I have owned both the 43X and the Hellcat Pro...as a matter of fact I traded the 43X for the Hellcat Pro....so glad I did.....Better trigger, better capacity, better sights, and is a shooter for sure....43X is what it is and probably just right for some.
@@jackdevero3398 you a super rookie? No one in their right mind would say one of these pistols is definitively better than any other one of them. It’s mostly subjective as all of these pistols perform well.
Why, when doing these videos, does no one talk about the 365 / XL MODULARITY? The fact that you can change out to totally different grip modules if you don't like the standard? Wilson combat now makes one, and there are a couple of companies that make aluminum grip modules. You can build / order a 365 in whatever configuration you choose. That is a plus that puts the others out of the conversation, in my opinion...
I believe Steve mention he customized his. We didn't because we are comparing stock to stock. But that is a good point that we should have brought it up more.
I'm honestly surprised more P365/xl owners don't take advantage of this. I used to work at Scheels every summer during the school break and I always thought the P365's modularity was a major selling point. Then I realized that many people are casual gun owners and don't really take advantage of this (maybe it's just because I worked at Scheels which is a sporting goods store that sells firearms instead of a gun store so we get more casual customers). Sure I get shit from turning my P365 into a "race gun" when it primarily should be used for a CCW, but I love taking advantage of the modularity. It makes more sense to do it with the larger P320 series, but if the option is there for my P365 I'm going to take advantage of it. Heck at this point I spent more getting different grip modules, slides, and barrels for my P365 that it would have made more financial sense to just buy an additional P365xl instead. However, just having the option of changing grip lengths, slide lengths, and grip modules from one FCU is still cool.
most people don't care. you can swap the slides with all the brands. the only real advantage is you can swap grip modules with the sig. you can actually do that with the Glock and hellcat you just have to buy a lower yes it's more money but no one is really going to put a smaller grip on their gun. if that's what they want they are just going to buy a smaller gun. so when you say the xl is modular I would ask is it really. standard 365 I would say yes. but with the hell cat extended mags I would say that's a wash.
@Frank Bonazza III people definitely make lowers for Glocks. Like 10 different companies. And also you missed the point. You know who makes lowers for hellcats Springfield. Yes it's more expensive cuz you have to buy a whole other gun but it can be done. And again you missed the point because that's irrelevant because nobody's going to put a smaller lower on their gun. So the advantages of the XL are nil because no one's going to put a smaller lower on their gun. If you have the regular 365 you can make the argument that you could buy the larger lower but that's not worth talking about here. And every gun has the ability basically to buy a different slide. That's not exclusive to sig if you have a Glock you can buy like 300 different slides. So the modularity at least in this case is kind of like whatever. Not a huge Factor.
Sig for me, the WC XL grip module puts it out in front. 43X has no texture to speak of which is weird because the Gen 5 texture would have been just fine. As for the Hellcat, I know that Springfield doesn't make it and I have nothing against them but I do however find myself hesitant to purchase from Springfield. I have heard both sides of the story and I am assuming the truth falls somewhere in the middle and that's enough for me to steer clear. Grip texture on the Hellcat was good, but I felt like the ergonomics were a bit lacking compared to the stock P365 grip module. In the end if you have the money to pimp out a 43X MOS and you want to rock Glock then go for it. If you like Springfield and you want something that size then get the Hellcat Pro, and if you like modularity then go with the Sig.
Well said! I appreciate your open mind to this. For us, we could have added upgrades to the Glock and Sigs but we wanted to make it fair in stock configuration. That being said I think I need to try this WC grip.
Great video! I own the 365XL and shot the 43x and standard Hellcat. I must say, the modularity of the Sig, night sights, holster options and better recoil as a EDC carry was part of my decision process. All Sig would need for rail option is manufacture a lower with that option. However, the 43x was a close second due to being a Glock owner. I agree it’s all about what works best for you is always the best purchase. I love my 365xl with Holosun optic. But the co-witness rear sights does change the game for the Hellcat Pro. Might go shoot one to see how it compares now I’ve seen your video. Thanks guys.
@@outoforder6600 The original Hellcat but only with the extended magazine, but that’s to be expected. Since then, I bought the Glock 43XMOS very nice the grip is the same size as the Glock 19. All 3 firearms are great and depends what I’m wearing, plus I find the Hellcat very comfortable especially on long road trips.
I currently own all three. I just changed out P365 XL grip to a Wilson Combat grip and I love it, I have large hands and the Wilson Combat is thicker and feels much better in my hand. I just received my Hellcat Pro with Hex Optic, and have not had a chance to shoot it yet, but I love the way it feels in my hand. My 43x with Holosun 507k optic, has been my carry gun but to make it better I put a Zev Trigger and a mag well on it and it shoots great, And feels great in my hand. I haven’t made my final decision on my carry gun yet but will soon. I love shooting my 43x and my p365xl, cant wait to put some rounds through my new Hellcat Pro.
I’m waiting for the Wilson Combat Grip module. I have the XL with Holosun optic and it’s the best shooter “for me” of the 3. Looking forward to see how that WCG feels.
