put a small metal hose clamp around the split plastic housing then tighten the hose clamp screw this will pull everything together, much better and permanent than a zip tie
I am astickler for trying to fix things the right way but sometimes you have try a different approach especially when the parts cannot be found I call it cheating as a last resort I am glad you stuck to fix this TT it lets me see how you approach this repair I am at this time trying to repair a onkyo cp-1055f integera TT the tone arm would not move cause of a broken gear which I was able to find but the cueing is not working still found a sensor that tracks how this works but has a broken piece so it will not cue up do not know how to fix or replace sensor if I can find one
