If you're watching this video, you're either brand new to the world of recording your music or you're already experienced and already know how to do this - BUT - remember when you had to connect your very first interface for the VERY FIRST TIME!? It was scary, right?! Pass it forward for the newbies joining our audio family and comment below with your best tips for absolute beginners! I'l go first: Start simple, even if it doesn't sound good. Most people are trying to record themselves singing and playing an acoustic guitar to start - just try and record both with a single mic to start, then once you've got that figured out, move to two mics (one on guitar and one on vocals), and then you can start worrying about placement, and etc. One step at a time baby! This is the way! ❤
I found this video very helpful. It solved a lot of my problems connecting my um2 interface to pro tools. Got it to recognize it and i can see the signal and record it but i cant hear anything. Phones plugged into interface. Ideas?
I need assist in your knowledges using m audio 192/14 air interface, trying to get my signal to read in PROTOOLS but can only hear it through headphones jack in the m audio, the mpc is signaling in the M audio but how to read or see the signal in PROTOOLS,I looked in this tutorial followed steps maybe a wiring input output signal needed other than hearing through headphones?
First thing to check is your Pro Tools Playback Engine shows your interface as selected - also check this in the audio midi settings if you're using a Mac. I'm not familiar with that interface in personal experience so I can't help too much here I'm afraid!
Thanks! As long as your audio interface (Behringer in your case) is compatible with your computer, you shouldn't have an issue using it with Pro Tools! Happy recording!

Thank you because I was ready to throw my whole computer against the wall.
Glad I could help! It can definitely be frustrating getting up and running!
