Been going through the comments and gusto ko lang sabihin salamat sa inyong lahat sa patuloy na pagtangkilik sa isang awit na higit tatlong dekada na mula nang lumabas. And to those people who have been commenting na malamig ba sa bus or something like that ang sagot ay oo. Maginaw sa bus kasi kailangan ng equipment yun pero hindi yun ang rason kung bakit balot na balot ako. Ang totoo nyan ay sinubukan kong mag beg off from this performance kasi may sakit ako nyan. I was running a fever and meron akong sipon at ubo pero being the producer of the show I was promoting, I had to soldier on and do the performance despite not feeling well. Anyway, sa aking nawawalang anak na singer ng I Belong To The Zoo, sino ba ang nanay mo at taga saan sya? Baka nga nasalisihan ko ang tinuturing mong tatay mo. 😜

Ugh, Wency Cornejo's lyricism is incredible. The way he pens songs with such an ingenious flourish, such reverence for language/words which enabled NEXT IN LINE to retain its TIMELESS freshness and allowed the message of the song to transcend time. NEXT IN LINE resonated so strongly 28 years ago but it is still as pertinent as today. And yes, Wency is STILL that vocalist who was not afraid to use his VOICE to the fullest even at his current age. Thanks Wish Bus for having him.

Napanood ko nga noon sa isang interview niya na akala daw ng mga DJs noon na foreigner ang gumawa. Yun pala afterimage. Just proves that he's not only a brilliant songwriter but the songs he make are world-class.

I love Afterimage so much that I went to their concert alone cos they were just starting to get recognized then but that didn't deter me from enjoying their performance despite me going solo and despite me being so young, I was 16 yata nun. I first heard this song when i was in highschool.. isip bata pa ako, while listening to this, i just love the words and music.. pero ngayon ilang dekada na ang dumaan at akoy my asawa at anak na, napaluha na lng ako, tama we are the next in line, kung ano man kalungkot noon, darating ang panahon na sobrang magiging kontento at sobrang saya na.. salamat sa musika, sir Wency.. salamat at naging parte ang awitin na ito noong akoy wala pang alam kundi ang mangarap.

Walang permanente sa mundo, lahat ng pinagdadaanan natin ay lilipas din.

I still keep the cassette tape of your self titled album, Wency Cornejo and yes it's still playing 'til now. Sayang I was only able to buy 2 of your albums at that time but it was worth the investment. The other tape I first bought was Tag-ulan, Tag-araw! I hope to hear more of your songs online.

I like the vocal embelishments in this version. It's more mature and the character seems to appear have more experience and exposure in the real world compared to the original version which sounded young, full of spirit, curious, and full of enthusiasm.
