Hiking in Mauritius - Going up to Black River Peak from Black River Visitors Centre.

We hiked up to Little Black River Peak from Black River Visitors Centre. The hike is pretty steep from this direction with mulitple sections where ropes and chains available. In total it took 3.5 hours to get up to the Peak instead of the anticipated 2 hours. This was due to the heavy terrain. This is not a very well maintained offical Black River Gorge trail however it is marked properly and relatively easy to follow.
