Hi Dave! Glad you're enjoying the channel and hoping this helps you, others, etc, and gives some ideas what we can do with our vehicles, whether they're Honda Elements, Toyota 4Runners, FJ Cruisers, etc. Since owning my E, all I have ever run were 225/70/16 AT tires... this is the *first* time I've ever had any slight rubbing. I just found your video. Those wheels look way better than stock. Your recommendation for intake and exhaust is what I would have recommended myself. I think you did a great job on this video. As a mechanic, i can't complain at all! I don't know your skill level is, but You did very good. The only thing i would have done different is put anti seize on the hub centric's. The only reason why I say this is because sometimes the wheel gets corrosion on them and they get stuck on the wheels or even on the hub. Other than that, you did great. I am now a new subscriber!
Thank you for the great comment! Made my day. I’m fairly handy with some wrenches and know-how, and certainly love that tip about the anti-seize on the hubcentric rings! Great call!!

Nice touch wire brushing the hips but you should also add a thin film of grease so they don’t corrode in future. Also taller tires will hurt acceleration since they change the effective axle ratio.

Good looking wheel , did. It come with a center hub color matched cap? Did you need to align your E . Tread pattern & inflation, tire Size + ride height will all effect mpg. K-24 A Honda engines w/long factory headers flow pretty well I am told. A K&N engine air filter can help. Good luck see you out there. R FUNIUM 2. 2010 E 4WD EX
Hey Richard, thanks for the comment... Yes, they came with the color matched center cap. I didn’t need to get an alignment; I have always run this size AT tire since 2010 ownership. Same consistent inflation practices also. The tire didn’t really knock the gas mileage to badly. Maybe lost only .5mpg. I have run a k&n filter since 2010 also. K-24 motor is definitely able to be worked up a bit and still be reliable. I contemplated a turbo at one point, but decided against it. The element is what it is and as long as we are sober about what it is, the fun just kinda happens with this vehicle. All the best to ya!!

Hey man, I am from Vegas and also own a Honda Element I've been looking for some good rims and tires I like the tires you have and the rims are pretty nice too, however, I would like to have a bigger option mine is an 03. Is there a good place to go for Honda Element specific rims or do most rims you have to get those hub center rings?
When you say you want 'bigger option', do you mean wheel width, wheel height, etc? Basically, I found the manufacturer of the rim and they also had the hubcentric rings to make the fitment correct. 64.1mm is the hub on an Element, but the wheel's bore could be any number of sizes, so you'll have to get a ring that properly seats on both surfaces.