I got a chance to get to the range today and shot the P365XL and the Hellcat Pro. They both shot great, I love the Wilson Combat grip, it fits my hand and made it really easy to shoot. The Hellcat Pro really surprised me, it was awesome to shoot, dead on target and it was very easy to get back on target shot after shot. The recoil on both guns was very manageable. I love them both. I really couldn’t compare the two guns to the 43x they are totally different, in my opinion the 43x doesn’t come close to the performance of the P365XL or the Hellcat Pro.
I didn’t like the thickness of the hellcat and it was bouncing around in my hands when rapid firing. So i fixed the grip with hockey tape. Now i shoot it better than all my other guns 👌 it’s my edc
Already was carrying the original Hellcat with the 15rd magazines that have the grip sleeve on them. It's basically a Hellcat Pro with a shorter barrel, and it's a comfortable grip for me just like that. I've seen people on youtube say the Pro shoots better than the regular Hellcat, but I don't know since I've never shot a Hellcat Pro. I have all 3 of the guns being reviewed as well as a basic 365. The one I carry the most is my own version of a 365X, which I created long before Sig decided to release their own. I mostly carried a 365 slide, XL frame, with magguts +2 magazines. The most recent switch to it is the new Wilson 365 XL frame. My 43x has the Shield Arms steel mag catch plus their 15rd SA magazines. I've never had issues with it set up that way, but I've still been hesitant to carry it due to all the "alleged issues" others have had with them.
Those are all nice setups. The only reason we went back to stock on the 365xl (check out @mrbigkids video on his upgrades) is to compare apples to apples how it comes out of the box. That way I can't say well it was better with this upgrade or that one. We have not tried the hellcat with the 15 round mag yet but I don't want to see how it compares recoil-wise. In stock configuration, the pro was less snappy. For me the advantage of having a longer barrel makes it worth getting the pro over the original hellcat with an extended mag. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@TrueShotAmmo the original Hellcat with the 15 round magazine is a very controllable shooter. The flush fit mag is a bit difficult to shoot the kind of scores I’m used to, but using the 15 rd mag makes a huge difference. And the 15 rd mag is an official Springfield product. I did replace the trigger shoe with an Apex and that made a huge difference and didn’t cost much.
I have the 43x, and have had the Hellcat pro for a week now. Love both! But the hellcat Conceals better imo because the slightly longer slide makes it less top heavy than the 43x.. Also, if you have the 43x, get a rubber Talon grip for $15. By FAR the most pleasant grip. Even more than stippling.
I have only owned the Hellcat Pro, but have to agree with the video on the grip and holster pull. When shopping, my wife and I would never find a pistol we were both comfortable with, her hands are smaller, so standard grips on full size pistols didn't feel as comfortable for her. The micro compact like the Hellcat(not pro) are too small for me to feel comfortable. The Hellcat Pro is the first pistol we have both picked up and feel that it fits perfect.
It’s a $40 mod to get your 43x to use those mags too. So don’t forget that. Glock just needs to come out with a 43x 2.0 that has 15 mags, optics ready, a better grip and on. Otherwise I feel like you need to mod it to catch it up to the other two.
Great video! I was convinced that Springfield was the answer for my first handgun purchase. Shot all three at the range and consistently shot tighter groups with the Sig. The 43X grip was too big for my taste, and especially when it didn't come with a corresponding capacity. The Hellcat trigger was incredibly stiff about every fifth pull, then would return to "normal." This was true on the range gun as well as 3 others I dry-fired in different retailers. I don't know if this would improve with break in, but it made the Hellcat unusable for me. Your final advice to buy the one that works best for you was spot on for what I ended up doing. 12 rounds on target is better than 15 rounds all over the place.
Yea same here the hellcats trigger was gross and made me put it back after one mag I kept shooting the sig over and over it felt so good plus I hit wayyy more shots plus the recoil was way more manageable
I traded in my Ruger Max-9 for the G43x and I am happy I did it. The gripe size and material is perfect for my hands. I also carry the Shield Plus with a sleeve grip on it. The sandpaper grip style grabbed my shirt all the time so I printed too much.
Those hellcat pro grip texture pyramids are awesome. Love how they staggered them to allow for adaptive grip texture. I have all three of the pistols and the hellcat is quickly becoming my EDC favorite.
Excellent review, I own a G43X and bought a 48 slide. So I move between them depending where I am. Lots of aftermarket bells and whistles for the G43X-48 (Kagwerx slide release, TLR lights, Shield Mags, Apex triggers, etc). I have the SIG365XL as well. Very nice pistol. I like the Springfield XDs but man what ass pain to get parts from Springfield to work on your own gun. I have not shot a Pro, but I do love the XDs. Excellent point on the 'luxury of time' for the Pro. I spend a lot of time overseas and Glocks are EVERYWHERE, and they go BANG every time the trigger is pulled (big point for me as well) plus my PCC takes Glock mags (G17/19). My EDC in the States is a G43X and duty is G19 (because they are everywhere). Again, an excellent review, I may 'impulse buy' the Pro and see how it feels. Thanks Fellas.
