@@mdezfire1427 it doesn’t come through in the scene but I think the intent was that Terranort is moving so fast when he knocks ven out that the others are in total shock. The stuff in the paired fights in the main game is Sora’s perspective and he only arrives after the others have already been fighting. They all have legitimate reasons for struggling. Mickey is out numbered 4 to 1 Riku is fighting himself while also being outnumbered 3 to 1 and is more preoccupied with Ansem than anything else. Ven and Aqua are not outnumbered but have just returned from spending a decade in terrible situations and are immediately thrust back into combat with only a day of notice. Lea may have combat experience but fighting against keyblades and using one is something super new to him. Kairi is self explanatory. Minimal experience with both combat and a keyblade and fighting against people didn’t happen for her until the Keyblade Graveyard. I actually kind of appreciate that the good guys didn’t automatically win, and even Sora had to rebound from losing the fight.
The Riku & Terra bit was my favorite part of this fight. The whole "passing the torch" idea is really cool to me in general. That and I like the kinda big brother vibe Terra gives off in their interactions together.
Yeah it was a really cool part! I don't think I touched on it in the video, but I love how they turn their keyblades backwards just like the keyblade ceremony. I thought that was such a nice touch!
The epic battle Riku succeed where Terra failed. Aqua is a savage towards Axel (R.I.P. to his Japanese Voice Actor) Female and Mickey support And finally Ventus and Roxas being friends! Mickey: Let the light connect us.
Fanservice aside, this section of the game really brought that mystical feeling like I felt in KH1. Maybe it has to do with the deep blue background with the light effects, I don't know (whenever I would dream or think about KH3 it would be like this). But this part felt so tonally well done and epic. I get goosebumps whenever I play Mickeys song in my head, it's a perfect blend of heroic and desperate. Harkens back to KH1 when they had to pick 1 scene for Mickey to be in, where he had his first big impact on our hearts. And then the beautiful, Fantasia like moment when Mickey passes out and drifts down through the clouds is something right out of my nostalgia memory of Disney VHS tapes. I can't wait for the next games, this is my favorite franchise, but if KH3 taught me anything it's to disengage with KH a little more in times between releases. Especially with the theme of Verum Rex/Versus XIII being "a fantasy based in reality", I hope to live life to the fullest and when it's time to go on another adventure with Sora I'll be ready to answer that call with all my heart. Hope y'all stay safe and healthy!
Notes: The SC Successor actually can be Zantetsuken, which is a huge nod to how both of them also have Zantet. On Terra's Finish command, the wide spinning slashes actually hit *both* of the two Nort-clones he's dealing with. Terra's attack lines are actually dressed, it seems. The clear reason why exchanges between Aqua and Lea seem to butt heads is that Lea is laid-back and has jokey remarks, while Aqua is serious-minded, especially in battle. (Special point out to the fact of their contrasting elements- Fire and Water/Ice) It's also a nod for Mickey in his segment to how he was the coward of the group- not telling the whole truth and such. But there in that moment, it doesn't matter anymore- and that moment alone was enough to redeem himself and his title as "Keyblade Master." And man, we literally got three Soras in here- one backhanded, one on support, and one Synch Blading.
Oh, also since it wasn't mentioned, when Mickey pushes back the conjoined Nort beam, he uses a miniaturized Ultima Spell to block the attack. The orb has the same effects as the ultima spell that he casted in the cinematic.

RIP, I love the video but this is another time no one gives the nod to Xion, Ventus and Roxas team attack. I know it's obvious but I still wanna hear someone talk about basically the 3 Sora's heart protected finally teaming up and going against the guy that technically partially help shape who they are today. Actually its xion that talks back to Axel on the "Are we alright" part. I dont know why, but Xion and Aqua sound similar enough in this part it gets us all confused.
KH fans often see Roxas and Ventus as the same character (like twins) except one is edgy with two keyblades while the other is upbeat with reverse grip keyblade. Roxas is sora’s nobody but technically We still get to play as a character who looks like Ven.
This part and Mickey's part made me cry. It was so emotionally good, even the fights, the team-ups, the animations... Thanks ye for show this breakdown, Bio!
I am just so grateful to the people who worked on the animations, I can't stop replaying this just to see every bit of it. And the character interactions!! No doubt this just may be my most favourite scene in the game.
Honestly, at 6:24, Miracle Hour tripped me up, because last years KH crossover with Record Keeper had Roxas and Axel as exclusive time gained characters, and Roxas got a special move called Magic Hour, and that tripped me up because I'm not sure if they're both related somehow

Riku has no airstep and has a crappy air dash, making him stunnily slow in the air, has no magic other than cure and thunder, Aqua in a similar boat(Aside from at least having a decent magic moveset), Roxas has NO shotlock, and no spells aside from water, and Kairi also lacks airstep but at the very least is mostly complete. Add that in with not being able to use them in the data fights or AT LEAST the battle portals, given how Roxas, Aqua, and Riku's battles are just boring and terrible to play through, and yeah, I'd expect more if we're only getting 4 characters to play as and two of which were already playable in the first place.

