Congratulations on your upcoming nuptials.
Appreciate you taking the time for my question (and the comment elaborating on the last video).
That tattoo is really cool. I wasn't going to ask, as I appreciate these things can be deeply personal, but as you answered, I am glad another person did.
Thank you! I'm happy to hear you think the tattoo is cool, I really love it and love telling people about it.
Wonderful video full of SO much great info! What a fun idea you and Leah running it together. Such a great couple's experience. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding I hope you have the best wedding ever!!
Thank you Jenn! We did have the best wedding ever! It was so much fun. ❤️
Congratulations Wes, I love you two together!!!!!
Thank you Jennifer! We're very lucky to have each other. ❤️
Congratulations to you both!!!
The prescribed fire was real bad if you were in the wrong place at the wrong time - def messed my lungs. Comparing Brian (~105h), me (~94h) and Chad's (~82h) experience, running in the 90hrs was the worst timing...
It was really bad coming off Elden for those of us finishing in 107. By the time I was onto the streets in town the smoke was better but by then my lungs hurt from the smoke inhalation.
Great video, congrats to getting married. Just finished watching Jeff Garmire's vlog in which he constantly mentioned how tired he was and how unusual hard his recovering from Cocodona was. I think the low temperatures made everyone going faster and harder.
I see some people back running on Instagram. HOW?!
Huge congrats, Wes!! So excited for the news of your marriage! Best wishes for you two!
Thanks Mike! We’re so excited.
Congratulations to you and Leah Wes!
Thank you! 🥰
Congrats on your marriage Wes, and thanks for the shoutout and information on recovering from Cocodona mentally :)
I experience a huge emotional hangover post-Cocodona! Takes a long time for me to get over it.
It helped to get married this year to be focused on something else after. 🙌🏼
Congratulations to you and Leah.
Thank you! 🥰

Hi Wes! Congratulations on your 1000 miles of Cocodona! What an accomplishment! Your videos are one of the main reasons I signed up for my first Ultra. i wanted to thank you for taking the time to visit with me at Dead Horse Ranch aide station. You were very gracious with your time. I was just getting started on the SC125, my first 100 miler! ( at 65 ) What an experience! Anyway getting to meet you was super cool! Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! And thanks for all you do!........My ? is Do you think it's wise to run in a size larger shoe size to accommodate for foot swelling? The front of my feet seemed so cramped after the first day. Switching shoes seemed to help a little. Thanks in advance !
Congrats on finishing SC125! I'm so excited for you.
It does work for a lot of runners to run in slightly bigger shoe, some people switch later in the race to a larger size. I tried that in my first 200 but it didn't work well for me, since then I've switched shoes but not to intentionally larger shoes. If it works for you, do it!
Also, can you email me at wes at plate dot net? I'd like to invite you to join me for a new project I'm starting up after the wedding. Thank you!
Very impressive race and struggle. Well done sir!
Thank you!
Congratulation 🎆🎉
Thank you! 🥰

Thank you Philip!
Congratulations, wes!!!
Thank you! 🥰
Congratulations on the big news!
Thank you! 🥰
I loved all you race videos especially Tahoe
My question is how do you combine this with a job? I don’t have enough pto for more than one race like this. Just curious how runners do this?
I talk about this question in this week’s video! Thank you for the question!
Congrats to both of you! Let me know if you'd like to use any of my drone footage from Cocodona. I can share the ungraded videos files with you.
Thank you Alex!
Hey Wes! Congrats on the wedding stuff‼️ I have the same treadmill & I don’t use the iFit subscription. I use manual & TABATA on my phone & adjust incline manually while watching my tablet.
It was great seeing u on the course near the start, but I got the Null virus going thru Detroit airport & I was forced to drop @ Lane Mt. Nxt up…Triple Crown…any advice for Tahoe? Thx Wes‼️
What I want so bad on this treadmill is a random feature, where it just moves the incline up and down randomly, forever. I have faked it by having an iFit guided run in the background, or run a route created in the Google Maps feature, but those methods are workarounds.
Good luck in the Triple Crown! I hope the Tahoe temps are lower than last year. Stay hydrated so your lungs stay moist and you can expel mucus as needed. A 15 minute lie down can be really effective in settling the yellow shit so you can cough it out.
@@wplate that would be a great treadmill Mod! With the physical buttons to adjust pace & incline make it doable to me. Thx for the Tahoe insight! Follow up question: is the powerline that bad & what section is it in? Thx Wes!
@@MiWolverine96 I looked at this year's Tahoe course and the climb is at approximately mile 100. You run along the lakeside for a bit then cross the highway and zig zag up through a neighborhood. Then you hit the power line.
Here's all my raw video from that climb so you can really see what its like: th-cam.com/video/4r49RGFIgeI/w-d-xo.html
@@wplate Thx Wes! as always u da'Best!

Andy Glaze didn’t have a crew
We talked before the race and he almost never has a crew. Amazing.
