I think I’m gonna have to look at this several times to figure out the final sewing technique, but I’d love to make these because I have alopecia and wear a turban around the house all the time. They’re not cheap to buy and I would love to Make done using my favorite colors and I love that it’s got some body to it since I have no hair. Thank you so much for the video and I love your instructions. I read it in another video comments that someone complained you talk too much, but I like to hear the instructor telling me every little bit of their technique that answers all my questions. A video That’s just music does nothing for me so thank you so much for the excellent tutorial. I just found you this evening and I’m subscribing.
What a great idea. I'm going to make these for people who are on chemo and have lost their hair. I wish I had seen this when I was on chemo. My poor head used to get so cold. I had other scarves adn hats but this would have been great! I love the softness of the fabric. Thank you for another inspiration for a sewing project. I can donate the hats to the chemo lab and they can let the patients pick the one they want. Bless you Vivian, you are quite something else. Lovely lady! 🌹
First I just want to say sorry that you have to go through a difficult time, second I am sending prayers for your good health, with your kind heart of helping others you will be cancer free very soon Please take care Love Vivian
I just saw this! Just in time! My neighbor’s daughter just started chemo treatments and I am making her a few different types and colors of turbans for when she loses her hair. Thank you, Vivian!
Yes Vivian I took time to come and see you but OMG you lost me!! I would have to see this over and over to really catch this. It turned out so adorable!! I have some stretchy material but its's all stars and stripes I think...red white and blue anyway...LOL..but who cares!! Take Care My Love..😉
🤯 So easy. I'm in SHOCK right now. Here I am, stuck in bed (back pain) right now. Found this video. And now my body is literally jumping out of my skin. To get to my sewing machine, so I can try making one of these gems.. And may I say, the pic of your twins are adorable... New sub here 🤗 Thank you for sharing 💐
Lizabeth, thank you for your sweet comment. You really warm my heart when I read this, I feel so special.. Back pain can be annoying, you try stand under the shower and turn the water to warm directly to your back for 5 minutes, when you get out apply Vick vaporizer ( use for chest suppressant) you’ll feel better ( get it at Walmart) I just twisted my neck and shoulder the day before yesterday, it hurt unbelievable and I did this, I am 90% better now Please take care Sending love to you and your family Vivian
You are so welcome! My prayers sent out to your cousin Eva , May God protect her for the rest of her life Sending love to you and your family Please take care Vivian
So pretty that color is awesome, I have that same material and Vivian for what i see you can do any and everything in my book. Lol Ty for sharing be blessed be safe 💜💜🙏
I wish you had tried this on for us! I'm sure you would have looked lovely. Thank you for everything you share with us. I'm overwhelmed with all I MUST sew now. You've great ideas, and you show and explain everything SEW well! Thank you!
Hi Vivian. That is so pretty. I have a lot if stretchy material in dresses that I don't wear and I am going to attempt to make this. I will be following this tutorial step by step very closely so I won't make a mess. If I make a mess at least I'll have plenty of fabric to practice with. Thanks for posting this. Take care and have a wonderful and blessed day. ❤ 😊
Anna, I love your attitude, never give up and success always comes to people like yourself. You don’t even know how much fabric and old clothes I used when I learned how to sew . But I am just like you,, keep trying until I got it If you ever have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask. I am here to help Please take care Vivian
Good Morning Sis, love the print on this material, perfect if you have a ponytail. If not the hat still keeps you warm. Thank you for always showing us possibilities for gifts for Christmas. Love 💜 you Sister and the whole family. Does school start soon? Jewels 💎
Good morning Vivian. I love this idea. I have lousy hair so I wear head coverings a lot when I go out, usually bandanas or scarves. I still have some stretchy fabric left from last year, when I made your kimono, that's just been lying around waiting for a project. The best part is the slouchy top--it gives it style, and the invisible sew line is genius; you can sew on the right side of the fabric and still have all the thread hidden. I love learning new stitches like that. Thanks for another great and useful tutorial. Love you, sis, Susan XOXO
Thank you Sister for your beautiful page of journal, ,I am reading it and BBQ for the boys because later we will have up to 90 degree... So sick of the big changing of weather lately, I twisted my neck on the left side from the neck to my shoulder from the trip to Hobby Lobby yesterday... Took a warm shower and applied some heating pad on but still bother me so much.. So I can't look back just look forward LOL Sending love to you and your family Please be safe Vivian
@@TheTwinsDay Oh, I'm sorry that happened to you; that is so painful. I go to a pain doctor and he says to alternate between ice and heat sometimes. Ice for the first day or two, then heat to loosen the muscle stiffness. Poor sis, I feel bad for you because I know how much that hurts. Please be careful what you do while it's like that. Love, Susan
I’m sorry to hear that but you’re right, practice is important when we’re new on something. When cutting fabric I remember when I was new to sewing, I cut the paper first ( if it’s small) then place on the fabric and cut, but big projects like this one, I pin the fabric together when I fold it. Also the scissors I use in the video is super perfect for cutting fabric straight Thank you for your visit Vivian

I just made one and it looks terrible lol. Yours is perfect! I need to practice. Do you have any tips for cutting out the fabric straight?

In this video I used Pintuck foot also I can use Zig Zag foot too
