    I was running this saw for about 2 hours at about a 30-50% duty cycle th-cam.com/users/postUgkxfQm1wmg0ItKDLavxj1nXtQY9HP7EF504 and it did a great job. I used the lever for the built in sharpener to clear chip buildup out more than to actually sharpen the chain. It managed to cut some hardwood stumps much larger than it's size without bothering the neighbors with hours of 2 stroke noise.

      Doesn’t work very well. The blood and guts clog up the saw. I mean...that’s what I heard

    Is husqvarna a good brand ? In India I have never used it and planning to buy one due to norwestter rains are breaking trees that fall on walls and axes are difficult to use.

    01:22 to 01:26 Kickback happens when the upper quadrant (not the lower quadrant) of the nose of the bar comes in contact with the wood.

    One other important note. Don't cut your logs on the golf course, because the grounds keeper will murder you 🤣

    I’ve used a chainsaw many of time but never had any kind of training other then me dear old dad yelling at me. Lol.
    Seriously tho. It doesn’t hurt to get a little training video to refresh you up a bit.

  • @shiftyshamsk
    @shiftyshamsk 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    On a serious note. They should sell chainsaws to people who have had some training first. It's crazy to be able to buy these things and "have a go".

    @jacquesblaque7728 7 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    It's NOT the bar nose that's a threat for kickback. The upper quadrant of the nose is the no-go area. Cuitting with the lower nose quadrant works just fine for starting a bore cut. OTOH, how you grip the front handle is important- elbow locked with straight arm and thumb under handle are the way to go. Ear "defender"? That's cute, to a 'Murican.

      I used to work with a guy who would stick ripped off cigarette filters in his ears. I tried it once when I forgot my plugs and it actually works great, better if they aren't "smoked" though. Unless you wanna smell like cig butts...

    I know they cut wood across the pond but I'm sorry. I can't take instructions on things such as chainsaws, guns, fighting, or anything where having large testicle is required, from any person with an English accent. Maybe if this was a "how to play the meat flute" video.....

  • @mikenco

    So-called 'experts' continually referring to the bar as a 'blade'. This video is garbage designed to sell a magazine subscription.

    • @which
      @which  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      So the terminology was slightly different. The advice is sound. All the people involved have held chainsaw licenses for quite some time.

      @mikenco 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@which Wrong more like! What are you even talking about? You don't need a licence for a chainsaw!! FFS, blind leading the blind.