Exact video I was looking for, great job! If I had any critiques I'd say weapons gen isn't a great argument. Most classic cars are still fantastic but I wouldn't say "well I would of won the race if your car was 30 years older. "
22:30 this is often overlooked when getting a carry gun. Being able to draw the gun and present consistently is crucial. This is what put me in the hellcat camp. In all honesty though, you can’t go wrong with any of them!
I own all 3 and I can honestly say the Springfield was a compulsive buy, I just didn’t expect it to be so good I’m a Glock guy own a few CZs and Sigs but mostly Glock can’t say enough how well the hellkitty fits , hate the name thank god it doesn’t say grip zone on it but dam I’m eating my words , fit finish and performance is top notch - polished feed ramp beefy extractor then Croatian boys really out did themselves 👍would love to see a 17 size one with 18 to 20 rounds for winter carry .
Do you agree that the G43x is the snappiest ? I own the 365XL and the regular Hellcat and I find the Hellcat been the snappiest out of the 2. Would you say the Hellcat and the G43x is equal in recoil?
@@Mike-4547 honestly I’m a bigger guy with X-Large hands I’ve carried 10mm and 45acp I’ve never found 9mm snappy the hellcat might have more felt recoil to some all 3 guns track well for me , I’ve never liked sigs striker fired triggers , that and the fact the sig is smaller in my hand that pushed me towards the Hellcat and I don’t trust the shield arms mags in my 43x and 48 to carry 🤷🏻♂️ to each their own.
It’s the 43x mos for me absolutely love it I have the kageworks ambi slide release, XS night sights, aftermarket Magwell, 2 shield arm 15 round mags, trl7 sub and getting a apex in it soon. 👌
The XL is the winner for me. They really knocked it out if the park with the FCU and the modularity. I'm not a Glock guy, personally don't get the hype behind them in this day and age, but I wouldn't complain if that's what I had available. The WC grip module, 15 round mags, and a red dot on my XL made it so much fun to shoot. I'm excited to see what Sig does with the next generation of XL. I'd like an actual picatinny rail and to keep my rear sights. Maybe modify the trigger/trigger guard so it isn't so difficult to shoot with gloves. Anyways, great video! Loved the content and hearing all of your opinions. Godspeed and God bless!
I wish Glock would release their version of the Hellcat Pro in a Glock 43x size with flush fit 15 round mags stock. That would be my ideal CCW. I know their are Shield Arm mags but I haven't had the best of luck with those (great for range fun though).
I don't want to deal with Shield Arm magazines. There are a lot of people having issues with them. Wish Glock can come up with a gen 2 version with 12 rounds magazine capacity.
@@villafontananorte I know what you mean. I would have loved if my SA mags worked 100% of the time and I'm envious of those who do have those working mags. The first one I bought kept having issues and when I sent them back to SA, they said those mags were out of spec and sent me replacements. These work much better, but I still have occasional feeding issues so now they're just for range fun. Now if Glock can release a G43 that has at least 10 rounds flush fit or a 43x that has 13-15 rounds flush fit mags straight from Glock then that would be a dream come true
I know it's another more money post referring to Glocks, however, the Shield Arms mag release makes all the difference with their mags. This was actually recommended by my dealer and I decided to bite. Glad I did. Mag changes with stock mags/stock mag release are typical and expected, wonky (for lack of a better term) with the Shield mags. Made the mag release change and those shield mags literally shoot out of the magwell now. Now, that being said, the OEM 10 round mags are now hesitant to drop free, but I just know not to carry them and stick to the Shield arms mags only. My $0.02.
Exactly the comparison review I was looking for. I agree these 3 fire arms are direct competitors of each other. I currently own and love my XL but I’m really interested in the Hellcat pro since the deal breaker for me in the past was the size of the original Hellcat. I feel the pro is what the original Hellcat should’ve been. I do also like the 43x mos but if we’re talking about ready to go straight out of the box then I would go with the Hellcat pro unless there is an Pro version of the 43x then that would really grab my attention fingers crossed that Glock hears us out on that 🤞🏽
These are amazing times compared to what we had back in the '70's. It's hard to process that was 50 years ago. The P365 was having problems when I considered the micro 9's, so I had the 43x and Hellcat at the same time. I had no issues with the 15 round 43x magazines. I shoot a little high with the G19 grip angle and the 43x is a little better. I loved both micros but I passed the 43x down to my son. The Hellcat was a little more concealable, I almost traded one of my Hellcats in for the Hellcat Pro OSP last week but decided that I valued the improved concealability and flexibility of 11, 13, and 15 round magazines of the "amateur" Hellcat ; ) I also decided I didn't want the additional size, weight, and expense of an optical sight on a micro nine. Not to mention that I was dropping a hunk of change trading "up" to the PRO OSP. I understand the modular and aftermarket appeal of the P365, especially if you already have a P320. But I preferred the sights, trigger, extra round, and grip angle/feel of the Hellcat over the P365. Just as I would pick the 43x again if I also still shot a G17/19. But using that logic, my favorite point and shoot service pistol grip angle is the original economical XD40 with 357SIG and 9mm barrels, so the Hellcat is its logical little buddy. 😁
I went to check out the P365X at the gunshop and liked the thin full finger grip, but was disappointed with the trigger that had a lumpy take up and mushy break. I later checked out the Hellcat Pro and liked the very similar grip, 15rd capacity, a smoother take up, and much crisper break (albeit with a slightly higher 6 lbs pull). I preferred the Hellcat Pro front night sight with high visibility U rear sight. I went with the Hellcat Pro (optic ready, no optic), no regrets. I also like my Mossberg MC2c which is more affordable, is similarly slim in the grip and slide for comfortable carry, and has both 13rd and 15rd mags for extra carry versatility. Only downsides of my particular MC2c were a too stiff extractor (solved by trimming the extractor spring one coil) and a mag release button that is a bit too proud of the frame (fixed with a small stick on bumper pad behind the button). Other MC2c owners have not had issue with these.
