I work as an engineer and I can guarantee that a reflective surface will do little to nothing to protect the drone. High Energy Laser can often burn through them just as easily as many other materials.
People are saying reflection or mirror can evade them What if it exceeds then melting point U can't cover the entire body with mirror or reflective paint
Funny people comments mirror reflect laser they didnt know how mirror created laser has high temperature and mirror will reach it melting point unless you coat the drone with diamond you will not worried the laser beam.😂😂
It doesn't say it's a new tech but rather the first active deployment, thereby setting a new trend for the future. I am sure other countries will follow suit soon since it's not that complicated a technology.
It might be a good option against cheap drones but I don't think it is going to be very effective against expensive machines if engineers manage to equip them with mirror shields with laser trackers that can deflect these beams or some kind of reflective paint. Because in the end it is light. We are already using these technologies in space satellite to protect them from sun' radiation
I do not know why people call them ground breaking. It's merely a CIWS system not a patriot or S-400 An upgraded pantsir alongside tunguska should be enough to deal with pesky drones in an area
if South korea has these ... what do you think the big nations has..i'm sure its way better/bigger or whatever and ....i'm sure they're not telling us...i'm sure it could take down an aircraft instead of toy drones !

The "Star trek" laser in real life against weaponized drones!
The Star Wars era is coming.
Realy I like it they are powerful
Nice South korea
We love beautiful south korea from America ❤
Scary weapon
Grow up. They can’t make an internal combustion engine.
Star Wars: The Attack of the Drones
Whoa Cool Energy or Laser this is great really cool New Future Weapons😮
Great !
easy to beat, a mirror surface reflection, chrome plating works
I work as an engineer and I can guarantee that a reflective surface will do little to nothing to protect the drone.
High Energy Laser can often burn through them just as easily as many other materials.
They already know it, it's outdated against the US.
Well temparature exceeds than melting point, iits possible
That's a kid thinking, but in reality that's non sense cuz even a mirror can melt in a high temperature.
😂😂😂 are you kidding me brother
Former President Ronald Regan did mentioned that we have the star war technology 😅
@@tor-dv6km failed to mention soliders
i am poor person i love South korea, India , Japan, US , Australia
How brilliant mind have those man who created starwars, robotic movies...... In 70s, 80s and 90s. Imagine, they already know what will happen
South Korea Excellent 👍🏽.
# Makitappen
I do recall this technology being used for years already 😂
Hi ,,,adorable journalist of Gravitas,,your beauty is aways increasing....bravo...
South Korea and Japan are the best!
Ive seen this picture use for multiple countries now
What do you expect?? TH-cam is entertainment....nada mas😊😊
UK had already had a laser weapon
The lahanna lazer, ....amazing.
What if the drone is equipped with mirrors?
In this era of electronic warfare, this laser depends on ONLY electricity which can be easily neutralize.
^ top quality madrasa education
We've had this technology in space for years. 😂😂😅😂😅 It's not new.
People are saying reflection or mirror can evade them
What if it exceeds then melting point
U can't cover the entire body with mirror or reflective paint
It wont, warch styropyro's video about long range laser, he melted the glass easily with 2kwh and these lasers are way more powerful
This is at least the fourth country to get lasers, definitely not the first.
But it's the only country to actually start using it. That's the big difference.
Other countries started developing laser weapons before this country
the us has lasers that are much more robust in power .
US been having this tech just look at Hawaii
If you invented laser 2000w you are the most advance laser that have ever
we got that also how u think Hawaii got burt 😅😅
project blue roof
Lighting storm powerful than laser
Funny people comments mirror reflect laser they didnt know how mirror created laser has high temperature and mirror will reach it melting point unless you coat the drone with diamond you will not worried the laser beam.😂😂
Lol...some countries already started production for domestic use(like for cutting tree tops or branches)

Mirrors.

Not the first. And star wars is j.
Laser weapons are ground breaking, but only in good weather. If you add fog, rain they become worthless.
What happens when a drone is made up of lesser reflective material 😂😂😂
And you can't fly a drone properly in a fog also
Same on drones now is even 😂😂
@@donaldj3286 while not accurate in fog drone bombs can still do damage , while the laser is not.
Laser is weak when we have mirror ..
They are using it on garbage balloons of North Korea busting them on North Korean territory before they cross over😂
Same laser system they used on Hawaii
Wait till they come out with the carbon fiber non fireball and we're going to be where can I need to think a little bit more advanced
CCG used against PCG.
don;t tell me this is made by samsung
Cover drones with mirrors?
Wow
Just add mirrors to reflect beam
Not the first, Saudia Arabia bought 8 units from China already. The name is called Silent hunter.
What if power supply is cut...???
Dem use the battery one
Then they grab a quiver and a bow and run
Chinese copycats will soon be released
