I was perusing the make up isles in Walgreens and the beauty consultant cornered me and spent about 20 minutes explaining the benefits of No7. I ended up purchasing the pure retinol eye cream and have been using it for the last three weeks. I am very pleasantly surprised at the reduction in puffiness and my dark circles.
The Elemis Absolute Eye Serum is really nice, very lightweight although it is a bit spendy. I embarked on a lash serum voyage last December and tbh I didn’t hold out much hope as I was 65 then and assumed that it may well be a lost cause. To my astonishment, within about 6-8 weeks I could see a difference and I’m now the proud owner of long, curved eyelashes which I’ve never, ever had, so keep the faith and hang on in there 👍
This is what I love about you and your channel Risa..your honesty and consistency! I have found so many of my "go to" products because of you! Thank you! Your skin is looking gorgeous!❤
I use a lot of higher end products, but I enjoy Neutrogena rapid eye repair. It has retinol in it and has helped with fine lines and that bumpy texture. My mom noticed and asked what I was using. She was blown away that I didn't have any dark circles. Anyway, I recommend it.
Elemis is simply the best! Over the past several months I’ve purchased several of there products and truly notice a difference. While there products are pricey, it’s money well spent in my opinion! 🤗
Risk, You are the only Beauty Advisor I listen to!!! Not only do you give us the best advice but you are so caring and kind...also, you actually take the time to answer so many of the personal questions people ask in their comments...you truly are beautiful inside and on the outside...may God bless you abundantly for the help you give to us women...I started this comment with your name, Risa but my spellcheck changed it to risk and I don't know how to fix it
Hi Risa. Love your integrity and honesty. I would love you do a hair treatment video. Especially thinning hair products being used. I'm 59 and my hair has drastically thinned out in that 4 years. I fear washing my hair because I lose so much hair. Most likely its probably the medication I'm taking for my throidectomy I had for cancer.
Hi Isabel, try Biotin supplements, they also help your nails and skin...they accelerate and strengthen new growth and you can see the results...I wish you the best...
I agree with you on Retin-A. I have used it for a year and saw absolutely no difference. My skin didn't even stabilize but continued to get worse at an almost exaggerated rate.
If your ever in the market for new items, I’ve recently started using a lot of good molecules products and I also love watching skincarebyhyrm videos for ideas. I always love trying new skincare 😍
Thank you for this video Risa! I would love to see a hair focused video!🥰 I use Olaplex and Nature Lab Tokyo for the most part, the Fable & Mane prewash oil, and a deluge of styling products but would really love different suggestions. Especially for shampoo and conditioner. Love you girl 🤗🥰😘
Love this! Thanks for being real and giving us exactly what you use and how you use it. I’ve been using Elemis face washes for years, currently using the pro collagen resurfacing one. It’s may be expensive but it lasts ages and truly works well, I’ve had my eye on the balms but don’t wear makeup enough to warrant buying them in conjunction with my face wash. I wish they did tiny sizes of things so I could use the best and not waste it or the money it costs.. I have for years used Timebomb moisturisers for face and neck and have now added in the Estée Lauder mighnight serum. Have run out of night cream and will be trying Sarah chapmans one. .. anything to keep us looking younger! I have good genes but you still have to keep on top of it! ..thanks Risa! I look forward to your videos every week, wish there were more L
I have been using this for 5 weeks I love it. My sisters want to know what I was using so two of them went out right away and got it and the other two will later
Thank you for this. 44 here and I love a skin care routine. I am a nightly face washer. Love hearing about new products, can we have a list of affordable items too?
Risa I would also suggest looking into copper peptides and epidermal growth factors Perhaps microneedling and peels I've learned a ton of skincare from Mira Aguirre and Penn Smith. They are focused on proven science skincare and most of the brands are like Neova priori many that are dermatologist and scientific produced. Highly effective for anti age
OMG, I swear by the Grande lash serum! You won’t really see results until after 4 weeks of use so keep using it! I have strangers comment on my lashes now.
Hi, Risa! In one of your latest videos, you recommended pacifica eye cream. I purchased a jar shortly thereafter and i can see a major difference in my undereye skin in less than a week of using it! ..and id tried more than a few before that with little to no success. So, thank you very much for the suggestion.. I LOVE IT!