I do appreciate your content on these three! I would like to say as of April, the 43x is 200 cheaper, than either contender. I really like the sig, and am looking into getting one. The glock is basic as it gets, but proven reliability. There are so many to choose from for edc, it's confusing at times.
Yeah, it is. Have to remember that is you get the Glock 43x and want to get use an optic you need the get the 43x MOS ( that's what we used). It still is a bit cheaper but not by much I think $20 less. The Sig is a great choice. It was hard to choose between the sig and Springfield. For me the Pro just had everything if would look for in a carry gun.
Have the G43 and the pro for my EDC. G43 is perfect for the comfort and size, but the pro is awesome for the ammo capacity and doesn't trade too much in comfort. Handle has a faint bit more footprint if you're looking for it. For shooting, I pick the pro all day. Enjoy the pro much more at the range.
Hell cat pro is the clear winner from me. I have a buddy who also bought it, who has smaller hands and he's actually found it uncomfortable to shoot so be sure to try them out before you buy any of them because it's all relative to your hand! the extra features are only a plus, make sure it fits your hand well. Perfect little gun for me tho, edc
I own all 3. My carry rotation in order is, 1. P365XL, 2. Glock 43X, 3. Hellcat Pro. I have some PSA Micro Dagger mags coming so that will probably bump up the 43X to the number one spot depending on the reliability of the PSA Micro Dagger mags. They are all great guns and don't feel bad if you do not own one or the other. I love the HCP too, but I've tricked out my 43X and am used to firing it more because the grip angle points more naturally for me. The only reason why the XL is number one, is because it is a little more concealable than the 43X and a tad more capacity. The grip on the HCP is little square-ish, and after extended times of shooting, it can do a number on the palm of your hand. That's just me though. As far as drawing purchase goes, the 43X is by far the quickest and most consistent draw out of the 3 for me.
Sig's quality control issues makes choosing any of their offerings a non-starter for me. I'll stick to the 43x. Or any other Glock. Or M&P. Or FN. Or Springfield. Screw Sig.
Although I shoot my Hellcat pretty good. It is very snappy and it makes me less likely To get the Hellcat pro. I've since went back to my M&P Shield. 2.0 and just carry a backup mag. The Hellcat is much smaller than the shield. With more capacity. So if I'm going somewhere and I really need that capacity and could only have one magazine to keep down printing, I'll carry the hellcat. But for the most part, it's the Shield for me.
Nice video I have a couple of spring field ,one xd and the other is a xdm pro, also right now spring field will give you 2 more magazines and a bag,the only thing I don’t like about spring field it doesn’t hold its Value.so if you try to trade one in they will try to give you hardly nothing.but do like the spring field he’ll cat pro.spring field guns are very Accurate
Height or grip height with OEM magazines inserted the Hellcat Pro and the Glock 43x mos are the same, the 365xl has a shorter grip so it conceals easier. I own all 3 of them and the new 365xl comes with a different slide so you don’t lose the rear sight when you install a red dot. Not meant to trash the video but when they where measuring the height they placed them on the table. All 3 are great if you don’t mind the extra weight the Hellcat Pro is the way to go, but definitely try them all see what fits your hand better for me I shoot the G43x better and faster but to be honest I did replace the sights and added some rubber grip tape.
A more relevant question for me. If you live in a non-free state where mag capacity is capped at 10 rounds and if you don’t want to carry an optic on the carry gun, so co-witnessing is irrelevant, then which of these 3 guns would you pick as your carry gun?
Great question. I personally would say most likely the 365XL. I believe the sell it with a 10rd mag. As far as I know the pro does not come that way yet. If neither is available I like the p365 and the hellcat but the p365 takes the edge just a bit since I do carry it daily. If you like Glocks and the extra length go with the 43X. Personally, I was not a fan of it compared to the other options.
I had carried the Glock G48 and G45. I handled and shot the Sig P365XL and liked it. The Hellcat Pro won me over; it has replaced the G48 and G45 as an everyday carry. With a 15+1 capacity it struck a balance (with me) between the G48, G45, and P365XL. The grip texture, angle, and width feels real good in my hand. Now, it's just more range time with the Hellcat Pro to get us perfectly in tune with each other.
