Just FYI, I know it sounds good on video to have a screaming drag on the real, but you lose a lot of fish because you don’t have proper hook set with a loose drag just a helpful tip
Lately I have spent way too much money on Gulp. The tail biters are tearing up tails fast, on the first cast a lot of times. I fish around Hampton VA and there are a lot of little fish around that ruin a lot of baits. Z Man or Salt Strong soft plastics are tougher but I don't get as many bites with them even with ProCure or Dr Juice scents. Hopefully I'll catch a couple more keeper flounders before they go away for the winter.
Pinfish are the culprit here on the Texas Gulf Coast. If I sense what feels like a machine gun on my line, I quickly jerk it away. That usually a pinfish. Flounder is more like a dull thump. My favorite fish to catch and eat. I don’t use a count down method for setting the hook, I use a swift sweeping motion to the side with the rod.
Take a gulp mullet or gulp whatever that's all torn and fucked up and cut out a thin strip to use as scent instead of using Pro Cure or Dr. Jerkoff, I mean Dr. Juice for scent. I put it on the hook of a jighead with a Zman but should also work on a Shit Strong, I mean Salt Strong soft plastic. They sell gulp juice in a spray bottle and I spray it to charge it with smell. I also have good luck with Kalins grubs that have Pro Cure Garlic Nightcrawler for Flounder. Those niggas love that stinky shit and more economical. Gulp is getting more expensive, even though it probably costs those mufckas at Berkley about 25 cents to manufacture 10 Gulp Mullets.
Thanks for the video. Epic day for sure. I missed the “hack” - it seems towards the end you caught one and mentioned “bloodworm” - did not see you putting one on though. Or did you use procure scent gel?

You aren't kidding I lost all my gulp to small fish yesterday. I'll have to try some other ones as well. Thanks for watching and commenting.
