So the case was 200 and the screen was 150 but i can get that all with this case for the same price and the software added.... ugh.... FML! Thanks for this and NOW making me order this one and send back all my stuff to amazon. Glad i kept all the boxes. 👍
Honestly the case is super dope, especially considering it has a touch screen panel with customization options on it and isn't just a display, I think it's actually pretty well priced and a good value as well, but also, jeez, $360 is just probably too much for a case specifically when you aren't building the best of the best. If you had a pretty much unlimited budget just for your PC (or something around like $5k just for the PC), then I think it is definitely catered towards the more elite high end user than the average user.
Omg thank you for the heart Ed! I love the channel, keep up the amazing work! Been a huge fan since probably around 2017-2018ish? I remember watching set up wars when the episodes weren't even in like the 50s yet! Wild ride its been!

The only thing I don't like about the Y70 is how much bigger the bezels are around the screen. My y60 has more screen real estate giving it a cleaner look. Other than that the Y70 looks pretty dope.
I tend to agree. Most of the advances have been mostly at the detriment of hurting thermals for these "gains" With this trend It's going to be incredibly hard to cool top CPU's and GPU's in the future. We're going to need some advances in cooling solutions as well.
What tech, they just slapped a Aliexpess bar display on a case. (Like literally, you can find that exact same display all over the place, just search for 14.1 1100 x 3840 touch). You can mod most cases on the market to have displays like that.

Lian li has had a screen for awhile. The lian li made sense cause it was flat facing forward not POINTED at you. Instead of a actually useful y60 successor they forced a screen dlc on you and considered it "savings".

The USB Header I would suggest a powered one as I fitted a normal one and had a lot of issues with USB devices not being recognised. Following the fitting of the powered one I had no problems at all.
If you have 2x USB on the motherboard and 4 components to connect, you can put two components together in the one connector. You just need to remove the plastic connector from one component cable and put the 4 cables into the cable port from second component.
The streamer mode on the Case screen is a quite good idea, but I think it’s still too small for streaming if You’re only going to use this for chat You are going to have some problems Because you need to see what they are Typing to

I agree it's not cheap. But I do have an opinion of spending a premium for a large case that I know I'll keep and not having to upgrade in the future or for years to come. My brother had to upgrade his case because he couldn't fit the 4090 inside. Case migration is really time consuming and takes almost double the time of building a new setup.
fun fact, im using the Y60 with a VSDisplay 12.6 inch IPS LCD display. Its not a touch screen I tried downloading the HYTE Nexus program and it actually works pretty good on it. Obviously some of the apps wont work as it doesnt see a touch display, but the CPU and GPU temps are on there, as well as storage, clock and the animated background. Much better than using Wallpaper engine on it lol
If you do plug this directly into your GPU, I wonder how much impact it would have when gaming, especially with its screen density. Kinda related to the video LTT did when testing multiple monitor set ups in relation to performance

27C is a problem? Wow! Upper 30's is common in here in the tropical hot season, even at night. To the acclimatized, 27C is reasonably comfortable. The adhesive is evidently unreliable and, albeit a minor flaw, should be fixed.
4:50 I just realized 85F(29.5C) is condisered hot, I thought it was just a normal temp, heck i thought it was even low compared to what the usual temps, I guess it's only normal on tropical country.
OMG Sign me up. Great video and Hyte did the right thing, giving this sample to you Ed, another honest and great review on something I need in my life. I will ask Santa asap. Ed if you read this, whats your plan for it?
At 5:00 minutes in when you ask what sane person would be in a room that's 85F...well, anyone in the US without AC in the summer. 85F is NOT that hot and its pretty inexcusable for a case to fail because you don't have AC. Especially a $360 case. I appreciate their response and I'd still buy the case, just wanted to point out your temperature defense doesn't hold any water; it'd be ridiculous if that low of a temp caused it.
its a very good idea... but think it takes away from the cases look. blocks your view from where you sit to the whole point of the Y60 and cases similar. cool idea, ill just stick to my second portrait monitor personally.
Most usb headers only use one set of pins. You can repin a second device into the same connector and use the second set of pins. That way u can have 4 devices plugged in
His argument was pointless to begin with. Who's buying a super budget motherboard for a $350 case? And the other side is SATA, you don't even NEED the USB header to power it.
Hi, i always set my room for that temperature i really feel cold below 85 degrees (27 Celsius). So its a bit troubling when u say no one operates at those temperatures. Great case and great analysis.just hope the brand check better those temperature issues with the screen.
I have the Red and Black Y60 and could have easily added the touch screen but decided not to and just have a regular screen touch screen would be a mess to keep finger prints off the glass.. so that was a huge NOPE for me.. did all mine in Dead Pool Theme looks amazing
Features like this is why I didn't bother to wait for Phanteks N9. Don't get me started on their tiny expensive LCD monitor that isn't touch. A screen that size on Amazon goes for a quarter of the price and has touch. There are models similar to this monitor on Amazon so it's not made by Hyte however they're decent monitors that people been using for their builds for a while now. This just gives you another choice of vendor with a bezel so it looks nicer.
I'd love that display and App, but I'm not really interested in the case itself. In fact I'd love to just buy the App, then use it with something like the Lenovo Yoga Tab 13. That would allow me to have it placed below my main display, where it's within my normal field of view, not way off to the side where my PC normally sits. Still an awesome review... Thanks Ed!
I like the Hyte cases.. but the y60 burned me by not fitting my 4090 and the GPUs will only get bigger. My money went towards a lian li o11d evo XL. Money well spent and it looks absolutely stunning.
Only thing I don't like is the power supply being side mounted and at the rear hidden away. Everything else looks fantastic. The LCD screen needs to be redesigned and properly mounted to the case though. Poor quality control/materials.

