3rd Winter Storm, Cataloochee, North Carolina

#snowboarding Noah and I were really excited about our yearly snowboarding trip to Cataloochee Ski Area. It's our third time coming here for snowboarding. Cataloochee is in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina and has been around since the early 1960s.
We've been regulars at this ski spot for quite a few years, and lately, we've been focusing on snowboarding. Cataloochee, nestled in the Great Smoky Mountains, has been a tradition for us. The ski area started back in 1961 when some visionary folks saw the potential for a ski resort in the Southeast. Over the years, they've added more trails, modern amenities, and snowmaking capabilities to make sure it's a great winter experience.
For the 3rd year in a row we got lucky as a winter storm was expected to cover the region in fresh snow Monday. As the day went on, the winter storm picked up, turning Cataloochee into a snowy paradise. We enjoyed riding through the fresh powder, with snowflakes dancing around us as we made our way down the slopes. Excited for more snowy adventures in the future, we looked forward to returning.
