    Great direction, I would use a paper inside which is more like home made paper or something with texture for a quality little pad. Love the look of a striker strip. 🇨🇦

    Another way I learned to make these was to do a double fold on the staple end so that you can hide the staple inside the card. Easier to show than explain ...:)

    I love watching your videos. Your instructions are clear and concise and you’re easy on my ears with your chit chat. Love hearing your stories, views, perspective. I’ve shared your videos with my crafty friends. I just need more of them to share!

      Your comment made my day!! Thanks so much for sharing it with others, and hope they'll share it as well. I'm thrilled that you think my instructions are easy to follow, as I sometimes worry that they aren't. I just finished making a year long planner from scratch and had a lot of difficult directions in that one...That's also why I always write the instructions below the videos, so people can print them if they learn better from reading instructions rather than from listening...Again, thank you for your kindness, I really appreciate it..Sandy

      Irmi, I think about you and the sunflower card all the time. My friend that I am doing the collaboration with has been ill off and on for the past six months and she is going to do sign language for her part for the hearing impaired. If I didn't tell you before, that particular video is to let the hearing impaired know that I always write everything out step by step in the info below box, so if you can't follow the closed captioning, that can be kind of unusual, they can read the notes instead.
      So eventually that video will go live, but in the mean time, I have a house mouse stamp where he is laying in the center of a huge sunflower and I'm going to make a card and send it to you. It's the least I can do after you've been so patient. I don't have your address written down, so if you would email it to me at saundralparker@yahoo.com, I'll make sure to send it to you. (The other video card is ok, but I really want you to have something that I've done a lot of work on, as you deserve something nice. ) I know you haven't minded, but I feel terrible and it's really weighed on me since I told you I would do it and the video hasn't gone live. Rich is backed up with probably ten videos, but i'll make sure I push yours closer to the front of the line. You've been such a great supporter of my channel and I just wanted to thank you...Sandy

      Arlene, Thanks for your nice note as always, and if you buy any paper pads that have the small (I guess) ATG size art in them, would work great for this...Do you get paper pads with inserts of those kinds of images there? Any of mine (that I showed in the video strike your fancy, as I'm getting your card ready to go and I'd be happy to cut one of them up and include it in your card. Sandy

      Lynn, The papers that Joanns sell are just a little too big for it, but I really liked how each sheet has twelve on it, so for me, it was only 20 cents a sheet on sale and if you're from the US, you can't throw a stone without hitting Joanns, haha. I'd love it if you would share a photo of yours on my facebook page, crafting for almost everyone, so others can see what you've come up with. I could have put 3-d embellishments on it, but wanted to stick with what a matchbook really looks like (and the washi tape really made it look like the striker bar) and I got rid of some of my hoards of washi....So glad you liked it. Sandy

      Elizabeth, Apparently I'm obsessed with witch feet this year, because I found a stamp/die set from I think either Hero Arts or Hampton Arts and it's four different pair of witch feet....Sometimes when you have something that sticks, you just go with it, haha....Glad you liked them and hope you'll make some as well. Terri, I loved that one too, and purple and green and black are my favorite combinations of Halloween colors, so I had to make one with her. There's a stamp and die set I just bought at AC Moore from I think, Hero Arts or Hampton Arts, that's just different witches feet and since the die is there, it would be so much fun to make little notes for your granddaughter with....Just a thought. Always nice to hear from you...Sandy

      So not very far, just on the other side of Pgh for you then right? You're south of the city, I thought you said (but if I'm wrong, I apologize.) I was hoping you would say something like Grove City and we could meet sometime at the outlets, but I would bet that's quite a drive for you (compared to me.)

    • @annettehough2792
      @annettehough2792 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've gone to the Grove City Outlets before. It would be fun to shop with you or just meet for a cup of tea.
      You are correct that I'm south of the Burgh. I can't tell you how much your videos brighten my days.