Just found my next case. TY very much for the excellent review. I hope the screen thing catches on and takes off. I see it is full of potential. eh, well, at least for me :)
This is cool....but...it takes a lot of space on desk. I would love to see ( inverted, one that doesn't rely on riser cable ) version of this case that is under this dimensions; Length 350mm, Width 300mm, and height 450-500mm.
I’ve got the Y60 and I was looking at buying a screen for it. Don’t need to now. Hopefully these aren’t impossible to get hold of in the UK. The Y60 wasn’t exactly easy to find.
It's funny, the case you pointed out in the beginning as the most recent one you fawned over is the same case you reviewed that made me want to build a year ago. Now here I am watching this video of the newest case to get you aroused, and it's the case I ended up buying. I found this video right after I bought it. lol How things come full circle. Please do a Y70 tutorial build!
I think I've found my next case! Though I'll wait for a non-touch or anything to make the price come down a fair bit. Not planning to build another PC for at most a few more years.
I would hope Hyte would make a Y70 non touch for people that don’t care for the monitor. $220 would be a fair price for a bigger and upgraded case.

Tbh when i first built my pc i never was greeted the activate windows watermark i find it it pretty interesting in my opinion
Love this! Ordered the White and Black case (estimated ship date 11-10-2023). I've never built a pc, but this case inspired me to try :)
4:49 "And this room gets pretty hot you guys up to like 85° celcius." My brother in christ that is almost boiling.
I LOVE my y60. This is the correct move for hyte. Sick case
Thanks Ed!
This is genius. Love this case.
Thanks!
Needs a 5 minute Hi-Def video loop of an aquarium, shot in Portrait mode.
SOLD!!! I am a new subscriber building my 2nd high end PC and i am loving your channel, your tastes are very similar to mine. Keep up the good work!!!
Am I the only one who noticed the eggplant as the most recent emoji on Ed's windows emoji keyboard? Legend.
I like the Hyte cases.. but the y60 burned me by not fitting my 4090 and the GPUs will only get bigger. My money went towards a lian li o11d evo XL. Money well spent and it looks absolutely stunning.
U just saved me as I was getting a 4090 and have the y60
Dang that sucks man, welp I guess the rog strix it is for me lol
Hyte really said “people do these in case screen hacks? Bet, we’ll do it FOR them”
Love that you’re watching Shotzzy
Only thing I don't like is the power supply being side mounted and at the rear hidden away. Everything else looks fantastic. The LCD screen needs to be redesigned and properly mounted to the case though. Poor quality control/materials.
Hi TechSoure I really love your videos and your channel you’re a very good youtuber i love channels like that I’m from iraq I have never seen a PC in IRL neither can afford it because mommy dad was abusive he left us but seeing you making a PC just feel so hype I love your videos keep it up brother ❤
I would pick it in black, cause the lights and colors get much more intense and also it would be better, if this use USB-C, instead hdmi ... great concept
I’m currently building a liquid cooled PC with this case and I’m stocked to see how it performs and looks
Can you please make a PC build only made in Best Buy. Budget right around $2,250
Definitely gonna order one for my current 4090 build soon. Great review 👍🏾
Had this exact idea, for my product design college class. Its now been done.
I have the Y60 and I'm so very tempted to buy the kit to add the screen, that is fantastic
I’ve got the Y60 and I was looking at buying a screen for it.
Don’t need to now. Hopefully these aren’t impossible to get hold of in the UK. The Y60 wasn’t exactly easy to find.
Amazing case tho. Was in LA 10 days ago, would have loved to see you even a few seconds to say hi :D keep the insanely good work Ed !
I think bro has some special relationships with his pc tech
It's funny, the case you pointed out in the beginning as the most recent one you fawned over is the same case you reviewed that made me want to build a year ago. Now here I am watching this video of the newest case to get you aroused, and it's the case I ended up buying. I found this video right after I bought it. lol How things come full circle. Please do a Y70 tutorial build!
I just ordered this case, back ordered. I'm looking forward to building in this!
Same, buying anymore new parts also or just tossing your stuff into it ?
Id get it if it were thinner. 12" wide is too big for my desk top. I hope they make a version 8"-9" wide.
I have a question ... WHY OH WHY did they put BLACK cables inside the WHITE CASE!!!!????
4:51 Celsius? yikes
As always! What a great video🎉
Oh man, I really want one! That is one incredible case! Might have to save for a few months for the black one!
Love is iOS UI
27 Celsius it's a normal spring in South Europe, South America and much more
I think I've found my next case! Though I'll wait for a non-touch or anything to make the price come down a fair bit. Not planning to build another PC for at most a few more years.
There's one, it's the last model but then you have to buy the screen which isn't touch but it will bring the price back to this one I think
Well you've sold me, im buying one. Thanks for the review.
def gotta get my hands on one of these 😍😍
I just bought Y60 few months ago. And now they release Y70 with much space needed. Omg Hyte, pleaaaaaase stop it.
I'm buying this hahaha
