Been there several times. It's a good walk from one end to the other. Although feeling a bit wind blown afterwards. Amazing how blue the sea is with such clear water.
It is a hard life Mark! I walked for 2.5 hours videoing most of this in the blazing heat and I had forgotten to take a drink. Oh how I suffer for this channel ;-) Thanks for watching.
It's a good sized beach, and parking decisions need to be considered carefully unless a good trek is desired! I am of the understanding the two hotels were allegedly actually built illegally in some way and that the intention has been to eventually knock them down and also reroute the road?

The nearest are the smaller beaches to the south of the town - shown as the town beaches at the end of this video. You could walk to Flag Beach which may take you 10 minutes or so. The weather should be lovely. As I always say to people when they ask "You can guarantee that the worst day while you are here will be better than the best day back in the UK".

I moved to north wales may 2013 from manchester like you did to fuerteventura ,but after watching your vids you have in inspired me to move there , ive been to the other 3 islands but not there , me and my girlfiend are moving to the canarys if we can find work,keep up the good vids John .
Thanks for showing the beaches, but I was hoping for some great click bait, as well. Nice job on your tags, too! Only two of them aren't in the first 10 spot. Here I sit in my office with a sweatshirt and jacket on to stay warm and you forgot your drink to keep hydrated while walking along the beaches, ahhhhh.
Click bait was difficult - most had no clothes on at all! I could have taken a selfie in a pair of budgie smugglers I guess but I wanted more than one view. The tags do seem to have worked this time.
Great video looks like a paradise! Is the color of the water better in Corralejo than in Jandia? :) I do not really know where to go in November to Corralejo or Jandia. The most important thing for me is the color of the beach u know when the beach is turquoise! :) thanks for answer!
I would say the water is generally more of a turquoise colour off the Jandia beaches as the water is shallower for longer. Life away from the beach is probably better in Corralejo so that is a bit of a dilemma. Have a great time whichever you choose. Thanks for watching.

How are the beaches and the weather at the end of January? I had to change my flight to January 2020 but I'm a bit worried about the weather. Great videos I really enjoy your work with showing the island. Could you please make a video about how to eat nice food on a budget?
Well you can never tell with the weather but we spent every January here for a number of years before we moved here and always spent at least 3-4 afternoons each week or more on the beach. I will give a video on that a thought but the best advice is stay away from the tourist areas. Don't eat at seafront restaurants or on the main tourist roads. Head into the side streets. Quite a bit of it isn't there. There is a dog beach to the north of Corralejo - that is to say it is between the land and the sea, but to call it a beach is a stretch of the imagination. I won't take my two there as a few weeks after it was designated someone put poisoned meat down and two dogs died. Thanks for watching.
Better sand than Calete de Fuste where they have dumped a load of sharp stuff! That got in my neoprene swim shoes and gave me a blister real quick. However not I found as rounded as that found on the beaches by El Cotillo which were my favourite beaches. I guess the sand around the big Corralejo beach is closely related to the wind (rather than water) weathered sands of the dunes behind, with the western beach sands being brought and blown in from NW winds i.e. from the sea. I am spoilt by the beaches of SW England in this regard and enjoy the feel of forgiving rounded grains between my toes, especially the little one. That said, there is nothing quite like bare foot January walks along UK coastlines no matter the sand qualities. ;O)
Well, unlike the Corralejo and the El Cotillo beaches, the Caleta de Fuste beaches aren't real beaches - just man-made play areas that need repairing and replacing! This time with builders rubble it seems. I get annoyed when I hear people say how beautiful the beaches are in Caleta. The surfer's beach in El Cotillo loses most of its sand during big storms in winter but by April/May it repairs itself. Now that is a beach! I agree about the beaches in SW England - some great beaches in Cornwall. It is just a shame about the weather.
Best is a matter of opinion really. I prefer completely natural with no sunbeds etc while others think that a beach should have parasols, sunbeds, toilets and bars. When are you going and will you have children with you? I can make some suitable suggestions then.
Not sure if you know but the road through the dunes is shutting today until October from the hotels onward as they are filming the new Wonder Woman 2 film there. You can still walk all along the beach though, but with small children you won't want to do that. It sounds like you are happy with Flag Beach (and who wouldn't be). If you haven't found out already, you will be able to buy umbrellas in many shops along the main street. Have a great time.

It is not easy getting long term rental in Fuerte, particularly in the north. There is lots of demand and little supply so the prices have gone up too. This one seems to have the most - roomtobreathesl.com/
Thank you. The sea should be around 20°C in April which I believe is roughly 5°C warmer than the sea around the UK in August and 10°C warmer than the UK sea in April! I don't freak out over these videos at the moment as the weather in Blighty has been kind to us for a while, but it won't last of course... and then I'll be freaking out again! In general October to March I really really don't want to be in the UK. Light boxes just don't cut the mustard for me!

Yes, the bus to Puerto del Rosario stops by the two hotels and runs every half an hour I think.