Get it with the Tungsten inserts. The Wilson frame makes the 365XL feel like a brand new gun. The original Sig frame is okay only if you have small hands. That said, the Wilson frame isn’t perfect. If you don’t already have a 365XL I would get the Hellcat Pro. Sig is releasing a new gun next week.
Decent review. No one mentioned the slide serrations. The issue I have with the Hellcat is that the slide serrations aren't deep enough and my hand slips when manipulating the slide.
For me it’s the g43x, no contest. But that’s just because I shoot Glocks a lot and I trust them. That said, the hellcat pro is THE gun to get for most people, especially when considering the price. Sig? I just don’t like how they test their stuff on the consumer. My p320 had to go back to Sig twice, and I also find the p365 trigger to be too light and unsafe with no trigger shoe safety. The g43 needs the Shield 15 round mags and the Shield mag release to be competitive with the other offerings. This then puts a complete g43 significant higher priced than the competition. Unless you’re dead set on a Glock like I am, I think the Hellcat Pro is the way to go
I have to shoot some rounds on the hellcat pro. I’m in the market for a new gun and try out a new platform. I am also a Glock fanboy and been shooting only 40 S&W. But going to another brand and bullet size too. Great video 😉
Great vid guys. I have a standard Hellcat, I carry 15 round mags and think they fit better than the Sig P365X or XL with the 15rd extended mag. In comes the Hellcat Pro. pretty nice but I would like to get into the Sig Ecco System. Do you think you would sweat the extra capacity of the Hellcat/Hellcat Pro or go with the 12RD flush mag in the 365x variants?
I think at that point it comes down to comfort and what you like. I found that I like the 365XL but I like the PRO a bit better. It's a hard choice but at the end of the day comes down to feeling and comfort.
I think this is a valid question: “Are 12 Rounds enough and how does the P365XL feel with the 12 round mag?” I own the 365 XL and it fits my hand well and is hoot it incredibly well. I’d have bigger Problems if 12 rds wasn’t enough. Just my .02 worth.
@@gair1944 I appreciate your input. Round count numbers come down to several factors one being do you feel comfortable with the number of rounds you are carrying. It also depends on the training you have taken and what you taken away from those classes. Personally, I carry a P365 and a spare mag. That being said I would take the XL or the Pro any day of the week.
When you stick the mag in the 43x and the Hellcat Pro are basically the same size. Sure the barrel on the 43x is a little shorter, but they carry THE SAME.
my question is whats in store for hellcat down the road will they do comp like the small hellcat or do something like sig did with the 365 xl. i know shadow system is coming out with glock like 43 wonder what that be like
@@TrueShotAmmo The Overwatch precision trigger for the Glock is really nice. Takes it to about 4.5-5lbs with a clean 90 degree break, no slop, grit or creep, and the reset is short and aggressive putting your finger right back at the 90 degree wall for the next shot. Completely changes the gun.
I've owned the 43x for a long time and shot it "ok". I wanted an optic ready carry gun and thought the Pro was going to be the one. I had the Pro and the 365xl on the counter at my local shop and liked them both initially. I went with the 365 because the Pro had a hard trigger pull to me. With that being said, I still want the Pro for some reason. I'll probably buy it and put 500 rounds through it and see if the trigger gets better. Did you guys see any improvement in the trigger of the Pro after shooting it?
You actually can get the 365xl from factory with an optic. It’s the Romeo zero, which you may or may not like. I have one and like it very much. Also, I think the 365xl specter would be more of an appropriate competitor to the hellcat pro.
You can always go to ur local gun shop, some will usually offer custom kydex holsters, a lil pricy but def worth it since they'll form it to the exact shape..no matter what light or sights you have
Glock 43x mos is great if you have the extra money for it to be a project. I don’t think many ppl run with it stock. But Hellcat pro is best out the box.
Maybe it's just me. In the beginning co-witness sight was a factor; however after shooting red dots for a while and with some optic brands providing solar power options and rear sight; co-witness sight becomes irrelevant. I guess each to his own. I'm confident that even if I can't use the optic for whatever reason, if I can see the front sight, I'm still able to hit a target within 7 yards, hence I'm not a slave to iron sight anymore when the optic is readily available at all times.
You bring up a good point. I like having co-witness it lower 3rd sights in case the optic were to malfunction or lose zero. This comes from taking multiple classes with and without a dot. I have had a dot fail in class and was point shoot but have the irons to fall back on in case was nice. It's like having a 4x4 knowing most of the time you won't need it but when you do it comes in handy. Poor analogy but I hope you understand what I mean.
@@TrueShotAmmo Experience is the best teacher and if that happened to me perhaps I'd be weary myself; but again, each to his own. when I set out to put an optic on my firearm. I did a lot of research and watch a lot of reviews to make sure the optic that could possibly protect my life will not fail or at least duty certified and mounted to spec. And I get the co-witness thing and for some people it's a necessity. I've competed production iron sights for several years, uspsa and after moving to carry optic, I've never turned back. Red dots provides so much data when shooting and I understand why I was missing shots at iron sights that I believe if new shooters were to begin in red dots they'd be a better shooter at iron sights.
