I picked up a mint 2005 LJ hard top sitting at 97,000 about a year ago for $23,500. Refreshed the suspension with JKS springs and Fox shocks with 33” K02s, upgraded the brakes with a Black Magic kit, added KC LED headlights and a Sony Apple CarPlay head unit. It’s now my daily driver. I’m not really a Jeep guy, but I’m having a lot of fun with this thing so far!
20-30k seems to be the going market for an LJ, especially the Rubicon. That is a great find and a good investment (in my slanted opinion). Glad you are having fun with it, before you know it you will be a Jeep fan for life!
That my friend is not a Holy Grail, that is a Unicorn! Only 1000 produced in 2005...... Only came in khaki color with a bunch of cosmetic goodies. I have heard of it, seen pictures but never in real life. Cheers.
Good luck. I just purchased a 2005 LWB Rubicon AZ Jeep with 103, 400 mi. for 20k. I was searching for a LWB TJ from CA to VA. Never in 100 year expecting a Rubicon and it was on CL for 15 hrs. I call the ad and the guy said he had 3 people scheduled to come look at it. I call my boss told him I had an emergency and beat one of the other potential buyers by 15 minutes. It was in a garage, excellent paint, hardtop no rust. Tears came into my eyes. The guy bought it for his grandson, he didn't want it because it was an automatic transmission. Lucky me.

The Holy Grail is the LJ Rubicon Sahara. A wrecked salvage title is not but I sure wish you the best.

@@LifeofaDAD05 I bought a beautifully clean 06 LJ from a guy who had it sitting in his driveway next to the one I bought.

Man, that is an awesome find. Sometimes we just get lucky.
Man good luck.. you’ll need to put some money in it
Thanks man, it's worth it to save it.
Crazy with a salvage title.... that will be hard to break even with the possible damage
