thanks for a great review..... i have painful speeds skates, that even after oven heat molding, are just painful..... maybe i need to think about these as a replacement. Interesting about the hot sock process... never heard about this before.
This is such a fantastic review. I am looking to get into Urban skating after years of fitness skates (and early years spent on my Roces M12s) and this review is wonderful. Will have to come an visit this great shop.
Didn’t realize the 195 version also comes with a top ratchet strap. Unlike the 165 version, which comes attached with the strap out of the box. I like that one detail!
I can confirm that the FR SL Speed is wonderful for big distances. I recently did a 24-hr skate in the FR SL Speed and managed to get 461.25 km. At no time did I suffer from foot pain, blisters or any pressure points. Frame was Powerslide Core 3x125. This is a very good skate.
How do you think this low cuff compares to hockey skates? I've never skated with straps, but am definitely used to integrated liners so that's a plus. Honestly I've put so many miles on the streets with hi-lo and from what I'm reading I've prob been missing out on comfort all these years with my 76-76-80-80. If I still lived in New york I'd head right to your shop. Thanks for the vid
The same type of boot but higher - FR SL and FR Spin. You can also check popular city choices with plastic boots such as FR FRX, FR FR1 and etc. as well as budget but still good Micro MT-Plus. There are many types of skates with higher cuffs.
@@Inmoveskates I will have to look at these. I am currently using FR1s size 41 with several modifications to the liner but would want to size down to get a better fit but I will have to do some heat molding probably with intuition liners because of my wide feet. My ideal size would be 39 to 40 but my feet are roughly 105mm wide. I get serious nerve pain if the width is too small for my feet.
Hello! I recently start with this sport, But I have a question, my skates have two sized of wheels, 2 of 80mm and 2 of 76mm, what could be the order of the wheels on the boots?
Anyone know what size the frame mounting bolt is? Metric? M6? M8? My Trinity mount uses M6 and Powerslide uses a Torx wrench. Since Endless frames use a hex wrench for the wheels I bought stainless steel M6 hex bolts to mount the frame. Stainless bolts are super strong and won’t rust. And now I have one wrench for everything.
You can order it on a website to Bangladesh as well. The shipping for orders that are above 300 USD - is free. If less, you can see the shipping cost at the checkout. Though check the local custom duties (import taxes) as they are paid by a buyer. Also, it’s important to double check your size as the return paid by customer.
Question: I would like to upgrade to an integrated liner, but I'm curious what someone does when eventually those liner start tearing, causing hot spots, etc? You can't change them out for new liners because of course they're integrated. That's the only thing that's stopping me from upgrading. Thoughts?
Hello. In my experience I have first issues with the spots after 3 years or later only(though my 4 yo skates have a small “hole” where it’s not an issue and I can continue to use them. The latest models really has less issues with it than 2012 year models for example). To avoid this, do not put the foot in wet socks or into wet skates. And just put the foot into the skates carefully. Of course you can use wet socks/skates as well sometimes, just not always and do not rush. The special skate socks also will help. Not everyone has this issue, but it happens sometimes and best to avoid it.
@@Inmoveskates Thank you! Amazing response time! So here's my dilema, I'm debating between upgrading to a top tier FR1 Deluxe Intuition or going for these FR SL Speed. I've never used a lower cuff boot, or carbon fiber for that matter, I'm very intrigued. I've seen videos and read reviews on the FR1's lasting over 5 years, just having to change the liners at some point. That's what got me curious in regards to my original question. Would you recommend the FR SL Speed over the FR1? I"m either or I'm using the Endless 90, if that helps, also I mainly, only do city/urban skating.
Does the heat molding also apply to the regular SL? I've been looking at the SL and my feet is halfway between two sizes (using mm instead of shoe size) and was wondering if I can heat mold it so that I can fit my feet without too discomfort... (I have 263mm feet thinking of going for the size 40) Would you suggest and would I be able to heat mold them?

Useful video !
great review, thanks!
Is there a video that demonstrates the bearing remover in action?
Never understood.
Amazing, those kind of boots can put on agresive frames?

I am looking for a higher boot. I think the added height helps (pain wise) for my 51 year old feet.

I’m interested but don’t see the SL Speed in your store. Is it sold out?

I’m in need of this boot with 195mm mount in size 42. I can’t seem to find them available anywhere

Here is our FR Spin review :)

@@Inmoveskates thank you :o)
Looks great, but I doubt my 110mm-wide feet (high arches, too) will fit. I ride FR1's usually, but am looking for a lighter skate for trails.

Thank you! How wide is the toe box? Same as the full height FR SL?

Considering these with the endless 4x100 - would that work or better to go with SL?
I want to take it but I want to take it from Bangladesh, can it be taken?

Do you carry the FR1 deluxe
Yes, we have some on inmoveskates.com (from California warehouse, and some in Florida).
I am your fan

heatmoldable doesnt mean will crunch half size, it will only accomodate better
The SL is not heat mouldable.
I ask you to give me a free shoe
