Alex taught Piper that love hurts and isnt always perfect while Piper taught Alex that love doesnt always just hurt and can be beautiful. And that's what love is. It's pain but also beauty and something we can't live without and something what makes the pain worth it and I feel like that's why they are perfect for each other, because they complete each other and love each other no matter what.

I wonder how long Alex was in prison before Piper came in? She was already out of her orange newbe outfit when Piper got there and she seemed adjusted to the whole situation, but here she has just snitched on Piper and she's not in prison yet. Alex' sentence worries me though, it has got to be long for what she's in for. I know it was reduced "like a lot" (quote) because of her snitching on people but how much really? Piper got 18 or 15 months for ONE minor thing, Alex has got to have a sentence of like 10 years or something, or let's say 8 for all the snitching? It's just, I want them to be together but in my mind Piper is going to get out of prison *years before Alex* (unless she somehow fucks up and has her sentence induced ... I don't see Alex' being REduced.
Indogene Doctor according to the latest season, Alex has 3ish year more than a Piper but Pipers sentence was extended when she lied about knowing that drug king pin. Alex may have been out of the orange quickly but was at the same orientation and if we assume they give that every few days, she arrived in prison not long before Piper. Also, she didn’t seem to know that Red is not to be messed with so was still pretty new.
Hi, I know this is years later and we know whats up now BUT the sentence was confusing me too. It was also the fact that Alex got out but then was put back bc of probation so I always wondered if they added to her sentence for that or if she just went back to her old sentence.
@@AdeleMoravcov so basically drug trafficking charges go from 5 years to upto 40 years (depends on how much of it was carried and sold). Since Piper only smuggled the money and did it for a short amount of time, she was given a lesser sentence. Alex on the other hand was a proper smuggler. If i had to guess she was initially sentenced about 8-10 years but since she named some people, she got time off, which could be like 2-3 years (so still 5-7 years). Later on when Alex told the truth about Kubra, her lawyer had already made a deal that if she tells the truth they will free her. Piper lies and Alex gets out, but then violates the probation. Now sentence for violation of probation is the amount of prison time that was suspended at sentencing when Alex got out (so 5 years as we know later on)