Loved seeing your routine. A while back you showed some Bliss glycolic acid pads. I have been using those and have seen really great results. My husband even commented how good my skin was looking. I have been using retinol for about a year but have to admit I get a better bang for my buck with the glycolic acid.
Funny..I ONLY want my balms with spa like smells! I love their pro collagen cleansing balm, it's amazing. I wouldn't be interested in anything with no scent, although I know some people have an issue with it. This was a great video.
Russ, I am tempted to try the Elemis cleansing balm because you said it is unscented now. I tried the Clinique cleansing balm that everyone loves and had a horrible reaction. Since then it has scared me off cleansing balms. But I know the two step cleansing routine is important for the skin. So I am thinking of making use of the discount you so kindly got for us. Thanks for the recommendations, your honesty and forthrightness.
Hi Risa I really enjoyed your video on your Over 40 Anti-Aging Nighttime Skincare Routine. Would you please consider doing a video on your haircare and hair color routine? Thank you
Hair care yes, that I can do. As for color, I get my hair professionally colored and other than knowing I get highlights and grey coverage I don’t really know exactly what my stylist uses. You can ask her on Instagram though, her username is Jessicatidwellbeauty. 😃
In reading your reason for not using Retin A , I can understand. I just started using this year…probably now 7 months and I can’t figure all the hype about it . I see no difference at all. Have always loved ELEMIS, but the cost is a bit high. However my skin is important and would rather use what is good and works. Will try again and will put that l’Oreal in the mix. Thank you Risa ….love all your videos and the makeup or skin care advise you give.
I love the original Elemis cleansing balm but it can sting a bit around the eye. I didn't know about the naked one so thank you for the recommendation. I was straight onto the Elemis website to order but unfortunately your code is not accepted in the UK, which I find poor because I believe its a British brand. Not to worry, I'm sure it will pop up on QVC pretty soon and they usually have fantastic prices. I would also recommend the Pro collagen Renewal serum. I tried to get the L'Oreal midnight serum a couple if days ago but wasn't available. The assistant told me it's "just an oil". Is that right? I see a serum as something very different from an oil. Edit:. I just wanted to make it clear that I do not hold Risa responsible for not being able to get the discount on the UK site, I'm just disappointed.
Thanks Risa. I am glad you kept it simple because I admit I can bed a little lazy with skin care sometimes though I have gotten better with the years.🌞
I’m confused!! Do u still use Maelove skin care!? Is it still good!? Cause I was planning to try it. But I’m convince to try the cleanser from Elemis and Maelove other products.
I love elemis moisturizer but it's a bit pricey but I love using neutrogena hydro boost for my body as sooner as I get out of the shower. I'm now trying jergens cloud creme. My skin is so soft and suple
Hi Risa! I have been recently trying under eye creams & face serums that have more aggressive ingredients. After a few months made my 51yr/o delicate under eye skin very very angry! (swollen, red & flaky😵😱) Yes, the swelling in the area got rid of my crows feet & fine under eye lines ! Uncomfortable Burning skin isn’t what I was after! So I went back to La Mer, ugh I hate the price but so healing ! Gonna give TNS under eye treatment a shot now since you are having success with it👍. Thanks for the recommendations! Hello from South Jersey
Im 55 years old and Ive had similar problems with trying out various eye creams and gels, retinoid and the likes, and didnt enjoy having the "problems" worsen instead of seeing the improvements those products promised to deliver. :/ Luckily for me I decided to follow Risa s advice and purchased the pacifica eye cream which she recommended in one of her latest videos. ive been using it for less than a week and have already noticed a massive difference in the texture of my undereye area (took all the anger out of it, too :D). Works well under make up as well
Yes, I would be interested in a hair video. Does the hair serum make your hair oily…do you have to wash your hair the next day? How do you like the Bondi Boost…I was thinking of trying it. I have the Vegamour dry shampoo, and the scent is quite strong!
I love watching your channel and would love to see a hair video abd possibly more vegamore products as another influencer raves about this product. Also I have really crepey eyelids and wonder if you have any recommendations for that issue. Thank you!
