This man is 1st class and when he plays here the majority of people seem to be sleep walking. Someone needs to wake them up.!! Lovely seeing one of his regulars. This man is just too talented for the street x
they might have been walking but they all heard it and several of them had a rythmic skip in their step
I normally agree that when people just walk by without even looking, that they are brain dead, sad, miserable people. But this is Nashville, they have bands playing everywhere... all there trying to get noticed, and all very good. After a while residents are probably numb to it.
BTW... don't feel bad for Døvydas. He is an internationally known musician, composer, songwriter, producer, etc. He played with and opened for some of the biggest names in the industry.
He has recording contracts with record labels, he has put out records (if you feel bad for him, go purchase his CDs at Apple Music, Amazon, Tidal, etc)
He has sponsors that give him guitars and gear.
He has a blues band that is considered one of the best in the genre.
I imagine he would get all of the session work he wants, he's invited to the biggest industry conventions, including the Superbowl of music conventions... NAMM, where he is always one of the most sought out celebrities/musicians in attendance - and this is an event that every big name you have ever heard of is in, or has been in, attendance. In fact NAMM was held in July this year in Nashville... put two and two together.
He is a millionaire several times over. He's not playing the streets so he can buy a 40 ounce Colt 45 and a hot dog. I'm guessing he plays the street for his TH-cam channel... over a million subscribers (you have any idea how much someone with a million subscribers makes on TH-cam when they have a channel with loyal viewers that puts out quality content?)
And besides making content for TH-cam and $$$$$$$$.... I think he genuinely enjoys playing on the street and interacting with the people. I think he would play the streets regardless.

I've been following him for a while now and yes it does upset me but I'm so glad that he is very well recognised and highly sought after. That's wonderful news. And thank you for informing me that he has his own CD out too. So this artist is famous and yet he still plays on the street and not only enjoys it but totally humble. Totally agree, I live in the Nashville burbs and used to work downtown. After a while with all the street players it's just like noise polution. Ever restrauant/bar had live music with all the windows/doors open and you cannot hear anything.
