      That said, I don’t think she is that wrong. Hate to say it but Mayfield being the only one obviously worse than Brock.
      God help me but I agree with Nick Wright. We have not seen Brock win when they are facing adversity. Closest thing would be the Raiders last year going into OT.
      If he shows me that over these playoffs I’ll be happy I bought that Purdy rookie card PSA 10 MNT last year.

    The mark of a great quarterback is that they make everyone around them better. Brock has done that. The offensive line was considered our week spot and has gone without much criticism this season because of brocks play. 4 1,000 yard skill players first time in the history of the NFL once again because of Brock. He gets overlooked way too often and isn't given the credit he deserves because of the talent around him but he has helped those talented players reach their potential. He leads in QB rating, QBR, deep-ball passing percentage (NFL record) and deep ball efficiency (NFL record). His air-yards, per attempt, is 1.5 yards deeper than the #2 QB. Just because you have a great supporting cast doesn't mean you can just plug and play any QB and keep doing the same things you were doing offensively. If anything, Brock helped turn Brandon Aiyuk into one of the best WR's in the league this year, but the "experts" haven't thought about that at all. • @DisappearingNightly
      @DisappearingNightly 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@realistNFL If that's the argument you wish to make, you could just as easily frame it as is it a case of All Pro players simply making a quarterback better or does the quarterback in fact elevate the level of play in the All Pro players around him?
      Case in point, Mike Evans career stats are eye-popping. 10 seasons in the league, perennial pro bowler, over 1000 years in every single one of them. Career averages of 76.2 receptions, 1168 yards and 15.2 ypc. He was BELOW his career averages in every one of those categories with Brady as his QB. He actually put up better numbers in the seasons he played with Jameis Winston and Baker Mayfield. Similarly worth noting, Chris Godwin's career highs in catches, yardage and YPC all happened in non-Brady seasons.
      On the other hand, perennial all-pro George Kittle just had a career high of 15.7 ypc, and Brandon Aiyuk had a breakout season, leading the league at 17.9 ypc. And if you bother to do a deep dive, the production of both players has been markedly better with Purdy at QB.
      I don't think the Brady comparison is the winning argument most people assume it is. Brady didn't have his breakout season until his seventh year in the league. In 22 years as an NFL QB he only had three seasons where he put up numbers on par with what Brock has accomplished in his rookie season and year two. For most of his career, Brady was the very definition of a "game manager" whose primary job was not to screw things up. He had the good fortune to have played on teams with top tier defenses and top quality offensive lines (certainly much better than Purdy has) and his role was never to be great or spectacular, but to just be good enough. And he played his role. Nothing more, nothing less.

    Great...do we remember how well the previous QBs played with the same talent, before last season? Nowhere near the level of the current QB. To me, the main difference is his ability to read defenses and go through progressions. His ability to do that is closer to Montana & Young, rather than Jimmy and his backups. The talent around him has nothing to do with his ability to read a defense and get the ball to the right spot. Brock is exceptional!

    I think everybody remember Tom Brady was a backup quarterback, and when he got the chance he never look back up.

    I am a 49ers fan. I have always been a 49ers fan. I agree with her. Brock Purdy is a young quarterback, he has a lot to learn. I have watched him bumble the ball more than a few times. He threw 2 pick 6s in 7 seconds of play. Everybody needs to relax, he is no Tom Brady....Yet. But I can not wait to watch him year by year. I had never heard of Amy Trask but now I have. Well played Amy!

    Supporting cast.
    So did Steve Young and Joe Montana. They had Jerry Rice, TO, John Taylor, Rodger Craig, Brent Jones, Ricky Waters and the list goes on the support they had. Thats not including their O-line and their defense they help with. Brock Purdy beat out Joe and Steve’s passing record in his first full season without having the goat of football Jerry Rice. So put some damn respect on Purdy’s name.

    "If you don't have the cast the 49ers have assembled... then having a quarterback that can do a lot with less is something to consider."
    What an astute observation. Get a good quarterback and solve all your problems?!? By Jove, I think she broke the code.

    I like how she said: “wait 49ers fans” after she slighted Brock.. you knew what you were doing. You were looking for click bait right before Forty Niners destroy their way to their sixth chip and you wanted to take advantage of the red and gold wave…
    Edit: grammar. Words = difficult.