@@alexmar1382 I appreciate your insist and agree completely that pistol dot are the way of the future might as well start off and learn from there. When something fails on you it teaches you how to adapt. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I'll stick with me P365XL or my Shield 40S&W before buying the Hellcat pro. Hell, I'll carry my Glock 27 before buying the Hellcat pro. I own a Springfield XDM Elite and it's trash. Croatia keep that shit over there. But not surprised you guys went with the Hellcat pro being it's the new kid on the block.
I shot a Glock sigxl and hellcat pro yesterday and the Glock felt good but snappy in the recoil, the hellcat has a horribly squishy trigger I thought the gun was in safe but it didn’t have a safety and the sig was by far my favorite
Keep saying the big thing with the hellcat is a 15 rd mag without adding length but so does the 43x it’s a aftermarket but if it’s a deal breaker it’s offered. And which one is the most dependable? Nobody mentioned that and I would think that would be a important part!
They were all dependable. All guns ran 500 rds without malfunction. The comparison is stock vs stock. If all I had was the money for the gun and ammo then the hellcat pro looks a lot more enticing than having to spend an extra $80-$100 on two new mags to get the same thing.
My advice to anyone with xl -xxl hands should seriously shoot these guns before purchasing. I wear a xxl glove and prefer true compacts g19-g17 size. All of these have thin grips and short trigger reach. They also have what I find to be smaller trigger guards too. I prefer the hellcat of these choices but for large hands is still not ideal.
Only brand loyal people will choose Glock over the Hellcat Pro. The Hellcat Pro has better sights, a better trigger, more natural grip angle, better ergonomics, textured grip (unlike Glock’s slick grip), higher capacity and the list goes on… reliability? The Hellcat Pro is equally reliable. 12k rounds with no failures or misfeeds with a variety of ammo! Hellcat Pro is a no brainer! It’s not even a comparison!
Love my hellcat mos and hellcat pro. Zero malfunctions, even with junk ammo. Also, I shoot a lot of +p ammo, again, zero issues. Snappy, but accurate. I’m a person who likes recoil, it makes me feel like I’m delivering effective rounds…. If you are recoil sensitive, stay away. It takes a bit of work to shoot these pistols well…. Don’t be a wuss…..get a hellcat…..
Honestly, I don't believe that it is all that necessary. Is it possible for your mag to lock up in the magwell? Well, yes. How often has it happened though, under normal carry conditions? That kind of thinking lead the the early gen 5 glocks to have a big stupid cutout in the front of the grip. It's kinda like how the industry gives you a shelf on your rear sight for the impossible chance that you may have to rack the slide off your belt while pointing the muzzle at your thigh. Is it possible? Yes. Is it likely? No.
@@raylandraybels9462 - it may not be necessary but if ever needed it would help. Same as having a spare tire most will never need them but if needed it damn sure helps.
@AA I don't want to argue too much on this, but the vast majority of cases where a concealed carry weapon was presented had no rounds fired. After that, 1-3 rounds. This is CCW, not law enforcement. While many believe where they have to get in an OK Corral type shootout of reloading magazine after magazine is honestly unrealistic. Flared baseplates or grasping grooves on magazines are just another gimmick the industry sells as a common issue. If a magazine is that stuck in the magwell, I'll just lock the slide back and push down from the port.
I own all 3. Hellcat and 365 squared boxy grip are very uncomfortable for me, plus the measurements of grip front to back is also not comfortable. 43x with shield arms mag is without a doubt unmatched. Glock all the way
I get why, but boy did the Glock get sidelined this round. I like the idea of the shorter barrel for appendix carry and the lighter weight than the Pro. I recognize that the PSA 15 round mags didn't exist yet, and the Shield mags weren't worth mentioning (and maybe still aren't?). All of this said, I've never shot nor held any of these. This is mostly just my internet research brain talking.
With out the Sig P365 XL there may have never been a Hellcat Pro. It was Kel Tec who actually introduced the micro 9 with the Kel Tec 9 in 2006. That was followed by the Ruger LC9 in 2011 and the Smith M&P Shield in 2012. Glock lagged behind not introducing the G43 until 2015. All of these were single stack magazines with 6 to 8 rounds. So don’t give Glock credit for creating the segment. It was Sig that created the new high capacity micro 9 in Jan. 2018. The Glock 43X followed a year later in Jan. 2019. Springfield didn’t introduce the Hellcat until Sep. 2019. By then Sig released the P365XL.
The segment we are speaking of as mentioned in the video is a compact length grip (Glock 19 Length) slim with 10 plus rounds. We are not saying Glock started the Mirco 9 trend. That was originally Kel-Tec with the P11. Sig brought it back and made it work. So without the 43x there would be no 365XL and no Hellcat Pro.
Funny you call us Glock fanboys when we all picked the P365XL and Hellcat Pro over the Glock. Also fact Jan 2019 Glock 43x release date. June 2019 Sig P365XL release date. Just slinging facts and dates.
