1:40 One of the things truly unique to the Babylon 5 is the way energy weapons are used to intercept another energy weapon (not just missiles, which is a pretty obvious use). I can never get enough of seeing an interceptor blasting incoming shot like that. I wish it's use more often, especially within B5 itself.

It may not have been the same one. New ships often get the names of previous ships lost in combat. See USS Wasp, Yorktown, Lexington, and Enterprise as examples.

HBO Max has the remastered version of the show - but it is mostly the acting scenes that were improved. The battles scenes aren't bad though. They do seem to have gotten some attention when upscaled. I have heard that the animation files still are in the possession of the guys who built the show. But the first two seasons would be in Amiga Lightwave format. It is. A lot of Species actually use energy shielding in B5. However not like we expect as in Star Trek. The Centauri use it, the Minbari (White Star), the Vorlons and the Third Space Aliens. Also EarthForse: but it’s more like an EM jamming acting like dispersive armor. The completed the tech on the Warlocks and the Victory Classes
@@matsch6777 No Species outside the Harbingers had energy shielding tech, closest any species could get was Dispersion the energy impact points over a wider area to reduce damage like the Victory class
@@TwiceStruck not quite correct. JMS already stated that the gravity engines used by the Minbari and the Centauri create also shielding effects. well in a universe without real shields, its a sensible tactic
its a real life naval tactic, a pin point defense system just like an aegys

Yes i miss her too every episode i see her. She really was a brigth light in both universes.

Absolutely hilarious

Amazing that the first Hyperion first of her kind survived the Dilgar war, Earth-Minbari war and is still in service.
They are probably expensive to construct.

Nice work as always.
Thanks.
Great job ... redoing the video !!
Hope they can complete the entire series ....
Thanks. I will also transfer them to 4k in time.

You can tell it's Babylon 5 in about half a second. Just look for the blue nebula. This show needs a reboot. I miss it.
Yeah I love the great backgrounds.

No it was just the effects. And perhaps their schips were better build since they were a lot more advanced.

Why not? It does just fine.
That cruiser isn't a big ship it's smaller than the average warship .. it needs jump gates
I had that idea too haha.
The Hyperion class heavy cruiser had jump engines. They just didn't use them in this episode.
