Great! Me and my son did something on a much smaller scale, seeking out and finding the Broadmoor Sirens here in the UK. I managed to examine one that was being removed (see my videos) but never managed to get hold of one like Magna did.
We shouldn't be replacing the sirens with the electronic and text messaging warnings. We should be holding on to both systems as a fail safe in case one the systems malfunctions. IF IT AIN'T BROKE DON'T FIX IT!

Hopefully he can raise some funds to have it pole mounted and it can be used to alert residents of danger instead of just being used as a novelty on New Year’s Eve.

on the fire station where my uncle works they're one of those. It goes off whenever there's a fire so the volunteers know. on poles in his neighbor hood there's rocket-shaped air raid sirens on poles, spread out with stenciled numbers from the 50's.
You gotta be kidding me saying that those people didn't hear it because an air raid siren is an extremely Loud thing and you most certainly will hear them especially at night they give a deafening scream when operating. All of those people must be deaf since they claim that they couldn't hear it.
What actually really makes the difference on a siren, is the elevation. With that being at ground level, you're not likely to really at all hear it too well on a noisy night like New Years. Back when I lived in NC, I had two fire stations equidistant to me. Same STH-10 Three Phase siren on each, 74 had theirs mounted pretty low, where as 41 has theirs up a LOT higher. Ridiculously high. Never could hear 74, but always could hear 41 for miles.

I would get a Thunderbolt 1000T but without the blower.
I did this for 2020, I have a custom siren I've been working on, using a Siratone controller. Very loud little thing.

Here in Pennsylvania, it is common for fire station to have a loud siren outside that they activate to summon the volunteer firefighters.

Where I live there are two STH-10A's and a Model 5 which go off Saturdays at noon. Lot of the towns in my area have active sirens.