@@TrueShotAmmo Then Kurt didn’t do a very good job clarifying what he meant. Holding a Glock 43X in his hand, pointing to the 43X and said, “I have to give it to Glock, they, they created this market segment. They were the first to market a gun of this size.” There was no mention of the Glock G19. I would not put the G19 introduced in 1988 as a compact at about 3/4 of the full size G17 into the same segment as the guns you were reviewing. Just to sling a fact and date. Glocks were a “game changer” in their day. But other than resizing their guns for emerging market segments, they have not really offered any innovation since the late 1980s. Glock the company are stuck in the past. I still stand by my observation that Glock did not create this particular micro carry segment.
I've been waiting for someone to say their shield arm mags to have complications. did you figure out why? capacity is what's preventing me from purchasing the 43x MOD over the Hellcat Pro.
@@kerrye83 nope I have not I think that since Glock hasn't really stepped up they are gonna fall behind to many companies are just giving you more for your money and are still reliable
I have owned both the 43X and the Hellcat Pro...as a matter of fact I traded the 43X for the Hellcat Pro....so glad I did.....Better trigger, better capacity, better sights, and is a shooter for sure....43X is what it is and probably just right for some.
Well said. Everyone likes what they like and that's what makes this community great.
Sig 365 XL is the better gun... Period
You had a 43X not the 43X MOS.
@@jackdevero3398 sounds like someone only owns one of these guns and has his feelings tied to it.
@@jackdevero3398 you a super rookie? No one in their right mind would say one of these pistols is definitively better than any other one of them. It’s mostly subjective as all of these pistols perform well.
thank you for all the input and comparisons
I love my 43x mos. The S15 mags work in my gun, and the trigger broken in nicely.
They did, you just didn't get to that part.
Excited for this fellas! As always it was fun hanging out with you!
It's always a pleasure see your smiling face!
Thanks for watching. Glad we can help.
I have the 365XL and the regular Hellcat, I find the hellcat being a bit more snapier. Would you say the G43X is a snappy as the hellcat?
@@Mike-4547the original or the pro?
I love the Wilson combat grip put it on mine also. Well worth it!👍
I didn’t like the thickness of the hellcat and it was bouncing around in my hands when rapid firing. So i fixed the grip with hockey tape. Now i shoot it better than all my other guns 👌 it’s my edc
Got my Hellcat pro. Just waiting for the word to go pick it up. Can’t wait!
Awesome! Thanks for watching
Haven't tried the talon grip on the 43x yet
I agree Glock needs to come out with a 2.0 43x. I am not sure if we will see it anytime soon.
If glock came out with a "19s" (19 slim) it'd be a hit for sure.
totally agree. I would be all over the glock if they came out with that.
@@patbrown463 the 48 fits that size but its got the same draw backs as the 43x
Awesome video!! Answered literally all the questions I had about the differences between these 3 guns! 🙌
Glad we could help! Thanks for watching
Thanks for watching
Exact video I was looking for, great job! If I had any critiques I'd say weapons gen isn't a great argument. Most classic cars are still fantastic but I wouldn't say "well I would of won the race if your car was 30 years older. "
Can't wait to see CZ and Walter's response this new genre,
22:30 this is often overlooked when getting a carry gun.
@@Mike-4547 honestly I don’t think you can go wrong with either, it’s a matter of preference between the sig and hellcat pro .
Just picked up the pro this morning and I'm in love
Heck yeah!
Thanks for watching and you insight! It was a really hard choice between the XL and Hellcat
I own a lot of guns but the Hellcat pro osp is one of my favorites
My $0.02.
Never had a gun fit my hand as well as the Hellcat Pro (any size or any caliber) . It feels like it was designed especially for me.
I do also like the 43x mos but if we’re talking about ready to go straight out of the box then I would go with the Hellcat pro unless there is an Pro version of the 43x then that would really grab my attention fingers crossed that Glock hears us out on that 🤞🏽
Glock might but since they like sticking to the polymer mag with a metal sleeve I don't think it will be anytime soon.
Glock has so many aftermarket parts it’s ridiculous. That’s what makes it so good. Absolutely love my 43x mos never had any issues with it.
The MC2c is on our list to check out.
I carry the Shield Plus which I got because the regular Hellcat didn't shoot well for me. The Shield is everything to me.
If you live in a banned state and don't want an optic I'm not using any of these guns. I would use a colt defender in 9mm with 9rd mags.
The pro is sold with an optic by the local retailer by me it is only $75 more than the xl sig without optic
I rented all 3. Bought the HCP. 43xmos had more recoil. The P365xl I couldn't drop the mag without breaking grip.
Wilson Combat makes a great grip frame for the XL only $65.
Yes, they do!
Thank you for watching. We did not mention it in this review but check out our full review of the Hellcat pro.
I’m a true sig fan boy, but I bought my wife the hellcat pro. I loved it so much, it’s my edc
Thanks for watching
I look forward to hanging out and shooting with y'all one day soon🤘
Anytime brother come out to AZ
@@TrueShotAmmo thanks for the reply. I like your format in these comparisons! Appreciate it!
