Damn why they don't have a world competition for roller skates like they do ice skating??? These people got mad skills and should be recognized for such!
Most of the skating competitions are sanctioned and artistic/ballroom skating..Dance skating has no set standards to judge by,because there's no set standards..In other words,like in artistic skating a spin has to be near perfect,no falls,no dabs,no drifting,and jumps like axels have to be triples and better,no mistakes,etc,etc...That's part of the reason...

@@clydeswinfield1556 I do want our skating to be global,yet until we get compulsory standards,it will remain underground,like breakdancing,and of course exploited.Some of my fellow skaters make a good living on the wheels or get media exposure.I mean,the company i work for and skate with has been in the NY Times and on an HBO special,yet we need better standards so we can become wealthy doing this..

At "11:53", how is it even possible to stand on your head with no padding between your head & the skate floor? I can't even comprehend it for adults. Now maybe a kid or teenager, but a full grown adult? Man, you got some skills!!! Much love & respect for dem skills!!

It was simple skating there back in the day, I’m not complaining...it’s just I wish I could’ve witnessed what TRUE SKATE OF TALENT really meant. I’m wanting another pair of skates thanks to your exciting footage...I’m being serious. A lot of people think it's for advanced skaters but it's always been a part of skating. I can't ever remember having stoppers on my skates. Remember roller skating was invented in order to practice ice skating outside of winter and ice skates dont have stoppers on them either. Ice skaters are some of the most superb skaters. Yes the inline skates are the forerunner to the quad skates. We use rubber wheels, which if used properly can also be used as stoppers.
@@michaels8597 😁 they all have their physical benefits however I gave up jogging and returned to skating as it is easier on the joints but it does present its risks such as falling. I prefer RED LOBSTER to fishing but there would be no RED LOBSTER without fishermen 😁
