Do you like the eBay headers ?
Did you have to run an regulator?
Great build love it
Hi Mike, the fit of the eBay headers is pretty good, imo, from what I've seen of other headers they take a lot of massaging to fit. With these you just install and go. Downside is they changing color with the repeated heat cycles. Not sure if that's normal for headers or if that's because these are made in China, as I thought they were advertised as stainless steel. Either way, I'd definitely recommend wrapping them before you install. The heat soak from them has been a big adjustment for me, and its caused issues with vapor lock in the summer. So much so that I had to put a spacer between the carb and intake. my 2 cents.
Yes, I have a regulator. My understanding is you want to always have one to protect the system, just in case there's an issue. Last I checked mine was set to 6 psi. haven't touched it since,
thanks for the questions,
@@av8bud thanks bro I will wrap them before install .
What version msd wires you bought ?
Mike, I just used the msd 8mm cut to fit wires. the boots on the spark plug side fit a lot better then the stock ones with those headers.
You said you had the A\C hooked up in this video, however the accumulator tank isn't hooked up ? And were you able to use the L S compressor at the LS mounting area?
hey Dan, yes I had the A/C reworked. They weren't able to use the stock location down near the passenger side engine mount, but there are after market kits for this. Mine uses the Sanden compressor, with a Kwik mounting bracket which puts it up closer to the radiator hose.

Hey don’t forget 1988 Monte Carlo SS lol, I had one.
hey that's true, and by then they all had over drives!
@@av8bud I owned a 88 SS with T Tops, 84 and now a 86. 85-88 all had the 200-4r overdrive transmissions, I just had mine built to handle 500hp.

@@charlieb308 nice! a little jealous honestly...would have saved me time/effort/money, of putting in a 700r4

Hi Chris, yea its a Napa 9867. I wanna say its from an 07ish Tahoe, but dont quote me:

Do you have a part number for the headers
hey man, i dont. i just used some s10 ls swap shorty headers because they fit without any adjustment...search on ebay "Stainless Headers For 1982-2004 Chevrolet S10 Blazer LS1 Sonoma Engine Swap"
Are you running with a MAP sensor or the MAP hooked up?. Did you wire the coolent temp sensor? Also are you running a map that was on the MSD 6014 or a custom tune when first start up?
Kris, yes and yes. The map on the 6014 is a little port that you hook a vacuum line to, and the temp sensor is on the driver side head. I honestly haven't really played around much with the tunes and am currently running just the base "LS1" selection. Ill note all this stuff and try to put together a 6014 video soon...
@@av8bud cool.. great info. I'm doing a L96 in my C10, going carb. Great info on your build. Keep up the videos
@@krisyaz1545 nice, good luck with it!
I know this is an old vid and you probably fixed this already but probably having fuel issues cause you're running a dead head regulator set up. Switch it to a return style regulator and that'll help your vapor lock
I haven't, but yep that's next on the list, thanks!