@@chipmacgill thanks for watching. We will have more to come.
I think this is a valid question: “Are 12 Rounds enough and how does the P365XL feel with the 12 round mag?” I own the 365 XL and it fits my hand well and is hoot it incredibly well. I’d have bigger
Problems if 12 rds wasn’t enough.
Well done, Gents!
Thank you!
When you stick the mag in the 43x and the Hellcat Pro are basically the same size. Sure the barrel on the 43x is a little shorter, but they carry THE SAME.
What brand of red dot do you have on the hellcat pro? Thank you for the video.
Hex it’s springfields brand of optics
Holding the Hellcat pro in the store, it felt big and blocky, it’s more like a compact, not sub-compact. The G43x felt and pointed great to me.
my question is whats in store for hellcat down the road will they do comp like the small hellcat or do something like sig did with the 365 xl. i know shadow system is coming out with glock like 43 wonder what that be like
They haven't said anything yet. But a hellcat comp slide on a pro frame would be cool
Once you put grip wraps, flat trigger, and the Shield Arms 15 rnd mags, the Glock 43x is awesome. Don't care about a dot on a conceal carry pistol.
Doesn't sound like a bad combo at all.
Shouldn't the hellcat pro be more compared to the Glock 48?
I would say you could. We had one lined up for this video but couldn't get to the range with it in time.
So if you live in a non-free state where mags are allowed only 10 rounds then which one would be your pick?
None. Colt defender in 9.mm would then be my pick
Every other manufacturer: grip texture and ergonomics
Glock: nothing new
I've owned the 43x for a long time and shot it "ok".
It smoothed out a bit. It seems heavy while dry firing but while live firing I didn't notice it.
Sig with the flush fit 14 round Magguts for the win. Haven’t shot the Hellcat Pro yet though.
Haven't tried the magguts. Are they reliable?
You can buy the Hellcat Pro with the Wasp red dot which mounts with no plates.
Get the 43x mos with the shield arms 15rnd mag and the apex trigger. Now my favorite micro EDC.
🇺🇸🔝🇺🇸
SPRINGFIELD🥇 HELLCAT.
🇺🇸🔝🇺🇸
You actually can get the 365xl from factory with an optic. It’s the Romeo zero, which you may or may not like. I have one and like it very much. Also, I think the 365xl specter would be more of an appropriate competitor to the hellcat pro.
43x has more holster options available. Since I need to pocket carry this is my most important consideration.
Very true. When deciding you need to look at all the things that affect the way you carry not just the gun.
Heck yeah
It was a close one between it and the P365XL
I owned Hellcat pro but believe all 3 are excellent
Plus that’s a 43x MOS right?? Has an optic plate and rail
Correct that is the 43X MOS.
I think if concealability is key then 43x wins, but you have to weight out what factors fit YOUR situation best.
Can you make a video of all the upgrades you made to you p365xl
Go to @mrbigkid to see all the upgrades.
I Sold my Sig xl, Glock 43x I now own the Hellcat Pro.
For me, I going for the one that's Going to stop the bad guy. 😮
All 3 are good IMO
Got my looking closely at the slide catches now.
XL hard to beat 🙌🏻
It was a hard choice for sure.
@@TrueShotAmmo guess it depends really on who’s packing it and what they like because all three options are good
I think we have established that all gun comparison videos are just a bunch of specs followed by "It comes down to personal preference."
43x mos goes up against the regular p365 and regular hellcat, you guys should've reviewed the 48 mos against the other 2
Unfortunately, we weren't able to get a 48mos in time for review.
Why is the shield plus or performance center shield plus left out of this convo?
It will be in a later video. These were more comparable
The pro would be a great replacement for guys who carry a G19 now .
That's what we were thinking as well!
I don't think so .it's probably good to have both .
The ability to take the 19 and throw a 17 mag, 30 round stick or 50 round drum on it is big plus.
The guy on the left has no clue. The Sig P365 started this size and space and everyone followed.
The one improvement Hellcat Pro needs is for the magazines to have some groves on their sides to assist in ripping them out if needed.
I didn't even notice or think of that
Honestly, I don't believe that it is all that necessary.
The Sig and Springfield are pretty close ,Glock because of capacity is 3rd
XL you can get with the romeo zero. To be fair you should be comparing the 48.
We couldn't get a 48 in time unfortunately.
I own all 3. Hellcat and 365 squared boxy grip are very uncomfortable for me, plus the measurements of grip front to back is also not comfortable. 43x with shield arms mag is without a doubt unmatched. Glock all the way
By specs the 365 is actually 1 tenth of an inch larger than the hellcat by spec width
I think you could have thrown in the Shield plus with the 4”barrel in the mix with these theee.
id be happy owning any of these guns. its all the same.
@@TrueShotAmmo Sorry. I didn't mean to step on your Glocks.
@@TrueShotAmmo 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
I am replacing my g48 mos with the Hellcat Pro for my carry because I like it better and my shield arms mags have given me issues.
Shield magazines work pretty good at first but after a while it's a no-go I'll never do it again
