  • A while since i uploaded a lighting video. Similar to my popular headhunters or Borgore video. Had no camera on the console this time sadly.
    Console used was a GrandMA2 Light. Laser, LED and pyro was controlled by other operators.
    This was not rehersed at all. We were all house-rig guys. No touring tech with set knowledge. We just improvised on what we could hear and feel in the moment.

    A little explanation about the movement. We had two very similar hardstyle DJs after eachother. To try to separate their shows and the look of it i made the choice to have a more chunky movement on Audiotricz and a more spread out look for the other DJ.
    Otherwise It's easy to have a bit to similar show and no consistency thruout the set.
    Oneoffs gigs doesnt matter But This was a festival gig and We had other artists like Joucy M and Fat Rat etc! Had to make up a Look for each set and go with it!

    Awesome operating. I really like how perfect you are on time and the right use of the video wall.
    Maybe next time you could program some more movements ;)

    Awesome job man! Pyro guys could have been a little more creative, looks like all of the flame projectors where on the same channel. Some flame-chases would have looked very nice with that amount of projectors. :)

    Very good job, but, why you only use a single effect of pan and tilt with the beams?

      Because it fits their songs. They all sound the same.

      dj videos I don't agree with that, as a lightning programmer and operator for the past 5 years i know you should use some different effects.

    • @volumelux253
      @volumelux253  7 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      I respect your opinion. But if you have 5 years of experience you would know that we all have our diffrent styles and methods. And lighting is all about perspective and taste aswell. Don't lock yourself into box of "musts". Client and DJ was happy. And people had fun. Thats the point. To create a experience for others.

      @@volumelux253 Agreed! If the client is happy than theres nothing to tall about here.

      Normally the CDJs on which the Djs are playing are connected via software to a monitor at FOH

      @@0Phyzer0 I almost never had gigs where they use recordbox or cuelab to look what tracks will be played next. But for sure it works!

      @@lars_geurts45 At almost every bigger Festival/Event they use Showkontrol which is sometimes even required by some LDs to not only see wich tracks play next but also to get BPM or control lights and lasers via Timecode.

  • @carver7585
    @carver7585 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    You don't need timecode for flash & trash like this, just button mashing. Literally all you're doing is flashing a cue 98% of the time.

    timecode is so fake. It's brilliant for a broadway show, but for a dj its all riggggggggggggggggggged. play it live guys.
