There's no rhyme or reason why this song is a catchy as it it is. First off, the strings are soothing, and pleasant enough to induce sleep. But the bass and drums, horns are just asskickin' the shit outta you to groove with them and they ain't holdin' back ,, then there's Barry voice,, and that's it..!! you're gone to another place and you ain't comin' back.. This is a musical orgasm .. Well done bass cover my man

Thanks Steve, that's very much appreciated. It's a combination that *can* provide some EQ challenges for certain numbers, but I switch to Jazz Bass & roundwounds on those rare occasions!

Hi Maciej, yes, simply a stereo (aux) input to the Boss, in which I tweaked a factory preset (60's R&B mode) to better reflect the Stingray's essential tone with flatwounds (& bridge mutes slightly engaged). I tend to use a similar baseline setting for everything, as I prefer the sort of late '70's tone that characterised the Stingray on many records of that era. The Boss is then fed stereo out into the line input jack of a little old digital recorder (a Marantz PMD620). None of my recordings are via PC etc. Thanks :-)

Awesome but you got something wrong brother- Nathan slides rather than hammers on the main riff- its in this video for SBL.
