Live is the only way to test the accuracy of a band. And these dudes have been blowing all other bands out of the venue with how accurate they are live. The kings will and always reign. Metallica still rules the world.
Do you really believe that Metallica is accurate live? You must be having a laugh. Rush is accurate, Lars is a clown that plays at a high school level. James has ALWAYS been the time keeper of that band, ALWAYS. The only reason he hasn't been replaced is because he is so rich that he would tie James up in court for the rest if his life. Look at his bitching about Napster, without tape trading Metallica would not exsist. After the And Justice For All era their live performances have steadily declined, mainly because of Lars. HE SUCKS.
Well yes and not... They are not the same live but they are still really good.. they have a lot of money for sound engineering and production is a big help. You want to see accuracy go to a Judas Priest , Testament, Kreator , Gojira and more. Their vocals are out of this world and they are as old as James (except Joe Duplantier ). Chuck's voice every year is better and better.

I’ve seen Metallica 5 times over the last 30 years. To me they sound better now than anytime before. James voice is amazing in his elder years. The whole band itself is a masterpiece.

At present, any rock/metal band that violates the political taboos of the Chinese authorities has been banned, represented by Taiwanese metal band Chthonic.

I took my son to see this show and not only was it the biggest and best concert ive been too but it got my son hooked on concerts now and that made me very happy
I was there both nights! An unforgettable experience. Orion followed by tens of thousands of people signing Nothing Else Matters was epic! The stadium was literally shaking during Master of Puppets. I was on the 3rd level, and the concrete floor was bouncing.
i would have freaked tf out if i went to this concert, literally started with my three favorite songs, and if they played dyers eve they would've killed me lol
Harvester of Sorrow hit the hardest at this show. Loved the energy on the floor, I will say the reverb was a little much at some points, but overall great fkn show!!

No. The audio must have been edited. Lepper Messiah, for instance, the original video from the Metallica channel is on standard tuning while here is tuned down. Great job editing though.

I saw a proshot show from 89 that had Jason high in the mix. James was so pissed, why I'll never understand. Having the bass equal in the mix adds so much depth and texture. The reason why the bass is non existent on their best album is because James and Lars mixed it. It's all rhythm guitar and high attack kick drums. If you haven't heard "And Justice For Jason" look it up and listen to it immediately!
You can hear Jason really well in a lot of shows from his era. I saw em in 98 and they sounded great. Cliff may have shined as a songwriter and for his creative influence, but in my often somewhat humble opinion, I think Jason was the more technically skilled bassist, especially in thrash terms. His right hand was an equal to that of James -- you can hear it in the lines he laid down for AJFA on TH-cam. Jaw dropping thrash riffage. People practice for hours a day to get their right hand nimble like James, and to think Jason had that - on *bass* - is extremely impressive.
@Metal_Horror I totally agree. AJFA was 100% Jason's album from top to bottom. People don't like to hear it, but Cliff was just a frustrated guitarist who played bass. There are a billion of them out there.

Because of it's thick, chunky agressive sound could be the reason why it came through in the mix. It's probably also the reason why it never made another appearance. James and Lars are very petty when it comes to anything competitive with their mids. Have you ever listened to "And Justice For Jason"? If not, do it immediately!

when i was at the concert, there was so much to take in, i could not digest it all but it was certainly amazing - watching this now - at my own pace, i am even more blown away with the quality of playing, and the band enjoying themselves! the end of fade to black took my breath away

I seen Metallica in 2019 in Boise. I was so very impressed and I had wanted to see them for many years. My night last night involved so much pain..I got up this morning and just happened to see this on my you tube on my big screen TV in my frontroom. I just started blasting this whole entire concert on my TV and it helped me feel so much better! ❤ Thank you Metallica for making life so much easier through your music.

He was able to pull his marks up in school and this was his reward. Thank for your video because now he will always have a memory of this time.

This is where James got fried by a pyrotechnic, Montréal is known for its ghosts... great sound which is a miracle because the Olympic Stadium is a concrete fishbowl with the worst sound on the planet Many bands invest in their own sound system for this venue because it's so bad. It is an enormodome therefor it's impossible to turn the payday down, an adopted P.A. for a gig this big is a spit in the bucket. Compared to a lot of Metallica shows posted on TH-cam sound wise this one is a 10+. Montreal baby, born and raised! 🤘 🤘 🤘

The bass is just so awesome in this song( harvester of sorrow)especially considering that the bass was cut out in AJFA, Rob’s bass is bad ass!
I saw a proshot show from 89 that had Jason high in the mix. James was so pissed, why I'll never understand. Having the bass equal in the mix adds so much depth and texture. The reason why the bass is non existent on their best album is because James and Lars mixed it. It's all rhythm guitar and high attack kick drums. If you haven't heard "And Justice For Jason" look it up and listen to it immediately!

You can hear Jason really well in a lot of shows from his era. I saw em in 98 and they sounded great. Cliff may have shined as a songwriter and for his creative influence, but in my often somewhat humble opinion, I think Jason was the more technically skilled bassist, especially in thrash terms. His right hand was an equal to that of James -- you can hear it in the lines he laid down for AJFA on TH-cam. Jaw dropping thrash riffage. People practice for hours a day to get their right hand nimble like James, and to think Jason had that - on *bass* - is extremely impressive.
@Metal_Horror I totally agree. AJFA was 100% Jason's album from top to bottom. People don't like to hear it, but Cliff was just a frustrated guitarist who played bass. There are a billion of them out there.
@user-gy5xb9xt5f no but he was also playing a very big one of a kind bass. I had never seen it before or since. Because of it's thick, chunky agressive sound could be the reason why it came through in the mix. It's probably also the reason why it never made another appearance. James and Lars are very petty when it comes to anything competitive with their mids. Have you ever listened to "And Justice For Jason"? If not, do it immediately!

I saw this concert live and those guys are amazing. They are my inspiration for playing guitar. James was super nice and Kirk was amazing.
By the way, the sound quality in this video is amazing. It was much worse from the seats at the top.

I seen Metallica in 2019 in Boise. I was so very impressed and I had wanted to see them for many years. My night last night involved so much pain..I got up this morning and just happened to see this on my you tube on my big screen TV in my frontroom. I just started blasting this whole entire concert on my TV and it helped me feel so much better! ❤ Thank you Metallica for making life so much easier through your music.

He was able to pull his marks up in school and this was his reward. Thank for your video because now he will always have a memory of this time.

Took him for his first show as an early 14th birthday present. He loves it just as much as I do, 16 years later we're still headbanging together. 🤘Metal is for everyone, every age.

This is where James got fried by a pyrotechnic, Montréal is known for its ghosts... great sound which is a miracle because the Olympic Stadium is a concrete fishbowl with the worst sound on the planet Many bands invest in their own sound system for this venue because it's so bad. It is an enormodome therefor it's impossible to turn the payday down, an adopted P.A. for a gig this big is a spit in the bucket. Compared to a lot of Metallica shows posted on TH-cam sound wise this one is a 10+. Montreal baby, born and raised! 🤘 🤘 🤘
That happened at the “Big O” in Montreal where the Montreal Expos baseball team used to play.
Close by though.

Металлику слушаю с 90 года, в каком месте они сейчас охуенные? где мощная энергетика? ты вообще старые концерты видел? на них сейчас смотреть тяжело. Ни хэтфилд ни ларс уже не вытягивают. Одеты как клоуны. Последние 3 альбома как под копирку - ничего интересного. Их вклад колоссальный, но пора уже заканчивать и уходить на пенсию, заслужили, все хорош.