    • @craftingforalmosteveryone
      @craftingforalmosteveryone  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Annette, I'd be happy to meet you for tea and visit...so if you ever have a day planned of coming to shop there, please email me and I'll try to meet you...It would be great to meet a viewer. There's a stamp show in Akron Ohio, which is too far for you and 2 hours for me, but I'm hoping if I put out the word about it, that maybe I'll run into some people there. It would be so much fun to go to a stamp show with other crafters as poor Rich is my "crafty buddy" and one stamp show we attended, there was a man selling tickets and he told Rich his ticket was free because any man that would subject themselves to that for a day, deserved it. Rich is always a great sport at those...If you have a stamp show near you, they are so much fun...Love all the new shiny things, haha Sandy

      Crafting For Almost EveryoneIi'm in south Louisiana, and you know I think I have that stamp. Unfortunately I have not been able to find my Halloween stamps. I moved out of my house and back into my house last year because of the flood and I still haven't unpacked everything. I did just find my Christmas cards I had started before the flood - at least I'm a step ahead of that :-). Thanks for the info. I really enjoy your channel!

    • @craftingforalmosteveryone
      @craftingforalmosteveryone  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think that's funny, because it happens to me all the time. I started buying the really hard sided suitcases and probably show one in my craft room tour. They hold a ton and stack standing on top of each other. I write Christmas or Halloween on it and that helps me stay organized for holidays. The rest of the year, they are stacked in the back of a closet. Everything else is subject to a "Search and Destroy" kind of mentality, as I lose more things than I find...especially crafty items I need to return...So frustrating, so I know what you mean. Rich just gave up his closet and ripped out the closet organizer to put in a closet downstairs for his work clothes (since he's retired now.) All that needs done now, is to fill the holes and paint the closet and I'm so excited, as it will give me a lot more room to organize. I could probably fill it with my stamp collections alone (how embarassing to admit that!)
      So glad the weather this year hasn't hit your area, you've been through enough. Sandy

    • @craftingforalmosteveryone
      @craftingforalmosteveryone  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I forgot to mention that the suitcases are the old ones from maybe the 1960's and most people can't get rid of them at garage sales/thrift stores, so I pay usually $1-2 for them (and considering the amount they hold, that's a great deal for storage...)

      Wait until you see the video I made of making a Christmas wreath for a cemetery. I think I lost my mind and hope Rich can edit out some of the crazy things I said. My cousin Shelli and her friend came to craft, and we turned her friend into a human bow jig and yes, I put it on camera. It was so funny and she was such a great sport. My bow jig just wasn't big enough to make the size bow we needed for the wreaths, so we had her hold out her arms (and of course we use glitter covered ribbon)....the glitter was flying everywhere and she was covered in it from head to toe...It was so much fun and she made two really awesome bows. Who knew a human bow jig was the way to go?

It might be a week or so before it goes live as Rich has a bunch of videos he needs to put up and I'll get it into the lineup as soon as I can because it's really important for people who are considering buying one. • @craftingforalmosteveryone
      @craftingforalmosteveryone  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you're asking about the individual sheet that I cut each of the small boxes from, I don't know if it has a name. You almost always can find it in the single sheets of papers in Joanns in racks, depending on the time of year, they usually have it for upcoming holidays. Also, most 12 x 12 pads will have one or two pages that are similar, but much thicker paper than you find in the open stock that would be in your stores. Sorry I can't be of more help than that...I did try finding it at Joann.com, but couldn't figure out what to type in to narrow the search...sorry....Sandy

    The are so cute and Adorable. Dumb Question -After writing on the paper is it hard to tear a sheet of paper out of the booklet since it is doubled over?

    • @craftingforalmosteveryone
      @craftingforalmosteveryone  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have to be honest, I followed another TH-camrs directions, and so I assumed they must tear out easily, but honestly, it never occurred to me to try it. I gave all of mine to my girlfriend for her craft fair, so I hope they did tear out easily, but I'm not really sure. I think most people use them as a continuous note pad to themselves, as it only has 20 sheets of paper in it. Sorry I can't give you more info...Sandy