Risa...I have tried the grande lash but didn't see much of a difference. I then tried babe lash months after I finished the grande lash and OMG! My lashes are so long and I have alot more volume. My lashes are so long that I can't curl them when I put mascara on. If I do, my lashes hit my brow arch.
Hi Risa, love your vidéos, I have a question, I do use also the midnight serum, and love it. Just wondering if you do use other serums, ex: Vit C or Retinols with the serum ? Thanks
Im.a struggling single mom with a special needs daughter. Taking care of me is a struggle. Financially I am very strapped. Are there any affordable drug store products to help with under eye and fine lines? I'm new to trying to take care of my face (hopefully I'm not too late)
Risa what has helped me tremendously with fine lines and wrinkles around my eye area. Is Niod Fractionated Eye Serum. I leave it on for a few min and then I follow it up with Khiels Avacado eye cream. And I can honestly say it has helped more than I ever thought it would. Promise you✋🙏
I got a deluxe sample of that Vegamour shampoo and conditioner, and I do love the smell, it smells like my fav The Body Shop cream Satsuma. However, my hair felt so crispy and dry and tangled. It was not for me. I will look into the eye cream you use because I love trying new eye creams, especially ones that get rid of dark circles. I have sinus problems and will sometimes get dark circles and the older I get it seems like they are getting darker. I haven't come across that many that has shown results.
The lash serum ,i start tomoŕrow everyday try .But the elementen balm whit no sent ,is a no brainer for me.Thank you, this give me a reisonderdelen to go treu whit the lashserum. So not consequent.💓
Hi Risa, please let us know how the LeGrand eyelash growth works for you. I have used Revitalash on my lashes for more than a decade, but lately it is not helping my almost invisible lashes. I am looking for something that works. Love your videos. Thanks. Lorraine
Oh no! So sorry to hear that! The Naked balm doesn’t burn my eyes; but neither did the original. If I were you I would send an email to Elemis customer service, and ask them what the bothersome ingredient could be, and if it’s included in both balms.
I'm curious and I hope you do not consider it an insult since your skin looks gorgeous, but why do you not use Tretinoin? It's a miracle worker. I'm 77 and most people think I'm in my late 50s. Just a suggestion.
Hi Risa! I love the L'oreal Midnight Serum - and I bought it based on your recommendation from a previous video. Love! I just would like to ask you about the lash serum, I have been hearing negative feedback about eye serums - I believe the concern is chemicals being applied to the eye area? Not at all sure if this is true or not, what are your thoughts about that? Thanks for this video, as always found it to be very helpful :)
I honestly don’t want to give an opinion on that because I don’t have any expertise in the area. I’m going to the eye doctor in a few weeks and will certainly ask.
Penn Smith a master esthetcian recommended Avene physiolift it has retinaldyhyde which as you know if 1 step below retin A only use it at night Day I am using Michelle Wangs recommendation Kora organics vit c cream.
Hey Risa! You talk about having oily, dehydrated skin. Do you get breakouts? I’m 63 with the same kind of skin and cannot believe I still have occasional breakouts! How do you treat them. It so happens I have the exact same skin care regimen as you just described and LOVE it. My skin looks amazing! I’ve been using Elemis for about a year including those great resurfacing pads. Good call‼️ Just sad it took me so long to discover Elemis!
I have searched all your videos and cannot find one that compared charlottes Tillbury lipstick to a Milani lipstick. If you read this would you be so kind as to tell me the name of both. Thanking you in advance, Sandi
48? Fake news. 😝 You look considerably younger. Thanks for the tips! How do you feel about natural products? They usually don't do much for me, but pure African shea butter on my face and sunblock have changed my Iife. Haha.
