Ahh, Augusta! A funny twin to Houlton, which had US 1 and 2 in a brief concurrency. Augusta has US 201 and 202 in a similar brief concurrency, but on the southeastern side, not the northwestern side.
I didn't notice the yield signs while we were driving. In random checks in Google Streetview, i can't find that anywhere else in the U.S. So it must be a Maine thing. Considering that the onramp goes into a dedicated lane, and then there's an acceleration lane before you have to merge over into traffic (there is no traffic in rural Maine), it doesn't even seem like a yield sign is proper for that application.

Nice ride through Maine. I noticed that all of the on ramps throughout had a yield sign I never see this in Georgia
