I've seen both Kittle and Juszczyk freelance their routes to open space, but every time they do that they put their hand up. It's the universal receiver signal that "hey I'm open". You'll notice that Aiyuk did not do this. This may be what Purdy means about "communication" breaking down. He can't actually say this in public, because then defenses will look for this. So Purdy could not tell if he was running to open space or just confused and running the wrong route. (Lack of trust there, whatever he may say) I remember 2 picks from last year where there was a deep left to right crossing route and Purdy missed the safety coming from the right. He could still have thrown it to Aiyuk but he wasn't sure where the safety was - makes sense. It's hilarious that we're all focused on this. Like as if this one missed read makes the loss all Purdy's fault. Jimmy G used to miss 2 or 3 wide open deep receivers on every pass play - only to hit his check down - and we used to think he was pretty good 😀

@@tommydong8070 A lot of people did think Jimmy G was good and I was one of them. However I only felt he was good in the first half of this season when he joined and after that, the next season started and he got injured then after this, he never regained what he had. He was just a glorified football model. My nephew loved watching him play but my nephew was too young to have known what a good 49er player was

Being a football fan is a rollercoaster of emotions.
Don’t give us that BS about niner fans and our behavior. We are just regular football fans like you and yeah we are a little upset that aiyuk isn’t earning his money and it’s because of the shorts incident at practice.
He doesn’t want to wear the right shorts for dress code at practice, and he just got 30 mil a year. So don’t give us that BS on hating BA.
He needs to get his shit together, that’s why there’s a communication problem. I’ve been a BA fan from day one by the way, and he’s come a long way.

Your timeliness is late. This comment was before the shorts incident. He should get criticized about that, but I'm sure this often happens. The reason why we know is only because of Grant, I'm sure. He's putting a 🔎 on Aiyuk for the clicks. Once there's no drama there, he'll return to Kyle or the next hot topic he makes hot.
It's not rocket science what's happening here.
Just like Dremond on the Warriors. We would've never seen the punch if someone wasn't sneaking recording it, but that stuff happens all the time. There is nothing to see here about the shorts, and 30 million doesn't change behavior.

One thing I haven't seen anyone mention is Brock doesn't have the arm strength to make the sudden rope-like trajectory throw leading Aiyuk into the endzone that'd be needed in this situation. As examples, watch Geno long TD to Metcalf against the Dolphins and Jayden Daniel's 56-yard pass to McLaurin. These guys can make this throw with a flick of the wrist and without needing to step into it. Purdy would need that and also time to wind up, and he has a slower windup compared to other qbs. If he throws it Aiyuk either doesn't catch it or it gets batted down by the trailing corner. I think Brock understood his limitations and actually chose the right play to Jauan to get positive yards.

Omg. This makes so much sense! As a basketball player (point guard) if my 2 cuts back door on a play I’d definitely make that pass in the first half, but 30 seconds left in the game and a 3 point lead and I’m not sure where the forward is I wouldn’t risk it when we have a specific play designed for a specific way of scoring. "There's some communication stuff that we talked about." "How are we on the same page so I can let that go." @theeALister หลายเดือนก่อน

Brock saw him though and was already looking his way. The hand wasn’t the issue, it was BA going off script and Brock didn’t anticipate it because of their lack of chemistry given Aiyuk’s holdout. As a QB, it’s hard to pull the trigger on a throw that you didn’t anticipate because if you’re late it may be picked off or the WR takes a big hit. Hence the reason Brock mentioned that he didn’t know where the safety was and he was just trying to protect the football given the situation where getting any type of points likely means the 9ers win. Brock did the right thing but so did Aiyuk. Unfortunately it didn’t work out.

