    Very helpful, my friend. Thank you so much for making them. Cisco NetAcad is good, but there just aren't enough examples to get these done without taking forever. Really, you save me a lot of time and banging my head on the wall. Thank you. I hope you're well.

    I did everything right. But it was not possible to ping computers with ipv6 addresses. I had no idea that it was necessary to restart the interface))). Good thing I found this video. Thank you.

    I love that you did this video and shared it! I am in a class. It all makes sense, but sometimes just seeing it in action helps connect everything together. The cisco instructions are vague for people who are just starting so you have no idea how much you helped me! Thank you a million times :)

    In the table it shows that R3 s0/1/0 should also include an ipv4, are we also expected to add this information into the command line?

      @@TechAcad hi, thanks for the reply. Is there any chance, you can check the connection between Laptop B and the corporate server by changing ipv6 configuration(in laptop B) in to auto config.
      I managed to ping without changing the router.

    Question... is it necessary to delete the incorrect g0/0/1 ipv6 address (no ipv6 address command) or can you just simply give the command to assign the correct ipv6 address?

    • @TechAcad
      @TechAcad  ปีที่แล้ว

      If already assigned and needed change, then you must give the no Command.

    I followed all the instructions and all was good just it was for you on this video but, when I tried to ping PC1 from laptop B is not working. I also tried pinging 10.10.5.20 from pc3 and did not work. Is it because the ping cannot work from an ipv4 device to an ipv6 device?

    • @TechAcad
      @TechAcad  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can ping from IPv4 to IPv4, and we can set both IPv4 & IPv6 at the same time!

    ping 2001:db8:3::2 (to router 3) which works perfectly... but when ping 2001:db8:3::1 (to router 1) it does not work. As per my understanding it should work, from Router 1 and Router 3 are connected via the serial port... please explain..

    12:16, Under GigabitEthernet 0/0/1 -> we have 2 values.
    We changed the lower value or the ipv6 address because it was incorrect

    The new version of this has a bug, you have the whole packet tracer exercise at 100%, and have problems with the connection between hosts with ipv6... it's kinda stupid since i don't know what to fix to it (the error is between rtr-1 and rtr-2 and between rtr-1 and rtr-3)

      I sent my instructor tor an email about it. He says the packet tracer wasn't set up to run dual stack so its all good. I did manage to get some parts of it working. But not all of it

    Why do we have to do "shutdown" followed by "no shutdown" after changing the IPv6 address on RTR-3?

    • @KingUnity22
      @KingUnity22 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      To restart the interface. "shutdown" tells the interface to turn off and "no shutdown" tells the interface to start up.
