If we’re talking about striking yeah Leon is so clear but Islams threat of the takedown gives him hella extra success on the feet so in a fight Islam tends to put on more dominant striking performances. Hell it wasn’t that long ago Leon was down 4 rounds against Usman. Islam just beat Volk and outstruck him basically😂
Islam stood toe to toe with the best striker in ufc rn ( volk) and Smoked charles on the feet. These two performances are better than anything Leon has ever done. Bro landed one head kick KO and outstruck a washed up Usman off of a KO loss in their second fight and suddenly he's a top10 striker? Be fr lmao

Dricus was a WAKO champion, he is up there with Izzy in striking skill regardless of anyone criteria. Whittaker fans were laughing at me before the fight but I actually did my research on Dricus, he is way better than people give him credit.

I think Lucas Tracy is just more of a personality/content guy than an actual serious MMA analyst which is fine bc he’s pretty entertaining and constructs pretty good videos +knows how to get interactions. I also agree with your list more than his. I think Izzy and wonderboy can both either be at #1 and yair, sandhagen, and O’Malley can go either way with their positions and it would still have validity. It’s really hard to put a super accurate number on each striker. I think a tier list would be a better representative but either way i think your list is valid

Go look at the fight striking stats for significant strikes and Izzy lost both…. Got tko’d and was getting the shit beat out of him (breaking Izzy’s leg’s) until the Hail Mary. It’s still 3-1 overall, 1-1 in MMA and Izzy will not even fight Alex at 205 hence the pressure to move Alex up. Izzy’s a great fighter but he ain’t unbeatable by any means……..

Periera hasn’t proven anything except for being 1-1 with israel in mma and beating strickland. Israel has a much better striking resume and also a win over periera in mma you literally cannot put periera above israel even by your criteria.

@@destano2951 he was only outstruck by Aljo in round 2 of their first fight and round 1 of their second fight. All other rounds that took entirely on the feet, Petr dominated him. And with the O Malley point, Yan arguably should have won the fight not only based on the grappling, but by also landing the cleaner and harder shots in rounds 1 and 2. And for Merab, you can put ANY bantamweight EVER aside from maybe Aljo in there and he does the exact same thing to them so that’s not a good argument either.

Really? I'd pick Jan 49-46 in a 5 round kickboxing fight. He shuts down Adesanya's bread and butter which are his kicks and we saw him evade the boxing. I mean there's really not a great reason to pick adesanya there.

But those 4/5 rounds, Jan was looking visibly tired and Izzy was still fresh before Jan took him down both rounds.

Like him or not Lucas, Izzy deserves to be amongst the top 3 strikers in the UFC. No one has a striking resume in the UFC like his outside of Alex. Not his fault his opponents outside of Jan can't check his kicks...
Adesanya has lost too many times to other strikers and has had rly stinky performances against mediocre opposition. Just because he's not top 3 doesn't mean he's not good.

Lucas I understand that Alex has only a few wins but think about it he beat Izzy Bruno and Sean that’s already impressive enough since he was also a former champ I think Alex deserves to be in the top in terms of striking but I think if he can beat more opponents then he will definitely be up there but he achieved a lot in a small period but I’m happy you put him at 7th and Izzy at 8th that’s fair enough keep up the uploads my guy!
Alex was pushed to a championship tho so he hasn’t had the opportunity to have bad fights like Izzy and considering Izzy outskilled him in both their mma fights I dont think its fair to put him under Alex. I think Islam needs to be kicked out and Alex put on 10th

Couple things
1)if you're putting aside Pereira's kickboxing accolades and focusing solely on his mma striking, I'm not sure if he should be on this list at all. He took until rd 2 before he could ko a chubby wrestler in his debut, and he took bruno silva to a decision a few months before that same guy got out struck and finished by GM3 (which shouldn't even be possible)
2) Jan is very good and i think he should be on the list somewhere, but I've never seen a fight of his (barring the Reyes ko) where he looked anywhere beyond a very technically solid and defensively tight bread and butter kickboxer.
3) The way you talked about izzy blandly point fighting out decisions makes me think the only reason Bobby knuckles isn't on this list is because it was so obvious he should be there that you forgot you didn't already put him in. The fact he just got knocked out by a guy everyone underestimated doesn't change the fact that since the first izzy loss we have seen Whitaker absolutely dominate and break down half of izzys title challengers more convincingly than he could even dream. He completely shut out Vettori and gastelum LIKE IZZY SHOULD HAVE and cannoneer was the only one to have more than a minute of success in any of those fights. That's 3 fights where Whittaker showed more dominant striking than Jan has shown in a single fight in the ufc so far. Jan can't comprehensively 50-45 a striking fight nearly the way Whitaker does. I'm not sure where I would put him, but not even having him on the list feels wrong.