It was also kind of a long throw, and with the way the receivers were dropping passes all day, it was not a guaranteed completion. Brock made the right decision to protect the ball, and try to make the first down! Had Jimmy G made the same decision in the Super Bowl by throwing to a wide open Kittle for the 1st instead of overthrowing Emanuel Sanders on the post, the 49ers might have won that game.😂

I still don't understand why he didn't throw it. The samething happened last week and he definitely seen it on tape. the rams were also trying to mimick what the vikings did last week or mayhe this is their new defense with shula. He didn't see the safety because he wasn't there. And even if he was running to it from the middle of the field you lead aiyuk away from him towards the sideline a bit and you got a walk in td (if aiyuk catches it). I don't get it, he was able to find juice and hit him with no hesitation in the NFCCG and that was alot more difficult. Juice was supposed to run a deep corner route and instead got shoved so far inside that it turned into a crosser. Just sucks, purdy and jennings played so great it was a statement game for both of them but 2 missed opportunities (fumble before halftime, wide open aiyuk) changes this game from a win to a loss. Because of his special teams defense and some bad drops. Now we are 1-2 during the easiest stretch of this entrie schedule I definitely wasn't expecting this coming into this year.

It's week 3, i'm not sitting here trying to rip him for that especially since i know he never passes those kinds of plays up. I just really wish he would've hit it, it would've capped off his statement game. D was bad, ST's was bad, missing 3 stars, Aiyuk still working back to all-pro status, same with Williams, plus all the drops we had, Mason was having a bad day. If it wasn't for that 18 yard run he was barely averaging 3 yards a carry. It wasn't a great game for the whole team besides purdy and jennings and he would've gotten 100% credit for carrying this team to a win.

@@andrewthompson10 That Ravens game was pretty flukie though right? Only one of those 4 picks was really on purdy for making a "bad" decision. Kittle didn't get proper depth on his corner route to keep Hamilton honest in his coverage so he jumped a pass that should've been wide open to deebo flr a td on that first drive. Then the 2 tipped ints, one of them was the screen pass that MacDonald could a double DB blitz on. Purdy pump faked him got him jumping then tried to fit it around him or over him and it got tipped to the other blitzing DB, that was just the wrong play at the wrong time. Then he tried hitting kittle on a scramble drill and Hamilton got away with early contact on kittle to knock that ball away and was picked again off the tip. Then the last one was McCaffrey on a option route, McCaffrey chooses to either stop and turn around like a short curl route/checkdown, cut out or cut in and he choose cut in so him and purdy weren't on the same page and the ball was behind McCaffrey for a pick. Purdy had pressure getting to him also and had to dump it off to his checkdown which was McCaffrey and just wasn't on the same page as purdy.

no I ,don’t buy into, that it’s a lie brock lied as a quarterback it doesn’t matter that you need to know where the guy is gonna go. If he’s wide open out way down the field waiting for the ball doesn’t matter which way he’s gonna go what matters is he catches the ball. he gains a few yards to get into field position or go all the way down so no, quarterbacks over the years they don’t worry about where the guys gonna go , that’s a toss off. excuse he was was freezing Brandon out and he knows it.
The goal of any quarterback is to get the ball into the hands of the receiver and then let the receiver do his magic and Brandon was clear out in the open three times and didn’t throw to him because he’s probably going by Kyle script and basically he’s on a tight leash. like a dog.
The quarterback if that’s the case and he’s one of these quarterbacks that doesn’t need to be coached
It’s the coach that needs to be coached by the quarterback, he’s Tom Brady 2.0 in Development those type of quarterbacks are elite quarterbacks and they don’t need to be told what to do on the field.
He’s got a lot of experience on the field specially in the college so long story short he froze Brandon out and it did it on purpose.
There is something to note bosa was recently interviewed in the locker room the way he said Kyle System. He said it kind of sarcastically.
I have a feeling that there are some players on the team that think it’s a Kyle problem they’re just not willing to say it openly , I think it’s the defensive coordinator and the special teams Coordinator issue and those two need to go right now.
Kyle would just be a bonus at this point dude wins three NFC championships and no Super Bowl ring. I’ve moved on from that guy goodbye Kyle make sure the door doesn’t slam at your ass on the way out.
