vader fretless in a six string model.
    Any thoughts?

Hi guys, are you going to make a demo of the AC50, fretted version?, I am seriously interested in it but I am hesitant because it has only a transducer, so I am afraid it doesn't have a huge range of tonal capabilities. I hope you see this message. Thanks

We would love to have videos for each model - but trying to shoot a high quality video takes a tremendous amount of time. Keep in mind every instrument we sell has a 10 day in home trial period so if you are not 100% satisfied you are welcome to return it.

+Kiesel Guitars +Kiesel Guitars Thank you so much for the super fast reply. Yes I am aware of that great policy you got, the problem is that I live in Japan, so it would be a real hassle to return it ($$, time, and wishing it doesn't get blemished during shipping). Thanks for your reply though :)

I know I'm in a microscopic minority but I'd love a 32" option. I started with a Warmoth 30" bass and also have a 34" Fender but I just recently converted the Warmoth to 32" and I'm absolutely loving that scale length. I just couldn't get the 30" to feel right and 34" is a bit long for my small hands so while I'd love a 4 string Vader to go with my Holdsworth and California Single Cutaway guitars I'm reluctant to order either available scale of it.

    1) Please include Ceramic and Neodymium pickups in your pickup arsenal
    2) demoing a bass with a guy using his thumb and near-buzzing super low action is pointless and unhelpful.
Please show someone actually digging into the strings, like Geezer Butler style.
