The music industry was in a much different and better place back then. It’s changed radically because it’s become easy to steal audio files of music off of the Internet and release it online instead of printing physical copies of records, so now there’s way more competition than there was in the early 1990’s and the record labels are just putting out practically anything that will stick and make any money in a radically more crowded and fickle market.
You don't remember 2 Live Crew in 1989 "Me So Horny," "Nasty As They Wanna Be", "The F---k Shop", "My Seven Bizzoes".... NWA "F____ THe Police" (1988), there were LOTS of dirty records in the late '80s/early '90s too. Gangsta Rap was just starting to explode around the time Technotronic was at their height.

Both are iconic no doubt! But they are the results of Chicago House and Detroit Techno,..so I would say they are the best of the early Rave Techno Culture

And then only just recently I found out the singer was a girl! I always thought it was a young guy. And I never realised they were behind these other super popular songs. Great to see they are still enjoying the fame and income from these iconic 90's songs.

Ya Kid K didn’t initially know how big the song would be or that the record label would go and hire a model to act as a frontwoman for her for the group. She clearly saw Technotronic as just potboiler studio work to make money on the side.
YEssss, I love how she is low-key like "omg, nobody wants to hear anything else I do" BUT unlike other artists from the past she STILL GETS PAID from her older songs not many can say that. She must own some of the publishing.
