21:36 Fash somehow got Phil Campbell mixed up with 1993 UK Champion Phil Norman, who still had long hair at the time of filming (Norman cut his hair similar to that of Campbell's sometime in 1996), and you may notice that Campbell corrected Fash during that. That mistake was edited out from the UK broadcast version.
Thanks for this. Always preferred our version rather than the uk, although it was nice to see some of what they got up to when they were here they cut out a lot of interviews
22:38 I know we sometimes call Wolf "The Wolfman" on the UK Gladiators. The Australian Gladiators like to use that as the title for his official name in his bio. I wonder who idea that was to change it?
He was a great character for the show and possibly why the UK version lasted so long, he was in EVERY episode ever made. Vulcan was great too and their little antics together were great viewing so when the aus version was cancelled it was a good plan to have him switch to the UK version.
I heard a podcast with Kim Betts aka Lightning, talking about how different the rings were compared to the UK and what she described was quite interesting
Cougar was actually charged with a sexual harassment claim which was later dismissed, but it unfortunately tarnished his reputation and he left the show. I’m not sure about Rebel, but she did an interview around this time about how unfairly she had been treated by some of the female Gladiators so this may have been a reason
@@someguy7775 The series was filmed after Season 2. One obvious sign was Mike Whitney's referee outfit, which had the Gladiators logo on them, but in the 1st and 3rd Heats of Season 2 (probably the first two episodes filmed of Season 2), the outfit lacked the logos. But seeing as Cougar actually appeared in the arena in the final, it's possible it would've been prior to his dismissal (I'm guessing Cougar would've been needed for Hang Tough if a British challenger made it through to the Ashes Final).
Kerry pushing Nightshade off the bridge was cut out the UK version. Weird they cut out them having a rematch on the Australian version.
australia and uk are like north korea

Blades Strength in Hang tough is amazing

Now THIS is the Aussie Gladiators I remember. Not that terrible 2024 revival...
Гладиаторы суперовские и шоу просто хит
Fash still does his trademark “AWOOGA!” even if the Aussies don’t know what that means.

24:45 Mike Whitney to Wolf: "GET OFF, YOU WEINER!"
Mike Whitney’s Ref Debut
I love all the best games and I would be a referee
This was the first time us Aussies laid our eyes on the Wolfman! LOL
there is hours of montages with his antics

He was a lot like the late Hawk
AU gladiators: Blade, Cheeta, Delta, Storm, Condor, Hammer, Taipan, Vulcan.
UK gladiators: Jet, Lightning, Nightshade, Vogue, Hunter, Rhino, Warrior, Wolf.
First time lightning was defeated in this event.

You're right Warrior, That Performance
was Pathetic!
Taipan is my favourite
How could I compare Wolf, Vulcan, and Hawk to each other?
They forget to mention that the Harley is the prize for the winners of the final.
38:22 Smack Talking about Wolf
@coordinator3039 Vulcan is worse than our Wolf
Fash is at his worse here for talking to contenders and gladiators like they are 4 years old.
How come rebel and cougar didn't participate in this series

Meh the UK production of this was a lot better.
