100% agree we are not meant to create content as fast as social media demands us too. It pulls the beauty, magic and etheric energy out of the delivery. Slow it down post only when you want to your content is beautiful and worth the wait to watch.
The beauty and uniqueness of your videos are the slowness and lingering shots - don't sell out and try to rush through like choppy reels, I can't watch those anymore, they make me jittery and give me a headache! The world it too fast anyhow, slow it down and do your thing -- quality over quantity for sure. Don't quit!
Hi Jess, just wanted to let you know that I understand and will follow your journey wherever it goes… here or on insta if that’s what giving you more joy, it’s all OK! I’ve been following your on insta for a while and am an avid TH-cam viewer, so loved it when I noticed you started here as well. But it’s such a different space making long form content, so I understand. What I’ve found is that the super casual not-too-stylized and planned videos at this time outdo the cinematic beautiful vlogs on here, and I kind of like that. So maybe let go of the thought that everything has to be beautiful and perfectly sitting in frame (although I do understand, ‘cause it’s your profession) and make it a little more casual. The way you’d use your super8. Don’t let it become too much editing and color grading, just a simple representation of everyday life. I believe this is what’s working on the tube now, so it could maybe be a win ;) but above all, you do you :D X yara
What you just showed was amazing it made me want to know where you were on those videos, so many beautiful sites, and the vintageness about them. Thanks keep going 💪you got this
Maybe you can stay in the farmhouse during the colder months and take Van trips/live in the Van during the warmer months! That’s pretty much a dream for me. Having the best of both worlds. All the best to you in your future journey. Can’t wait to see more ❤
Looking back you don’t remember the daily struggles. You won’t remember the current ones either. Keep going and keep tweaking. A word from an old wise one. Blessings ❤🙏🏻
Another sweet video, friend ❤️🩹🫶🏼 I fully agree with everything you talked about. Finding that balance between living and documenting is a hard one, especially when social media is in the mix. As someone who deleted Instagram yesterday, it’ll be interesting to see how I document now!

Beautiful video! I've always loved the charm of physical photos, they have something special to them that the digital ones just can't replicate

Not sure if you listen to the group First Aid Kit but your videos always make me want to listen to them. Similar vibe 🥰
Well said! Taking a break is so important. Love the transparency in this. Always stick to your values! ❤
I agree with this message 1000% and I did quit because of this reason exactly
Finally, content capturing moments that make us feel connected to nature and each other 💖. Beautiful work.