This is just a speculation but the part of how Mickey swings the Giant Ultima Beam Sword to the Xehanort Clones, it almost looks like a reminiscent of Zone of Ruin attack (one of the Finish command from re:coded) And ah for Terra's K.blade effect, it seems a nod to the teeth on his keyblade. But that's just me probably. Other than that, heck yeah i've been waiting for this breakdown. Thank you so much for this!!! Always appreciate those little things

Is there anything remotely similar with Terra’s moveset compared to BBS? Also, I’m pretty sure that Ven’s finisher is similar to one of his Air Flair variants.
I think I mentioned that Terra’s is similar to his BBS combo and Ven’s finisher seems to be from one of his command styles! They have the same ending strike with a flurry of slashes beforehand.
Alex MYL I would say it’s because it’s a gameplay segment but like, they def had subtitles in the midst of gameplay when you’re exploring worlds at other points so who knows really? Maybe they just didn’t get around to it

Something that I just realized is that all this replica stuff proves that Xehanort is not megalomaniacal. If he were, then they all would've tried to make a grab at the X-blade, but instead all cooperate with no issues between each other.
I looked at different shots and I always came up with 12 actually! I definitely could’ve used a better shot though since I also thought it looked like there could be one off screen there.
I still don't get how they lost, Sora beat these guys and he had no help at all, how could 8 Keyblade wielders, 2 of which are Roxas and Terra, the guy that technically beat Sora and the Lingering Will, lose? Those 2 should've been able to solo these guys!
The fact that the 12 Replinorts are appear here, that mean Sora, Donald, and Goofy didn't defeat them completely, they're just push them away and keep survive until Master Xehanort and/or The 12 Replinorts decide to leave Sora, Donald, and Goofy ... is it not ? ...
Also I'm glad that I'm not the only one who thinks Terra and Roxas are should be so OP that they can duo the Replinorts all by themselves alone ... But in my case, I was way more overestimating them and too much exaggerated to think that they can duo all the Real Organization XIII all by themselves alone ...
6:20 seeing roxas get completely bodied after doing a big ol wind-up attack is really fuckin funny to me. that attacked murdered me so many times in the data fights in kh2, and this one replica just smacks him upside the head and he goes FLYING.

A lot of people seem to enjoy this but not me. This type of fanservice was just something thrown at us to distract up from the poor story that is KH3. Great analysis video though.

Devin Johnson magic hour iirc was his limit in Days and an attack for Aqua in bbs, not quite the same attack mind you but it has been used prior

Is there anything remotely similar with Terra’s moveset compared to BBS?
Also, I’m pretty sure that Ven’s finisher is similar to one of his Air Flair variants.
I think I mentioned that Terra’s is similar to his BBS combo and Ven’s finisher seems to be from one of his command styles! They have the same ending strike with a flurry of slashes beforehand.

Yeah the mixing was a little odd. I was going to play the clips during the breakdown but it was just so hard to hear.
Alex MYL I would say it’s because it’s a gameplay segment but like, they def had subtitles in the midst of gameplay when you’re exploring worlds at other points so who knows really? Maybe they just didn’t get around to it

Something that I just realized is that all this replica stuff proves that Xehanort is not megalomaniacal.
If he were, then they all would've tried to make a grab at the X-blade, but instead all cooperate with no issues between each other.
I wonder if it's possible to win this battle without pressing Triangle even once. Just do Riku vs one Replica until the health bar run out?

I looked at different shots and I always came up with 12 actually! I definitely could’ve used a better shot though since I also thought it looked like there could be one off screen there.

I still don't get how they lost, Sora beat these guys and he had no help at all, how could 8 Keyblade wielders, 2 of which are Roxas and Terra, the guy that technically beat Sora and the Lingering Will, lose? Those 2 should've been able to solo these guys!
The fact that the 12 Replinorts are appear here, that mean Sora, Donald, and Goofy didn't defeat them completely, they're just push them away and keep survive until Master Xehanort and/or The 12 Replinorts decide to leave Sora, Donald, and Goofy ... is it not ? ...
Also I'm glad that I'm not the only one who thinks Terra and Roxas are should be so OP that they can duo the Replinorts all by themselves alone ...
But in my case, I was way more overestimating them and too much exaggerated to think that they can duo all the Real Organization XIII all by themselves alone ...

6:20 seeing roxas get completely bodied after doing a big ol wind-up attack is really fuckin funny to me. that attacked murdered me so many times in the data fights in kh2, and this one replica just smacks him upside the head and he goes FLYING.