Usually I just ignore these types of comments, but since you’re new I’ll take the time to respond. I, like 99% of content creators, only accept sponsorships from brands we truly use and love. When it comes to skincare, if it’s a product I haven’t tried yet, I require the brand gives me a full month to test it out before I agree to work with them, or I turn it down. TH-cam is my JOB. Do you work at your job for free? As a viewer do you appreciate the (hopefully) helpful content that often takes hours and hours to film, edit, upload and create links for, that you’re able to watch at no cost to you? If so, you should be cheering on creators who are able to continue to make that content by occasionally partnering with brands they truly believe in instead of criticizing and assuming someone isn’t trustworthy because they make money from their work. 🤦♀️
@@RisaDoesMakeup thank you for taking the time to reply. I didn’t mean to sound disrespectful or anything, but there are so many content creators who will put dollars over credibility. I did start watching other videos and I apologize for this comment. You’re definitely someone I’d trust with my skin. Thank you for caring enough to address me.🇧🇷🇵🇹🩰🙏🏻
That’s fine, but as you can see by several of the comments, I have viewers that also use and love Elemis. On my channel I talk about products for people with a wide variety of incomes and household budgets. High end and luxury brands wouldn’t exist if a lot of people didn’t buy them. If you’re interested, I do have several videos on my channel that feature lower priced skincare options.

The neutrogena rapid wrinkle repair eye cream will blast both those eye creams out of the water - fine lines significantly diminished

Is your morning routine products different from your night routine, considering taking makeup off is usually an end of day process.
Yep, it’s different. I don’t even wash my face in the morning, I just splash it with water in the shower.
Hi Risa, please let us know how the LeGrand eyelash growth works for you. I have used Revitalash on my lashes for more than a decade, but lately it is not helping my almost invisible lashes. I am looking for something that works. Love your videos. Thanks. Lorraine
The original Elemis balm burned my eyes, does the naked burn? I love the Neutrogena melting balm as well! I love your channel!
Oh no! So sorry to hear that! The Naked balm doesn’t burn my eyes; but neither did the original. If I were you I would send an email to Elemis customer service, and ask them what the bothersome ingredient could be, and if it’s included in both balms.
Hey Risa :-)) Great routine :-)) I'm using the Loreal serum lol :-)) oxoxo
@@RisaDoesMakeup Thank you - much appreciated :)
I've used the Grande Lash and it made my eyes very sensitive to light and caus e d them to be very dry. I am no longer using it.
thanks for vid pretty lady. be safe
Penn Smith a master esthetcian recommended Avene physiolift it has retinaldyhyde which as you know if 1 step below retin A only use it at night
Day I am using Michelle Wangs recommendation Kora organics vit c cream.
sorry, I was just reaching the end of your video and see that you have a comment in that subject in the description box !
Good call‼️
Just sad it took me so long to discover Elemis!
Hi! Thankfully no, I very rarely get a breakout. If I do I usually just apply a good amount of the Mario Badescu drying paste my teenage son uses!
Please keep us updated on the vegamour serum!
Be careful with the Grande Lash. over time, it did help but caused me eyes to be dru and made them very sensitive to light. I no longer use it.
Yikes! me should be "my" and dru should be "dry".
Loved this video. Tried to use ur discount at elemis but it did not work xxx
Are you in the US? I just tried it and it worked fine. It might be case sensitive so make sure you use a capital R and capital G. RisaGlow
@@RisaDoesMakeup will try again. am in the UK xxx
Hi Risa love the midnight serum
I got it to try when you said it was a good product & I love it
Enjoyed the video 🌺🌸🌹🌷🍂
Yay!!! This makes me so happy to hear!
I have searched all your videos and cannot find one that compared charlottes Tillbury lipstick to a Milani lipstick. If you read this would you be so kind as to tell me the name of both. Thanking you in advance, Sandi
Hi Sandi, that video was a “short” so that will appear in the “shorts” playlist. The Milani lip color is called “Secret”.
Risa Does Makeup Thank you so much!
I wish I could afford the whole line of Elemis to use daily but man I’m not rich!! I can afford one or two products only😞
❤️Ana
❤️❤️❤️
48? Fake news. 😝 You look considerably younger. Thanks for the tips! How do you feel about natural products? They usually don't do much for me, but pure African shea butter on my face and sunblock have changed my Iife. Haha.
I’m with you, natural products never do much for me. 😕
If your hair is shedding, you should see your doc get your thyroid checked.
I have. Everything is fine there, thankfully. 😃
The collagen cleanser is better. Your face doesn’t need broccoli your gut does 😂 but that’s just me I’m not a fan of the super food line
I just discovered your channel and love seeing skincare routine. You lost me at partnership.
Thank you for caring enough to address me.🇧🇷🇵🇹🩰🙏🏻
I would NEVER pay that much for a cleanser.
