This tune played at my beloved late dad's funeral at his service of thanksgiving. A beautiful piece of music in my opinion from the wonderful James Galway.
always reminds me of elaine. back in 1978 i would see her in the school wearing her long blue coat, that she had for all the 5 years she was in high school. am still in love with her. never forgave myself.
My 9 year old daughter just won the local urdd (welsh music compeition) playing this very tune and it brought a tear to our eyes. We are so proud of you Leah
My Mum reminded me of this beautiful music but we couldnt remember his name after so many years. Found out on Google, then listened to Dannyboy, and Annies song. Such warm memories came back. Sir james was an excellent player. Shared with Mum. Wonderful.
This was the last thing I ever danced to. Retired from the stage on December 19, 1991 and I was 19 years old. My knees were giving out, but I continued to figure skate until 2006. I wore a beautiful black costume, my hair in a bun, but no shoes on my feet. It was a modern piece and I felt liberated -- no tap shoes, jazz shoes or pointe shoes. #formerdancer #goodmemories #alsomynickname
THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU WILL EVER DO...IS DANCE TO THE TUNE OF 'THE REDEEMED'...THE ONE WHO GAVE HIS LIFE FOR YOU ON THE CROSS WANTS YOU TO DANCE YOUR WAY INTO HIS KINGDOM...;)
I already loved this song, but I love it even more now! It sounds beautiful on flute, especially with Sir James Galway playing it! I wish I could be as good as him hehe
I too got married with this as my walking in music - this is the one song that me and my dad, Wesley White can play together and so it is very, very special to our family - I wrote in to Jim'll Fix it to meet James Galway and got knocked back, however, it is still the most spiritual tune ever to me and always makes me think back to my and my Dad, mid seventies doing our thing!!!!!!!!x x
Annie's Song (You Fill Up My Senses) - was written as an ode to Denver's wife at the time, Annie Martell Denver. John Denver "wrote this song in July 1973 in about ten-and-a-half minutes one day on a ski lift"
This song reminds me of my mother. She would play all of his songs at our home on the loudest volume, but this song stood out to me the most as a child listening to all of his tunes. Mom said his flute reminded her of her hometown in Otaru, Japan...
At the first time, I really dont care about this song, some one really want me to heard this song, he alwas said "please open the you tube and listening that song"..and when he passed away I tried to find and listening this song..and now, I know how deep his feel for me, and me too. Nice song, I will never forget..
Because this piece is called "Annie's Song" I like to think that it was written Just for me. (Even though I know that John Denver had someone else in mind when he wrote it.) But regardless of whether it was written for me or not; James Galway does play it very Beautifully.
I´m not a hard die fan of Galway, but he is indeed a fantastic player, and for sure one of the best flutist in the world. Sometimes I think all this people critizing him are just repeating what some of their teachers told them, z.b. that his Bach´s sonatas interpretation are out of style and that sort of comments. But if you listen it when your ears and mind open IS PURE BEAUTY. Or listen the 'pastorale' concerto by J. Rodrigo, or his Khachaturian´s, or his Mendelsohnn, etc. These are GREAT
Brilliant comment! I couldn't agree more. I love to see good covers and comments saying 'it's rubbish nothing like the original' really annoy me. It's all in the delivery and to give a song a piece of yourself is great thing.
A master doing his thing. I love this song. Thank you James Galway and John Denver.
Memories of my aunts wedding in 1978. Being a 12 year old again. Being with my grandparents and cousins. A life assuring song.
This music coming from heaven.....thanks James Galway.....thanks John Denver...
ジョン・デンバーの曲大好きです。ジェームズ・ゴールウェイの演奏は深いものがありますね。

One of the great pieces ever played and James Galway bring it a live
Beautiful! Only the angels in Heaven could possibly be better.

my dad when he was alive had this single I hear it when I was little loved it now I own it.
This song reminds me of my mother. She would play all of his songs at our home on the loudest volume, but this song stood out to me the most as a child listening to all of his tunes. Mom said his flute reminded her of her hometown in Otaru, Japan...
I love his songs of the seashore as well. Beautiful album.

He learned his trade in the York Street Flute Band..Never Forgot his roots..NO SURRENDER
James Galway one of the people
Beautiful version of the song amazing 😍😍
So beautifull the greatest player!!
My dad would yell from inside the house to get and I didn’t know who he was and I had been playing for a few years
I was asked to sing this in the church at a friend's wedding many years ago in Bathurst, NSW. This is a lovely track.
Beautiful . .. Well posted Darius , have not seen this version before . I was lucky enough to see John Denver twice in 1982 .
absolutely beautiful! Can't get much better than Galway!
Sir James.....I have no words to describe this...This is Adil from Karachi, Pakistan
So beautiful..I wish I could play that.

Excellent.
I'm learning this at the moment and I've never cried while playing flute before now

The most beautiful love song, played by the most amazing flautist ever.
Het blijft werkelijk schitterend om te horen
Jamer dat je in Nederland zo weinig van hem hoort.
This is really the song on which Galway built his career :D
I think he's the best flutist ever anyway.

You might have to fight me for that spot hahahah.
If you have this God given talent flaunt it! Don't you agree MR?
JUST BEAUTIFUL!!!!!
Brilliant comment! I couldn't agree more. I love to see good covers and comments saying 'it's rubbish nothing like the original' really annoy me. It's all in the delivery and to give a song a piece of yourself is great thing.
